Steamsaws can also generate with ego of shield.

Melee Weapon Egos

Properties above the split line are granted when this item is equipped, while those below are granted to weapon attacks made by this item.
Battleaxes, greatmauls, greatswords, and tridents have a 1.4 ego multiplier, by which most numbers showing as range in the bracket are directly multiplied. Fixed, non-ranging numbers are not affected.
