In v1.0.1 for windows, a Launcher app was added, which patches the game, enabling users patch rather than redownload new versions of the game.
Patching behind a proxy server
If you want to patch from behind a proxy server, set the http_proxy environment variable.
Eg. set http_proxy=yourusername:yourpassword@your.company.proxy:80
Then launch the launcher.
