Zone Information
The Lumberjack Village is located north of Last Hope after a random encounter titled 'Half-Dead Lumberjack' in which your help is requested to deal with a monster. The quest will show in your logs as The beast within.
On entering the village, you will need to engage with the unique 'Ben Cruthdar, the Cursed'. This level 10 human has 675 hp, uses the Cursed tree of effects, and has minor physical and light resists. Killing him gives the 'Curse Lifter' achievement, and killing him before any lumberjacks are slain gives the 'Fast Curse Dispel' achievement.
The Lumberjack village will reward you for saving them, with better rewards the more of them you saved. You receive up to 24 gold, and if less than 7 lumberjacks died then also a random ego pickaxe.
