The "Far East" refers to the eastern continent of Var'Eyal. Travel from the western continent of Maj'Eyal to the Far East is currently possible only through farportals, extremely potent transportation structures left by the long-vanished Sher'Tul.
Reaching the Far East therefore requires the discovery and activation of one of these farportals (The Wild Wild East quest).
