: Yes, you get the Crystal Focus back, but you lose the original weapon (you don't get it back). Then you can use the Focus again on another item/weapon.

The created item can be activated to recover the (Crystal) Focus I read this as: After grafting your Focus to a (non-magic) item/weapon, you can select the resulting magic weapon, to retrieve your Focus. The text further leads me to believe the Focus could be spent again, on a new item/weapon. Please enlighten me if I interpret this wrongly, but even more importantly, I'd kill (101 skeleton mages with a spoon) to learn what other message is meant by the above quoted text! Perpetuum

Yes, you get the Crystal Focus back, but you lose the original weapon (you don't get it back). Then you can use the Focus again on another item/weapon.
