Lite is the spelling used in ToME4 for light radius, and for the equipment slot which holds items whose primary purpose is continuous illumination (torches, lanterns, or magical glowing things that must be worn to function, such as the common Summertide Phial).
Increased Lite radius is also available as an additional power on many powerful items in other slots, such as shields and body armor. A few artifacts even provide Lite when carried, without needing to be worn. Notably, one artifact -- the Mummified Egg-sac of Ungolë -- decreases your Lite radius when carried.
