Zone Information
The Eerie Cave contains the wreckage of what looks like a technologically advanced lifepod (labelled "strange metallic capsule"), with the remains of a space dwarf inside it. The capsule can be interacted with to examine it and obtain the Bizzare Contraption.
There are no hostile enemies in this zone, but there are 3-6 gems on the ground.
Location
When you first enter one of the zones below at character level 10 or higher, there is a single 5% chance that the entrance to the Eerie Cave is placed on one random floor of that zone.
- Maj'Eyal: The Age of Ascendancy: Daikara, Old Forest, Golem Graveyard, Mark of the Spellblaze, Noxious Caldera, Ithilthum, Valley of the Moon, Erúan, Gorbat Pride, Rak'Shor Pride, Vor Pride, Trollmire, Norgos Lair
- Orcs: Embers of Rage: Internment Camp, Primal Forest, Steam Quarry, Sunwall Observatory, Sunwall Outpost, Vaporous Emporium
- Ashes of Urh'Rok: Anteroom of Agony (only visited by characters who started in the Searing Halls)
Zone Specific Artifacts
Notes
- The Eerie Cave can only appear once per character.
- The level requirement is only checked the first time you enter a zone. Entering one of the viable zones below level 10 voids that zone's roll for the character.
- The spawn chance is slightly lower in zones with few floors and many other events; only one event marked 'major' can appear per floor. This leaves about a 4.7% in Mark of the Spellblaze and close to a 3.8% in Golem Graveyard.
- Upon entry the zone is scripted to spawn five horror enemies; it looks for them in a file named "horrors" while the game's file is named "horror", so no enemies ever appear.
