First, here is my character sheet PRIOR to Final Battle:
Character Sheet Prior to Atamathon
Contents
NUMBER ONE RULE: TURN OFF ALL AUTOCASTS
Why? You need fine-grained control and ONE mistake will kill you - trust me.
NUMBER TWO RULE: YOU MUST HAVE 100 Mindpower
Why? You wont' be able to sleep him otherwise. And you need to sleep him to double the effect of inner demons.
NUMBER THREE RULE: YOU MUST STUDY MAP BEFOREHAND AND WORK OUT WHERE TO HIDE EFFECTIVELY
Why? Because when you use movement infusion you must go somewhere he can't find you. Otherwise you will die.
Order of Actions
1. Summon any creatures you can - thoughtform, yeeks (fronm Nexus of the Way), spiders, rats, etc. These provide great cover. Do this BEFORE activating him. 2. Activate Atamathon 3. Turn on instantly Resilience of the Dwarves, Shielding Rune, Heroism infusion, Wild infusion (for extra resists) 4. Turn on Leaves Tide (VERY IMPORTANT) 5. Do in this order
- Sunder Mind
- Slumber (and if this fails, Sleep or Nightmares - you have to sleep him)
- Inner Demons
6. Use movement infusion to go to place of safety (behind at least 2 trees, better if three or more 7. Rest until everything is back to normal.
The next bit is the trickiest. You have to repeat steps 3-7, but close enough so you can get within 7 spaces for step 5, while rune, leaves tide etc are still running.
But don't use your movement infusion! You need this to escape the second time after Inner Demons. (unless you are running two movement infusions)
There are ways of chcking if he is close. Summon a creature as far away from yourself and towards him as possible. If they return to you, you know you can step out 1-2 steps. If not, you're right to go!
So repeat 3 and 4, and step out towards him. If you are worried, you can pop your regen infusion, but I don't like to spend a turn like this, as he can kill you in one turn.
Repeat steps 5-7. He should be dead then! If not, try a third time and he will definitely die.
With mindpower 100 and his mental save reduced by Sunder Mind (which always hits!), you can get Inner Demons to stick.
ENJOY!
