Zone Information
As part of the main plot for the Embers of Rage campaign, each level of this zone has a giant steam valve that must be destroyed to make the Palace of Fumes vulnerable. The valves are guarded by increasingly larger numbers of Automated Defense Systems. These bosses will drop the mechanical core ingredient that is required for crafting certain tinkering items, and a total of 7 can be found in this zone. The bosses also come in three varieties: sawbutcher, gunslinger, and lightning mage.
The areas in this zone are not always openly connected, so the player may have to dig through some mountains in order to fully explore the zone.
