Official Description
Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Races
The new race introduced in Ashes of Urh'Rok, Doomelves, are Shalore who were abducted by demons and transformed into harbingers of doom, with their typical abilities corrupted into a darker form.
Doomelf
Main article: Doomelf
Doomelves have honed their skills in inflicting and resisting pain by the rigorous training on the Fearscape. They take great enjoyment in unleashing torments and suffering onto their victims with Pitiless, while the affinity with all things demonic grants them an ability to turn into a cunning dúathedlen. They can also teleport around the battlefield with Haste of the Doomed to create room for escape or deadly retaliation.
Classes
Ashes of Urh'Rok introduces two new classes to the Defiler metaclass: Doombringer - avatar of destruction imbued with Fearscape energies, and Demonologist - overlord of demonic spawns.
