In addition, all weapon stores in Last Hope offer to teach the Shoot and Reload talents (for 8.00 gold), and the Combat Training tree (for 50.00 gold). For characters who do not begin with the Shoot talent, this is the only source of it (hence, the only way you can ever use a ranged weapon). For characters who start without Combat Training, this is a much better place to get it than from a warrior escort quest, because you will not have to spend a category point for it, and you will get it at a higher mastery level.

Zone Information

Last Hope is the capital of the Allied Kingdoms, under the rule of King Tolak the Fair. It lies in the southeast of Maj'Eyal, and is the largest city on the continent.

The city has many shops:

 • Hormond & Son Plates (Heavy Armor, Massive Armor, Shields, and Headgear)
 • Rila's Leather (Light Armor, Gloves, Boots, and Belts)
 • Toxar Alchemical Tailor (Cloth Armor, Cloaks, and Belts)
 • Herk's Cutting Edge (Greatswords and Longswords)
 • Yulek's Tools of the Night (Daggers)
 • Vortal's Trees Choppers (Waraxes and Battleaxes)
 • Raber's Blunt Paradise (Greatmauls and Maces)
 • Dala's Far Reaching Implements (Longbows, Slings, and Ammo)
 • Sarah's Herbal Infusions (Infusions)
 • Sook's Runes and other Harmless Contraptions (Runes)
 • Library (Lore)
 • Urthol's Wondrous Emporium (Assorted, after completing Trapped! quest, if you killed the Assassin Lord and did not kill the merchant)

These stores are stocked and restocked as follows:

When Level Material range
Character birth 10 1-1
At level 10 20 1-2
At level 20 35 2-3
At level 30 45 3-4
At level 40 50 4-5
At level 50 60 4-5

(The library does not use the player level to find the material level range, but it doesn't matter because the items available are fixed.)

The following buildings within the city have special quest-related dialogs:

In addition, all weapon stores in Last Hope offer to teach the Shoot talent (for 8.00 gold), and the Combat Training tree (for 50.00 gold). For characters who do not begin with the Shoot talent, this is the only source of it (hence, the only way you can ever use a ranged weapon) in the Age of Ascendancy campaign. For characters who start without Combat Training, this is the only source of it in the Age of Ascendancy campaign.

Ungrol the Alchemist, in addition to participating in the Brotherhood of Alchemists quest, also reveals the location of the Last Hope Graveyard.
