"Eight legs of wonder" (or "Spydric infestation") is a Far East quest (typically the first one), initiated by talking to Melnela in Gates of Morning. She will only offer the player this quest if either they have travelled to the Far East through the Farportal in Reknor, or they are at least level 20. Therefore she will not give the quest to characters who started in the Far East, have not left yet, and are under level 20. She is a human woman dressed in blue, who stands in the northern central part of the town, amongst the stores.

Her husband, a Sun Paladin named Rashim, was investigating the caves of Ardhungol (north of the town), and has been missing for three days (regardless of what day it currently is).

Completion of the quest is extremely straightforward: go to the bottom of Ardhungol and defeat Ungolë. This frees Rashim, who will create a portal back to the Gates of Morning. Speak to Melnela again to finish the quest and unlock the Sun Paladin class, and gain the achievement Arachnophobia. Ungolë will also drop the Rod of Spydric Poison.
