This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack improves visibility of status effects by adding particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

This pack adds a "scanning" feature that allows you to quickly check the map for commonly queried things, such as character weaknesses, terrain effects, projectile paths, etc...

Background: After watching a friend nearly rage quit ToME after failing to understand stealth mechanics. It inspired me to add more information to the UI!

Cleaner Item Descriptions 1.7.0

This is a fork of Better Item Descriptions that simply makes the tooltip larger and uses long phrases instead of abbreviations.
It also works with zOmnibus's Inscription Compare feature.
- sorts all stats by category
- item's passive power always the same blue color
- item's usable power - always yellow
- all rarity categories are displayed
- encumbrance value moved to the right under item name
- "on hit" powers always green
- "Stats" have an orange highlight and placed before others

If you hold ALT before mousing over an item, you can see its vanilla description.

This mod is not meant for new players. If you ask what part of a description means, everyone gets to laugh at you.

However, feel free to suggest better phrasing.

Cleaner Item Descriptions 1.7.0

Nekarcos's Quality of Life 04: Healing Display (GOLDEN) 1.7.6

This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack adds damage logs about loss in healing (for example, if you're healed 200, but have -40% healing, it will display "80 anti-healing").
It also has an option to change how negative healing factor operates so that it is multiplicative instead of additive (a behavior which makes healing reduction generally more useful to you and enemies alike).
Background: The effects of reduced healing are quite invisible, and this always bugged me! This makes it more noticable so that when things like Draconic Body are affected, you can understand just how much damage it actually caused!

    Description: Surround yourself with arcane forces, disrupting any attempts to harm you by creating a shield of pure aether which can absorb 24 damage.
    In combat, the mental focus required to maintain and monitor the shield is too much and you let it run on its own. In this state once the shield power is depleted it will start using your mana to absorb hits, at a ratio of 1.43 mana per damage.
    Whenever mana is used by the shield it stores a remnant of this energy (up to -50 max). When the shield is deactivated any stored energy is released in a radius 5 arcane storm that lasts 5 turns, dealing 20% of the total stored damage each turn.
    Outside of combat the shield regenerates 10% of its power each turn and stored energy quickly dissipates.
    Dropping below 50% mana or reaching max energy storage will automatically deactivate this talent.
    The shield power improves with your Spellpower.
    The maximum energy storage is based on your total mana (ignoring sustained spells), with a limit at -25 effective mana.

    Whenever you cast a spell your mirror image will try to duplicate it at the same target for 66% less damage, if possible. If it can, it will lose 1 life, if not it will instead taunt a creature to focus its attention on itself.
    While the image exists you receive the damage bonus from the Invisibility spell as if you were invisible.

It has recently begun to destabilize, threatening to crash onto Eyal, destroying everything in its path.
