This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack improves visibility of status effects by adding particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

[Not compatible with Verbose Enemies]

A total rework of the "Verbose Enemies" mod.
Adds thousands of dynamic combat taunts, now triggered under various conditions:
- Boss-specific taunts, tailored per enemy
- Faction-specific taunts for towns and enemy groups (Zigur, Sunwall, The Way, etc.)
- Low-HP taunts when enemies are injured and getting desperate
- Configurable and mixable taunt pools (High/Low Quality, Modern, Rare)
- 'Called-shots' made by enemies just before they make a kill on you
- Friendly taunts and chatter in towns and allied zones

Supports blacklist filtering to prevent non-humanoids from taunting if you don't want them to, taunt rate tuning, etc. Includes UI config panel (under Misc Tab) for real-time adjustments.

Originally based on Death by a Thousand Taunts by Deeborm and Verbose Enemies by stuntofthelitter.
My main motivation to make this mod was, I love the charm it adds, but Verbose Enemies went for quantity over quality.

While some people may be ok with Gen-Z nonsense, brainrot, and non-sequiturs, I felt the need to curate and split the list and in the process, ended up adding a ton of new features.

This pack makes size categories VISIBLY apparant. To be clearer-- A "Tiny" ant will now look SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than, say... A "Big" bear.
Background: I know-- It's so obvious, right?? For the longest time, I've wanted to make this add-on-- But it was only now that I could confirm its stability.

    Description: Surround yourself with arcane forces, disrupting any attempts to harm you by creating a shield of pure aether which can absorb 27 damage.
    In combat, the mental focus required to maintain and monitor the shield is too much and you let it run on its own. In this state once the shield power is depleted it will start using your mana to absorb hits, at a ratio of 1.43 mana per damage.
    Whenever mana is used by the shield it stores a remnant of this energy (up to -50 max). When the shield is deactivated any stored energy is released in a radius 5 arcane storm that lasts 5 turns, dealing 20% of the total stored damage each turn.
    Outside of combat the shield regenerates 10% of its power each turn and stored energy quickly dissipates.
    Dropping below 50% mana or reaching max energy storage will automatically deactivate this talent.
    The shield power improves with your Spellpower.

    Whenever you cast a spell your mirror image will try to duplicate it at the same target for 66% less damage, if possible. If it can, it will lose 1 life, if not it will instead taunt a creature to focus its attention on itself.
    While the image exists you receive the damage bonus from the Invisibility spell as if you were invisible.

    Description: This intricate spell instantly erects a time shield around the caster, preventing any incoming damage and sending it forward in time.
    Once either the maximum damage (218) is absorbed, or the time runs out (7 turns), the stored damage will return as a temporal restoration field over time (5 turns).
    Each turn the restoration field is active, you get healed for 10% of the absorbed damage (Aegis Shielding talent affects the percentage).
    The shield's max absorption will increase with your Spellpower.
