Your unlocks should be account bound, so you shouldn't have to re-unlock anything. Unless you used steam cloud saving you won't be getting your previous characters back, though.

You get your unlocks back if you log into your account and got them while you were logged in. Other than that, you could use that unlocker mod that unlocks every unlock

Yeah, this game has a blog, and yes this is public.
If you like the sort of game you are describing, check out Elona+ it is somewhat a kin to ADOM (being based loosely off of it and aside from the many jRPG elements and the non-ironman aspect is a pretty straight up roguelike.
Could you please make the features configurable? I like some but can't accept other.
-Transparent talent/skill bar - NO
-Darker looking sidepanel, matches Dark UI - ok
-Added player doll to the sidebar (It looks cool :P) - YES
-Game map is always centered on player - NO
-Map scroll on middle mouse, removed mouse gestures - ok
-Most dialog windows don't overlap the sidebar anymore - NO, doesn't work on smaller resolution
-Taller new game dialog - ok
-Party hp bars match game maps hp bars - YES
-Left/Right click on party members/summons to give orders or control - YES
-Added remaining summoning time to party icons and tooltip - YES
Also, it seems you removed display talents/creatures functionality, which I sometimes use, so this is also unacceptable.

Its funny to see such a small patch- I hope it means that everyone is working on embers so I can sell a bit more of my soul to darkgod. Glad to see that doomelves now get that extra infusion!

Most artifacts do not have a fixed creature to be spawned from, although certain bosses comes with a fixed chance for a particular artifact to be generated on their kill, unless it was already generated before (in this case, killing Bill has a 25% chance to generate his Tree Trunk).
I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be about Embers of Rage.
