WTH transmogrification chest?

I just broke the game yesterday.

With the transmogrification chest, you can destroy plot items by clicking on them in the inventory and using the "transmogrify" button. In fact, it can even destroy itself. That would be an interesting topological exercise to say the least.

This didn't take too long; only a couple of hours. Sorry for the terrible quality. I used INVedit and Minecraft 1.6.5 SSP.

Ambush Glitch

Sorry for all the complaining I've been doing recently, but I found another game-ending bug. So, I died in the ambush you get after finishing Dreadfell. Was the fact that I had already killed Ukruk important? Normally they'd just take the staff and run off leaving you alive, but I'm assuming they wanted to avenge their glorious leader so that's ok. Anyway, I came back, and found everything but the trees turned black and only the orcs right next to me visible. I died a second time, and this time the trees were gone too, as well as the way to the worldmap. Just me and the orcs in an empty black void of nothing.

(As a side note, if you've upgraded the RoR shouldn't it take you to Yiilkgur and _THEN_ dump you into the ambush when you go back to the surface? If you try to use the portal to escape, maybe it could stop you and give you a message like "You feel uneasy carrying about the staff. You should bring it to Last Hope before something bad happens.")

Exploratory Portal Weirdness

Ok. I really like this new feature, but there are a lot of strange things.

First, the boss guarding it repeatedly oneshotted me when I first encountered it -- I came back to the game to find that it was a glitch and it doesn't do that normally.

Second, the levels seem to be completely nonpersistant -- What happens if you leave the level with the portal out on it?

Third, there are stairs up on the first level to "Randomplace(0)". And stairs up on the resulting level. And before you know it you're bashing level 5 monsters in "Randomplace(-16)"

This is in b26.

Major Problem in b26

Ok. I've encountered a major problem. Quite simply, stuff doesn't respawn like it usually does. I'm pretty sure this is unintentional; it's not in the list of changes. Once you've cleared out a zone, monsters never repopulate it.

Thoughts? Advice? Anyone?

I hate...

-Orc cryomancers. Oh so very very much.
-The maze.
-Having to do the six orbs puzzle over and over again with each character.
-Hybrid classes. What kinds of stats is a Wyrmic or Arcane Blade supposed to put points in?
-Grinding because you've run out of safe-ish dungeons but won't dare enter Dreadfell until level 27 -- And even that's a bit risky.
-Being permanently confused because you're standing nest to a headless horror you can't get away from because you're confused.
-SKELETON. MASTER. ARCHERS.
-Reknor. The levels are too large to find anything, and are full of multicoloured dragons.
-Spending half an hour searching for the exit on a level and finding that it's about five squares away from the exit.
-When the minotaur fails to drop his awesome magic mapping gem. I forget what it's called but it's the best light I've ever found.
-When you're told that the staff of absorption got stolen even though you killed all the ambush.
-Having more than seven abilities.
-Enemies getting WTFHAX critical hits at the worst possible moments.
-When the game runs at 4 FPS because there's an acid cloud on the level.
-When the game runs at 4 FPS anyway.
-Being sandwiched between some gravity-altering abomination and the Sandworm Queen in an unstable tunnel.
-The tidal pulse attack that orc high cryomancers have.
-The Shimmering Caves. My anorithil had difficulty there at level 15.

Disappearing talents window text

This is a weird graphical glitch I've run into about five times now. Sometimes, seemingly at random, all the text in the talents tab down at the bottom right disappears -- I can still use my talents and hotkeys, but it's freakishly inconvenient. I've had about two of my chracters die after forgetting what was assigned to what key.

Sometimes the text comes back and disappears again, but usually it's permanently gone. The weirdest thing of all is that it appears to be tied to my save file -- If a character's text is missing, it doesn't mean thatit'll be missing on your other charatcers too.

What's going on? Is this what using infusions while suffering from infusion saturation does? Is it even a glitch? Can I get rid of it? Once the text came back after I added an infusion to one of my empty slots.

Whatever it is, it's a real pain.

Silvertail the Level 18 Cornac Berserker

Ok, I'm pretty upset about this. I dunno if this is intentional or a well-known glitch or what, but I had just entered the sandworm nest when I had the tunnel collapse on me and died. Fair enough, but then I resurrected and was metaphorically turned into a fossilised vegetable. I was stuck in a sand wall, but my character never got a turn. The only thing I could do was manage my inventory. My character just sat there, unable to do anything, still trapped, for some reason never suffocating. Just watching the days fly by for all eternity. If I hadn't taken antimagic immediately beforehand I could've used my Rod of Recall, but given how the rest of my items were acting I doubt if it would've helped.

If it helps, I'm using version 3.9.20.
