hey everyone! due to a certain youtube video, theres been a recent influx in new players. i love this game to bits, and am always glad to see more people playing it. that being said... the game can be kinda overwhelming at first. i'm more than happy to help, if you have any questions.

i suggest trying out cornac or dwarf for your first character, as theyre pretty simple to understand. as for classes, berserker and bulwark are probably the simplest, but by all means, go for whatever looks coolest to you.

a complaint i get a lot from friends i introduce this game to is the lack of a traditional "wizard" class. that's an unlock, but fortunately, its a very easy one. play the game normally until you find a unique (yellow name) item with the "arcane" tag.
