The Hammer of Urh'Rok, Part I
Spearhead the demonic invasion of Maj'Eyal in this high-speed mini-campaign.

((This Addon requires the Ashes of Urh'rok DLC))

In this timeline, the Scourge from the West died after using the Demonic Orb of Many Ways, giving the demons everything they needed to get through the planetary shield. As a Bringer of Doom in service to the demonic invasion, you will fight your way across a dozen new zones, uncover mysteries, pillage cities, join evil cults, and bring ruin to the land of Maj'Eyal.
The Hammer campaign is shorter than Age of Ascendancy, shorter than Embers of Rage. To provide the whole ToM'E experience in a quicker time-frame, the player levels up much faster, and enemies drop noticeably more treasure. Unlike the Arena, the classic features of multi-level dungeon zones, rare enemies, and so on are still present.

Future updates will bring better art, more variety, and all sorts of content.

Adds a new race: the Vorloth.

Vorloths are not from Eyal, they are from planet Luxam.
They are unique sound creatures, fragile but powerful.
Vorloths have their own starting zone, and they have a unique post-game boss fight.

Adds a new Chronomancer subclass, the Quantum Slider.

The class has a very unique way of gameplay: you should run & teleport as fast and as many times as you just can.
Running with very high speed and teleporting gives you several benefits. Sliders are always on the Run.

Quantum Slider has only the Spellbinding (locked) tree from the original chronomancy trees.

Their new, unique trees are:

Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

  • Start with a new class, the Doombringer! These avatars of demonic destruction charge into battle with massive two-handed weapons, cutting swaths of firey devastation through hordes of opponents. Armed with flame magic and demonic strength, they delight in fighting against overwhelming odds, softening up the crowd with waves of fire, then feeding on the flames and suffering of their surroundings to stay alive while quickly reducing any group to a pile of ash and gore.
  • Unlock a new class, the Demonologist, with an all-new item enhancement mechanic! Bearing a shield and the magic of the Spellblaze itself, these melee-fighting casters can grow demonic seeds from their fallen enemies. Imbue these seeds onto your items to gain a wide array of new talents and passive benefits, and summon the demons within them to fight on your side! Ever looked at a gigantic demon-cursed minotaur and wished it was on your side for once? One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!


Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

  • Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
  • Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.


Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

  • Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
  • Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.


Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

  • Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
  • The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
  • The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
  • The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
  • Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.

  • Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?

    Description: Passively enhances your Inertia Beam.
    On learning this talent, each time your Inertia Beam directly hit an enemy (you target that enemy), 2 new Inertia Beams will trigger from that hit target.
    New beams will randomly search targets within range 11. One enemy can just trigger one new beam, and furthermore your original Inertia Beam will hit your direct target one additional time. (even if there are no enemies around it)

    Also, the Slow effect of your Inertia Beam is 1.3 times stronger.

    Description: You create a temporal anomaly with yourself in the epicentre. All momentum from the surroundings will flow to your direction.
    Whenever you deal damage, you have a 42% chance to apply 1.45% slow for 2 turns on enemies. The effect is cumulative, continously damaged enemies can be slower and slower.
    This effect is a magical slow, therefore different from other slow effects. Every new apply refreshes the duration and the effect is capped at 200%.
    The chance to apply the slow increases with your paradox spellpower.

    The lumen of the light reduces the targets vision range by 1.
    The damage scales with your paradox spellpower, the vision reduction effect makes a paradox spellpower vs physical save check.

    Learning     Sands of Time will add extra effect.

    A Slider with     Not Really Here sustained is immune to the detrimental effect and gains a random beneficial effect instead, thats powers scaling with talent level and paradox spellpower.
    The damage can crit and the effect stacks. The damage and chance to pin will increase with your paradox spellpower and the pinning also makes a pin immunity check.

    Description: Your Tears of the Forsaken spell now weakens the targets' molecular structure. Weakened targets has their raw spell, physical and mental saves reduced by 0%, and their pin, knockback and teleport immunities reduced by 2%.

    From effective talent level 4, your     Tears of the Forsaken ignores pin immunity.

    The storm will start to decompose already pinned enemies. Decomposing enemies are vulnerable to all damage, they take 1% more damage from all instance.
    While a target is decomposing and also under the effect of     Sticky Past, each turn one of the targets talent will be placed on cooldown for 4 turns.
    The damage multiplier will scale with your paradox spellpower.

    If you follow     Path of Pain, your Q Energy talent will enhance the damage multiplier.

    Description: For Sliders, movement speed (momentum) is a source of power. Every time when you move faster than 722% movement speed you will get a charge for alpha strike.
    Each charge gives you 6% of relative charge up for 1 turns and each new stack will refresh the duration.
    The effect stacks up to 100% and when you reach this level, your non-instant offensive chronomancy talents will become instant. When you cast one of your chronomancy spells, you will loose the Alpha Strike effect and have to cumulate it again.

    Description: Sliders have to defend themselves against the turbulences in the spacetime while traveling around the multiverse.

    While sustained, on taking damage you gain a 333 power damage shield for 4 turns. This shield can be a spell critical.
    You cannot gain this damage shield for that many turns that this talents current cooldown when it triggers. (You will gain the Quicksilver Recharge other/detrimental effect that prevents it.)

    Furthermore while sustained, every time you move with more than 722% movement speed you gain 6 extra power to your existing damage shield. The effect stacks and the shields duration refreshes.
    You have to have a damage shield to gain benefit from the stacking effect through your high speed, and:
