Adventuring Party

Adventuring Party

Tired of being alone on your adventures? Tired of being an archmage with no one to give that unique battleaxe to? Tired of having no one to use your healing spells on? Tire no more, for now you can create fully controllable additional party members to join you on your adventures, each as capable as your leader. Included is a sustainable talent to control each party member as their turn comes up to allow fully tactical combat when things get rough.

-Grants the ability to add any number of additional members to your party each with their own race and class, allowing you to take on higher difficulties.
-Select race and class of the party members to be created by raising and lowering free talent levels in a new automatically unlocked talent category and then activate the spawner talent to create a new member.
-Mark characters you no longer want to be deleted on death by selecting them and using that same talent on a character created by it.
-Revive dead party members by channeling a talent for 100 turns.
-Gain full control over each member whenever it becomes their turn by activating a sustainable talent on any of your party members.
-Gold is effectively shared between each party member allowing each character to use stores and trainers as well as benefit from gold based talents.
-Can create any race, class, and gender of which you have unlocked and is able to be played in the infinite dungeon, even from addons.
-Can define any party member's ally compassion by the game's default give orders dialog.
-Can define any party member's self preservation by the game's default give orders dialog.
-Can disable friendly fire damage via a sustainable talent on a per-character basis.

-!Due to how alchemists are designed, you will not be able to take direct control of their golems if the alchemist is not your main character, but should still function correctly elsewise.
-!To prevent compatibility issues with other addons, the talents this addon use to create new party members still require you to have a talent point to raise them, but will not cost one to raise.
-!This addon will not add its talents to a character that was created without the addon enabled.
-!Due to some potencial save-breaking issues, you will only be able to change zones with your main character selected.

For a list of changes, please see the change notes on steam or by reading the int.lua file included in each downloadable version.

Really odd interaction with the bazaar mod

Seems to have a really odd reaction with the bazaar mods first escort to the shop town. It causes you to loss your party member (if you have one) and have it replaced with the escort permanently (instead of escort leaving the party it steals the spot that the party member was using and can not be revived to at least gain the items it had equipped) instead of leaving your party when it needs to.

Other Addons are Other Addons

There is nothing I can do about someone else making an addon that fails to remember which party member is which. So you'll have to bring it up with them.

Currently brakes orcs dlc campaign

With this active it will cause the place to get stuck in the ocean after leaving Kruk Pride. Disabling this addon and getting out of town (after doing starting quest as an orc) comes out of town correctly.

Huh

Don't know how I missed that. Or why the hell it would happen as I made no changes to what happens when you leave a zone. Will try to solve. I would had responded sooner but I don't actually check this page often. I'd suggest you write on the steam page if you want a quicker response.

Oh Okay

Turns out that the whole design of this addon is built on a set of code that completely wrecks the game settings right now into thinking you're in specific game settings. Which has surprisingly hidden impact on gameplay in most places. In this particular case it seems the rod of recall sends you to the majeyal campaign rather than the orc one when you leave the orc pride, which is kinda strange really. Probably messes up a lot of weird background things I never noticed too. Guess I actually have to sit down and properly configure this addon instead of relying on makeshift code. Shucks. I have no idea how long this'll take me.

Solved It

It should be solved. I think. It worked. Maybe I broke something somewhere else..? Meh should be fixed so whatever.

I spent a few hours trying to hyjack the character creation screen, but it didn't work and I'm too busy right now to focus on finding out so instead you just get a crappy boring fix for 1.1.0 instead of a fancy new character creation system.

Issue in current version

Current version of adventure party has party members not getting any exp.

No EXP?

Well, they never did gain EXP, they should level up when your party leader does.

Though I assume that's what you meant, and when I think about it I think this version may be incompatible with saves created with an older version of this addon. I didn't think it would break anything but I don't really understand TOME's save system 100% yet.

That said if they also aren't gaining exp on new characters save files then I'm highly under the impression it's an addon conflict.. so I suppose I'll restore the original behavior in addition to having the new behavior which is a redundancy, but should restore old saves to working condition and prevent poorly designed addons from conflicting with this one.

thanks

Thanks for the update

This is a great addon to play the warzones challenge :P

This addon works really well with the warzones addon. Thanks for making it.
