- Note to self: Wyrmic lacks any flat damage reduc, and putting in class talent points for allres when it could be on damage prevention such as damaging talents or utility talents, be careful
- Force fights 1v1 with terrain manip. Extremely important
- Weapon Wyrmic stat spread is STR > WIL > CUN > DEX
- Breath Wyrmic is the same but WIL can be capped out more
- If playing with Drem, possible multiple times can trigger Static Field
- Ice Wall is transparent and can be used from range ( take note for myself, as I always use it in melee range ), use it to:
-> Block projectiles -> Cut off enemies ( for meditate and seperating them ) -> Confuse enemy ( They will still try and path around and away from it )
- Ice Wall blocks can be turned permanent if you use Quake, creating little islands. This takes time to setup, so do it as part of pre buff - Using Reckless Charge ( two-hand offense tree ) with Burrow, move into diggable walls without digging that wall. Then move into another tile to dig that one, isolating yourself.
- NOTE: You will still suffocate. Bring a Belt with unlife ego to make use of this.
- It's true value lies in the Poison, which cannot be saved against - and second to it is the respen
- Drem - breath
- Halfling / Dwarf - melee
- Shalore - WIL synergy; Treants hit really hard and inherit your BlightRes to be converted to AllRes, higher points in the talent may result in Treants chainstunning due to (treantTalentLvl equals to TalentLvl)
- Flexible Combat, Cauterize, Draconic Will

Equilibrium management?
How do you usually manage your Equilibrium? Just use Meditation, regardless of the damage reduction?
Also, do you prefer two-hand offense tree or shield offense tree?
My first ever ToME win was a Dwarf Wyrmic on Normal Adventure, but could never make it work for Nightmare and/or any Roguelike game yet.. :(
Thanks,
McKwack
Response
Hello, I am not at all an experienced player to have any merit on advising you, I have never won a run before. This is just a note I had for myself. I am playing on Nightmare because of the multiplied loot drops and EXP from the frequent Rares.
However, if you still would like to hear my two cents on this:
> EQ management
This should never come up on a Weapon Wyrmic, because you use your highest offense talents off the bat and you preferably don't want to be casting talents frequently because of Assault / Dissolve's massive attack damage with shields.
On a Caster Wyrmic, or breath focus: I haven't played it yet, but the Harmony tree will help you manage it just fine. Before that, I personally recommend Acidic Spray. Float points in it since it isn't so good in end game. It becomes a beam ( piercing ) at talent level 5, does good damage for it's EQ cost and cooldown.
Devouring Flames and Healing Nexus is a good combo amidst a crowd to quickly shave your high EQ.
> Weapon preference
I prefer shield offense, it works better with Wyrmic's innate low accuracy issues. Use guard to apply Counterstrike, and Assault / Dissolve to blow things up. Take note that 2-handed offense's Reckless Charge allows you to basically flee into terrain without destroying it when combined with Burrow, and then your normal resumed movement will destroy terrain, making an isolated island.
Additions from my breath wyrmic attempts
Breath Wyrmic:
- Higher Draconic Abilities is mandatory. Until Chromatic Fury at level 22, it's more of an Acid Spray Wyrmic than a Breath Wyrmic. 1 point doubles breath damage by adding Will to the Str scaling, max it later for the damage pen.
- Higher seems very well suited to the class. Activate Highborn's Bloom, spam a bunch of breaths for free, reset cooldowns with Nature's Balance, then cast them again for actual EQ cost.
- Prodigies: Draconic Will and Adept. Could also use ICCTW, but Adept is nearly the same damage but with lots of other small perks (like only needing 3 points in Nature's Balance and pushing breath range to 12 because it's not actually capped at 10). Elemental Surge seems like great fun, but the buffs aren't that controllable.
- Maybe a spoiler, but go to Zigur with 1250 gold and unlock all of the training you can. Both trees you can unlock here are great and fill in the defensive tools the base kit lacks.
