Embers of Rage 1.4.4

Official Expansion!

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Features:

  • Explore a whole new campaign from level 1 to 50, one year after the events of the original Tales of Maj'Eyal campaign. Liberate the Orcs (or die trying) by rising up against the Sunwall, the Steam Giants of Atmos, and other dangers that may lie in wait...
  • Play as one of three new races: the battle-hardened Orcs, the brutal Yetis, and the unstoppable Whitehooves. Discover their stories, their pains, their hopes... and their awesome racial powers!
  • Risk your life in over 20 unique zones! Explore the ruins of a lost city, lay siege to the Sunwall forces at the Gates of Morning, and raid the Steam Giants' mining quarry - each has its own unique foes and hazards, leading each to feel and play different from the others.
  • Play as one of the four new tinker classes: Gunslingers, Sawbutchers, Psyshots and Annihilators! Plus a class evolution: Technomancers! Crush and rend your foes with heavy metal, electrocute and immolate them with your gadgets, charge across the battlefield or nimbly strafe in style - each plays differently, and none provide any shortage of ways to slay your foes.
  • Master steam technology to build powerful tinkers to augment your equipment. Need to close in a bit quicker? Turn your boots into rocket boots! Having a hard time deciding whether to shoot someone or stab them? Build a Hand Cannon into your gloves, or deploy a Weapon Automaton to do the stabbing for you! If you have a problem, steamtech has a solution, usually involving explosions; with over 80 different powerful contraptions to craft, enjoy unparalleled versatility and trying something different with every playthrough.
  • Master the tactical uses of over 140 talents! Fire bouncing trick-shots and psychic-infused shots, use your steamsaws as shields or wheels, terrify your foes with long mechanical arms - there are no "boring" talents here, everything has its own special applications and properties!
  • Use advanced technology in the world of Eyal! Burrow through sand, plant bombs to destroy tunnels, and discover that you aren't alone in using it...
  • Infusions and runes are for puny humans; implant new medical injectors to pump an array of experimental chemicals into your body! Injectors can use any (infinitely reusable) salve in your inventory as long as they're off their cooldown, giving you versatility you've wished you could get with a couple of inscriptions.
  • Loot over 70 new and powerful artifacts. Pump lead into foes with big guns, quick guns, and explosive guns! Shred them with saws that maim, saws that thirst for blood, and saws that aren't really saws! Violate common sense by strapping a rocket to your back and calling it a jetpack!
  • Enjoy dying in horrible and exotic ways at the hands (or claws, jaws, guns...) of over 140 new creatures! Not mere piles of stats and chain-stuns, these foes will provide unique challenges - suffer the Sunwall's newest cosmic spells, the new breeds of ritches that infest and multiply, the Steam Giants' elaborate defense systems, and find new strategies to adapt to each!
  • Earn a trunkload of achievements! Have your accomplishments recognized for liberating the Orcish people, displaying exceptional mercy or cruelty, or showing your prowess with impressive feats! Give a boss a fate worse than death, show Sunwall forces how frustrating it is to fight a Radiant Horror as a paladin, come out on top against impossible odds, display a suicidal lack of situational awareness, and wear a badge of pride or shame for each!
  • Read roughly 27,000 words of new lore to immerse yourself in the world! Learn how things have changed since the Scourge's campaign, feel hatred and/or pity for your foes, uncover grand schemes and sinister plots, and notice the elaborate connections between Var'Eyal's numerous factions. Every zone has a story behind it, and every story ties into a bigger picture; enjoy a tale of horror and humor, of intrigue and glory, of despair and hope.
  • Earn the right to use the classic (and Ashes of Urh'Rok) classes in Embers of Rage, and the new tinker classes in Maj'Eyal! Play a Brawler in the East to fulfill your life-long dream of suplexing an entire nation of giants, or play a Sawbutcher in Maj'Eyal to shred through Dreadfell in a whirlwind of sawblades and steam!

Experience Controller 1.4.8

Experience Controller is an addon that lets you change the amount of experience you receive upon killing foes.

You can enable/disable it realtime and it will work from the next kill onward. It also works for arena and infinite dungeon alike.

THIS DOES NOT DISABLE IN-GAME AND STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS.

How to enable/disable or configure this addon:

  • Download, install and activate it. Start a New Game.
  • You can enable/disable or change mode, set the amount of flat experience or multiplier to apply to each future kill from the "Gameplay" settings in-game.

Modes functionality:

  • VANILLA -> Doesn't change anything compared to original game.
  • BALANCED (default) -> Gives on general more experience to the player on higher difficulties than original game, depending also on the rank and level of the defeated enemy.
  • VERY FAST -> Gives 250% flat experience compared to original TOME.
  • FLAT -> Each kill gives X experience points, regardless of what you kill or what level you/they are. How much per kill can be configured in the Gameplay settings.
  • CUSTOM -> Multiplies by X all the experience you gain from kills. You can set your own multiplier in the Gameplay settings.
  • INSTANT LV50 -> One kill for LV50. A cheat way to test out new builds REALLY fast.

Odyssey of The Summoner 1.4.8

This is a highly extensive "unofficial DLC" that takes the summonable creatures from the Summoner class and turns them into fully-talented, highly-comprehensive classes with their story and unique events.
This pack features the ranged summons: Hydra, Fire Drake, and Flamespitter Ritch.

      • Disclaimer: This is NOT a full release. There WILL be errors and unpredictable behavior. I am patching things out actively, so play with discretion and send as much feedback as possible to the forum thread to accelerate the completion process!

Details:
This modifies the "Age of Ascendency" story, as you are no longer human, but rather, a natural, spiritual being. This means several conversations and services may become unavailable or even change to behave in new ways.
The plot's progression is mostly unchanged, but now you are operating under the command of an ominous individual known only as "The Summoner". He sends you off to do tasks-- But in the end, it is up to you to decide whether you will work cooperatively with him or not.
This was a labour of love, and I would want nothing more than for you to enjoy a new flavor of experience-- And a new type of challenge and difficulty in Tales of Maj'Eyal.
Please, enjoy!

Expanded Details:
"Hydra is a nigh-indestructible damage sponge that doles out as much as it takes, capable of attacking several times and several targets per turn. It possesses Feral, Glare, and Drool heads, each respectively associated with its Physical, Mental, and Magical wellbeing. You can choose whether you want to bite, stare, or spew your enemies to death-- Or maybe even some combination of such!"
"Fire Drake is a dedicated pet general, leading a batch of child fire dragons called 'Drakelings'. They are capable of growing and learning many of your talents-- But you must choose whether you will dedicate yourself to nurturing them, or making yourself powerful enough to protect them from the dangers of Eyal. Cooperation and good education is the key to success!"
"Ritch is a fullblown assassin, possessing a variety of techniques that want nothing more than for its victims to bleed, burn, and die to death-- And not necessarily in that order. Most significantly, they can craft and engraft bladed weapons to replace their claws, making them the only Avatar class capable of utilizing human weaponry. Killing is a skill, and you're good at it!"

Embers Empyreal 1.4.0

Adds the Empyreal class, using gravity and the new celestial trees from Embers. Errors without it.

This addon is now DEPRECATED and will cause bugs. Instead, please use the Celestial Oddities pack. That said, I don't think the Empyreal is working correctly, and it might be beyond my abilities to fix it. Sorry!

Select your Escorts 1.4.8

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)
Note: Unfortunately the only time that addons can get the possible escort types is after the random escort quest is assigned.
This means escorts added by other addons will not be available for selection, but will still be possible to find using the random selection.

To reach me faster, please leave a message on the Steam Workshop page. I don't get notifications on te4.org so I may take longer to reply.

New Gem Types 1.4.2

Adds several new gem types and attempts to fill in some gaps in Tiered gem colors; also adds the Crystal race.

This is a continuation of jayseesee's original addon. It's my hope that the gems in this release are balanced, consistent across tiers, and useful to a variety of different characters.

Also hopefully all the Crystal's balance issues have been worked out: it should be an interesting tactical challenge to make best use of its unique mobility, find the right time to exploit its Runic Saturation status clear Stasis talent, and optimal self-imbued gemstone for each dungeon.

As always, please let me know if you find any issues in terms of bugs, game mechanics, or interface!

Ignore Race/Class Locks 1.1.0

Modifies the character creation dialog to bypass the lock check for races and classes, allowing characters to be created using locked races and classes. Doesn't actually unlock anything.

Ashes of Urh'Rok 1.4.0

Official Expansion!

Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Features:

  • Start with a new class, the Doombringer! These avatars of demonic destruction charge into battle with massive two-handed weapons, cutting swaths of firey devastation through hordes of opponents. Armed with flame magic and demonic strength, they delight in fighting against overwhelming odds, softening up the crowd with waves of fire, then feeding on the flames and suffering of their surroundings to stay alive while quickly reducing any group to a pile of ash and gore.
  • Unlock a new class, the Demonologist, with an all-new item enhancement mechanic! Bearing a shield and the magic of the Spellblaze itself, these melee-fighting casters can grow demonic seeds from their fallen enemies. Imbue these seeds onto your items to gain a wide array of new talents and passive benefits, and summon the demons within them to fight on your side! Ever looked at a gigantic demon-cursed minotaur and wished it was on your side for once? Well, now you CAN summon one to pound your foes into paste while you cast devastating spells from afar, or call forth a squad of Fire Imps to pelt your enemies to death while they exhaust themselves on your impenetrable defenses! Demons have persistent health, making them a little more precious than disposable necromancer skeletons or summoner beasts, but can be revived from death nonetheless.
  • Two new zones, with all-new art, foes, and bosses! You've seen the plains of the Fearscape before, now see the lairs and headquarters of the demons themselves!
  • Over 10,000 words of written lore to find! The demons were once an enlightened, peaceful race, hailing from a distant planet known as Mal'Rok; learn what drove them to plot Eyal's eternal torture! Discover monuments to each of the demonic species and noteworthy individuals, showing the place of honor each has among them! Get a glimpse into the culture and daily lives of these sadistic invaders and their brainwashed thralls!
  • Unlock a new race, Doomelves: Shalore who've taken to the demonic alterations especially well, corrupting their typical abilities into a darker form. Blink away to safety, transform into a shadowy dúathedlen to hide in the shadows or prey on your foes with blasts of darkness, use your new resilience to soak up status effects and critical hits, and assault your enemies' minds to leave them unsteady in combat!
  • Between the aforementioned classes and Doomelves, a whopping 75 new talents!
  • Unlock two new cosmetic options! You know you've always wanted demon-horns.
  • Two new events, appearing anywhere in Eyal!
  • 20 new artifacts, with unique and interesting effects. Collect the Obsidian Treasures to amass more and more power! Slip your hands into the Will of Ul'Gruth and watch your sweeping blows smash down walls! Wear a giant hideous hell-mouth as a fashionable belt!
  • 7 new achievements! Conquer the worst Urh'Rok's forces can throw at you, and hang their metaphorical skulls from your profile page!

    Exponential Leveling 1.4.8

Exponential Leveling is an addon that changes the amount of points (stats, class, ..) and optionally resources (hp/stamina/mana/regen..) you gain upon EACH level up.
It is meant to make Madness difficulty possible without cheating or hacking of any kind. The game isn't really meant to be beaten on Madness-Roguelike in a legit way, which is why trainers/cheats/savescams exist. There have been only a couple of winners that might be real and legit, and they are Adventure class with no video proof.

Being fully configurable, it can also be used to make the game easier as you wish to.

THIS DOES NOT DISABLE IN-GAME AND STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS.

    How to use this addon:

        - Download and install, of course. Check if the addon is ACTIVATED. If you have another addon that superload/overload player.lua, it might conflict.
    - Start a New Game.
    - Under Options > Gameplay, you can enable or disable the addon. This will work from the next levelup. It cannot be used retroactively.
    - You can also change mode of operating (Default is balanced) and optional modes of operation (Also increase resources, life, etc on levelup) or be left as is.

    Operating Modes:
        - Balanced -> Gives extra points in a fair way depending on your difficulty (Nightmare, Insane and Madness)
    - Extra Points -> Gives many more points than vanilla in any difficulty
    - Cheatish -> Gives way more points than you'll ever need
    - Only Life -> Does NOT change how many points you gain on levelup, but provide some extra MAX HP on levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.

Optional Modes (These work alongside Operating Modes):
        - None -> Nothing else than what chosen under Operating Modes
    - All Resources -> Increase stamina, mana, hate, vim, etc (MAX and regen) upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.
    - MAX HP -> Increase only MAX HP and not all resources upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options. Stacks with Only Life if you want to.

POINTS COMPARISON (Example: Cornac Rogue at lv50):
            STATS | TALENTS | GENERIC | CATEGORY | PRODIGIES | MAX HP | STAMINA

    VANILLA | 160 | 70 | 49 | 4 | 2 | 958 | 247
    BALANCED NIGHTMARE | 181 | 127 | 101 | 9 | 5 | 958 | 247
    BALANCED INSANE | 217 | 145 | 119 | 12 | 8 | 958 | 247
    BALANCED MADNESS | 269 | 166 | 140 | 20 | 17 | 958 | 247
    EXTRA POINTS | 212 | 171 | 150 | 14 | 17 | 958 | 247
    CHEATISH | 1140 | 560 | 539 | 102 | 202 | 958 | 247
    ONLY LIFE | 160 | 70 | 49 | 4 | 2 | 1252+ | 247

    + ALL RESOURCES | - | - | - | - | - | 1252+ | 396+

All resources ALSO gives, by a small amount, resources regeneration like: mana, stamina, vim, positive/negative, hate (per kill, not passively generated), psi and reduces equilibrium (by a small amount) every turn even in combat.

    Update v4.0.3
    • Fixed the partial points (0.5 or negative -0) display bug in the character sheet and levelup screen. Overall points are the same as before.
    Update v4.0.2
    • Fixed equilibrium regen bug (now it correctly reduces your equilibrium per turn by a small amount and stacks with other effects)
    Update v4.0
    • Compatible with TOME 1.7.4
    • Options are much easier to understand and more customizable
    • Balanced mode (Default) is now meant to make Madness ACHIEVABLE without cheating; it's still hard as hell.

    Class Talents

    Wild-child / Fervency1.10
    • Effective talent level: 1.1
      Use mode: Passive
Description: You make a spectacle of death, utterly mangling and tearing apart the corpses of your victims, leaving behind an unrecognizable mess.
When you kill a target, every point of damage you cause beyond 14.7% of their maximum life will become "overkill", which will demoralize all nearby enemies.
Demoralization shocks your victims out of focus, reducing the duration of effects they inflict upon you by 1% per point (such that 50 Demoralization would be -50% duration).
Demoralization stacks additively, but diminishes multiplicatively (-10% per turn). However, it does not work on targets immune to fear.
Instant kills are considered as clean, bearable deaths and will not trigger an overkill.
      Demoralization per 100 overkill: 3.2
      Macabre End
    		1/5
    • Effective talent level: 1.1
      Use mode: Passive
Description: Your swings are unrestrained and impatient, each one attempting to hack through one target and reach into the next.
51% of your Overkill will be dealt to a random enemy adjacent to the initial target as Physical damage.
      Burst Slash

      Stamina cost: 80.8
      Range: melee/personal

      Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Instant (0% of a turn)
Description: Aaah... The joy of bloodshed! The thrill of slaughter and carnage!
For 0 turns, you spin and twirl about every time you make a melee attack, hacking and slicing at everything around you, dealing 0 Physical damage. Additionally, this will break all stuns and pins currently affecting you, as well as giving you 100% Stun Immunity.
If you have killed something by the time this effect ends, you will gain 1 physical power and 2.6% combat speed for each foe killed since you started for 5 turns. Otherwise, you will become confused for 2 turns.
Beware, if you become pinned during this effect, it will end prematurely.
The damage scales with your strength and dexterity.

Usage Speed: Standard (100% of a turn)
Description: To deliver a message, you savagely cut an appendage off a target foe, dealing 62% physical weapon damage and causing a terrible wound that bleeds over a few turns for 0% of the damage done.
All damage caused by this attack is considered as Overkill. Also, if this attack kills the target, you'll take another appendage off (just to be sure), doubling the Overkill.
      Total damage w/ 100 damage: 62

    Wild-heart / Stinger1.30
    • Effective talent level: 1.3
      Use mode: Passive
Description: Allows you to prepare a stinger, inflicting a special kind of painful, torturous agony on those struck, granting you a 7.3% chance to perform a "sting" after melee attacks.
Stings are blighted, weaponless melee attacks that add a potent, life-threatening disease that deals 57 blight damage over 10 turns.
Each talent level, you will gain a new type of sting and increase the potency of the disease it causes:
Level 1 ~ Pernicious (blocks some healing)
Level 2 ~ Atrophic (stronger at lower life)
      Level 3 ~ Infectious (powerful w/ bleeds)
Level 4 ~ Writhing (counters cures)
Level 5 ~ Pestilent (powerful, weak vs cures)
The chance of stinging increases with dexterity and physical critical chance, while the potency of the sting improves with constitution and accuracy.
      Deadly Sting

    • Effective talent level: 0.0
      Use mode: Sustained
      Sustain stamina cost: 20
      Range: melee/personal
      Cooldown: 9
      Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Standard (100% of a turn)
Description: You rise up onto your hind legs, standing in a bent-back stance, now only attacking with your stinger.
Because this stance focuses solely on injecting your victim, your accuracy increases by 0 but your defense reduces by 42 and your movement speed by 56%.
Beware that attacking without a stinger deployed will be extremely ineffective.
      Predator Stance
    		0/5

      Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Standard (100% of a turn)
Description: You pounce upon a victim up to 0 tiles away, attempting to inject them while they're immobilized.
If you land successfully, you will perform a sting with 0% more potency, as this sting will be a clean hit.
If Predator Stance is active, it will deactivate and the sting will become 0% deadlier.
      Diving Bomb
    		0/5
    • Effective talent level: 0.0

      Cooldown: 71
      Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Standard (100% of a turn)
Description: Using the heat and pressure of your body, you fire the stinger on your stinging partition, performing a powerful ranged stinging attack with 0% more potency.
This shot will rip through everything that isn't the primary target, instantly applying 30% of the disease's power as physical damage.
It will take a while for you to produce another stinger, preventing you from preparing stings while this talent is on cooldown.

In an attempt to solve the mystery of your being, The Summoner has commanded you to explore some nearby places.
    - You are to visit Trollmire and see if there are any trolls there. (Why would it be called Trollmire if there were not?)
    - You are to visit Kor'pul and investigate the spectral activity within.

    Reflections: Born Killer active
Various alchemists around Maj'Eyal are competing to gain entry into the great Brotherhood of Alchemists, and one or more have enlisted your aid.
Stire of Derth needs your help making an elixir of the fox, which can be used to permanently increase your dexterity and cunning by three. He has given you some notes on the ingredients:
     * 'Needed: one giant spider spinneret. The spiders in your barn won't do. You'll know a giant spider when you see one, though they're rare in Maj'Eyal.'
     * You've found the needed length of troll intestine.
     * 'Needed: one snow giant kidney. I suggest not killing the snow giant by impaling it through the kidneys. You'll just have to find another.'

    Transmogrification Chest
    Powered by unknown forces
    2.00 Encumbrance.

    [Plot Item]
    Type: chest / sher'tul

    When carried:
It can be used to transmogrify all the items in your chest at once (also done automatically when you change level), costing 0 power out of 1000/1000.

This chest is an extension of old Sher'tul places of power. Any items dropped inside are transported to an other place, processed and destroyed to extract energy.
The byproduct of this effect is the creation of gold, which is useless to process, so it is sent back to you.

When you possess the chest all items you walk upon will automatically be put inside and transmogrified when you leave the level.
Simply go to your inventory to move them out of the chest if you wish to keep them.
Items in the chest will not encumber you.
