Original Improved Combat Text mod by Codefly

This addon replaces ToME's floating combat text:
- Shows the damage type (lightning, etc.) as icons or text!
- Text moves in a consistent direction and should be much easier to read than ToME's default for a variety of reasons.
- Can group damage for an entire player turn, or by every action taken - choose how much information you want to see!
- Various font sizes to choose from
- Various font coloring options (color by major damage type, use the default red / green, etc.)
- Text duration can be changed to fit your play style.

Installation:
For Steam users: subscribe to this mod
From site: Download the '%mod_name%.teaa' file and copy them to Game Addon directory: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\TalesMajEyal\game\addons

Aadd-on that expands on the available Egos and Semi-Random Artifacts available. Introduces all sorts of new Effects and Talents used with both! For example:

Spellslinger - A Passive that increases Spellpower per visible enemy in a range of 2 - Rolls on Hats

Nether Resonance - A Passive found on the Semi-Random Artifact 'Netheric Diadem' that increases Light resist by half of Magic stat and Nature resist by half of Willpower stat.

Combust - Found on 'Pyrophage' items, if you hit a burning enemy, cause an aoe of fire damage and gain a temporary life-regen buff.

Mystical Recovery - Found on shields, when blocking, 20% chance to lower the cooldown of a random spell-type talent based on item level.

All That Glitters - Activated talent found on Rings, gives you a temporary buff to Spellpower based on how much money you have.

This is only a small sampling of new additions among the 10 semi-random Artifacts and 100+ Egos. There are still many more of both to come and I will be posting a full breakdown of all the new components soon. At this time, many of the added Egos are Greater, so they will only appear on blue or purple items. Designed to be compatible with other addons, please report any possible collision issues.

Pops up a notification when you collect all the ingredients for an elixir in the Brotherhood of Alchemists quest.

Adds some additional entries to the inventory's use-item dialog to more conveniently apply some talents to items in inventory.  Current added entries are:

• "Extract gem", to apply Extract Gems to a metal weapon or armor
• "Convert to alchemist gems", to apply Create Alchemist Gems to a gem
• "Extract energy from gem", to apply Matter is Energy to a gem.
• "Grasp telekinetically", to apply Telekinetic Grasp to a weapon or gem

Adds Draconians as playable race. This version of the addon is tweaked to allow Defiler classes. Attempting to fix for 1.7 by removing the dracolich function, as I'm not well enough versed in coding to make it compatible.

Increase the enforced maximum character name length from 25 to 50 characters.

Add a display of estimated threats in monster's tooltip.

Modifies the life bar to show useful information when the player is below zero life.

Adds an action to the right-click map menu to examine a stack of objects on the floor.

Allows you to add notes to objects in your inventory or equipment which will be displayed in the object's description tooltip. Notes can be manipulated by selecting the "Add note", "Edit note" or "Remove note" entry in the object's use-item dialog.

Differences between item notes and the game's built-in tagging functionality:

• Item notes can be longer than tags (up to 999 characters), and can be edited in-place.
• Items with notes can be dropped and transmogrified normally.

Items with notes will be shown in inventory lists with a purple '!' prefix.

Adds a new game menu option "Show known Landmarks", which presents a list of landmarks (up/down stairs, golden chests, zone entrances and the like) that you've seen on the current level and allows you to go to them or view them on the map.  You can also set your own landmarks for later reference by right-clicking on the map and choosing "Set landmark".

Improves the "Press <control> to compare" functionality for objects.  New features:

• When pressing <control>, a note at the top of the text will tell you which object in your equipment is being compared against the current item.
• While holding <control>, tapping <shift> will cycle through the objects in your equipment that the current item can be compared to.  Useful when wearing two rings, dual-wielding, or using the second weapon set.

Adds a new game option "Auto-transmo gems", which will place gemsof the specified tier or lower into the transmogrification chest when initially picked up, as with other items. The option is ignored if you have any talents that consume gems, as a convenience to Alchemists.

This is a fork of Player AIoo which is a fork of PlayerGAI by Glavius which is a fork of PlayerAI by Charidan.
Adds a keybind to activate the new player AI. Set to Alt+F1 by default.

Right click on your Character and choose "Define Player-AIoo" at the bottom to tell the AI how often it use which talent (like with a clone/ golem)

This addon let the player use the AI coded for NPC, so your character can fight, rest, auto-explore on his own.
It will clear an entire floor or stop when it has low health.

Be warned, it can put your character in a sure death situation.

Note for Developers: This addon superwrites Player:act(), so if your addon also touches Player:act() change the load order so that the Player AI addon loads last.

Known Bugs:
A few talents will never be used by the AI, due to targeting problem (eg: disengage). Setting their weight to 0 in Define Player-AIoo should solve any AI stop because of thoses. The Ai from the game is not allowed to use specific talent (eg: suncloak). To use them still during an AI run, put them on autocast.

Adds game options "UI | Hotkey handling on unwield" and "UI | Remove hotkey on drop" to control the handling of hotkeys for activateable objects when you unwield or drop them. You can choose to remove the hotkey or add a special marker to its icon to warn that the associated object is not currently wielded.

This addon provides a compact, non-intrusive display of detailed combat information.

The display is intentionally lightweight and lives in the log area so it complements existing UI and other addons while giving a clearer, turn-by-turn narrative of what happened during combat.

1. GOLD#Options#LAST# - everything below is tunable from a "Modern Immersion" tab in the game's own Options dialog. Changes apply immediately and are remembered between sessions.

1. GOLD#Bloom#LAST# - a full-screen bloom pass so fire, magic, lava and glowing artifacts actually radiate light. Built as a real three-octave pyramid - bright pass, downsample, separable blur at each scale - in the addon's own framebuffers, which is both smoother and cheaper than gathering it in one pass over the whole screen. Replaces the main framebuffer shader; all original screen effects (low HP, drowning, solipsism, and the colorize/intensify tints) are preserved.

1. GOLD#Dynamic lighting#LAST# - your torch, anything else carrying a light, emissive terrain like lava, and every spell in the game now light the actual tiles, per pixel, instead of tinting the whole screen. A fireball lights the corridor as it flies, an explosion flashes the walls, a lightning bolt strobes them - and because the element is read from the effect itself rather than from the talent, it covers damage-over-time clouds, traps, and anything DLC or other addons add using the game's own effects. It runs as the map's default shader, so it reaches every tile, actor and object at once. The light modulates the artwork rather than being painted over it, so the shadows and highlights the tiles are drawn with survive - by default nothing is ever darker than the stock game, and lighting only ever adds. There is a knob for making the dark actually dark if you want it.

1. GOLD#Colour grading#LAST# - a second post-processing pass: film-style grading, halo-free edge sharpening, a soft vignette, subtle lens colour fringing toward the corners and fine animated grain. This is what makes the picture read as a modern render rather than a flat tile grid. The grain and the fringing scale themselves to your resolution, so they stay a lens effect instead of eating fine detail on a high-DPI screen.

1. GOLD#UI skin#LAST# - a flat, dark, modern interface skin, selectable as "Modern Immersion" under Interface Style in the game's own options. Dialog frames, buttons, list selectors, headings, textboxes and tooltips, with a gold accent on whatever is selected or focused. Everything it does not replace falls back to the stock Dark theme, so the two sit together deliberately. Takes effect on restart, like the stock interface options. The UI click sound is replaced too.

1. GOLD#Talent and spell audio#LAST# - casting makes a sound. The base game is silent here: eleven of its 1372 talents carry one. Twelve schools - fire, ice, lightning, earth, arcane, darkness, light, blight, nature, mind, temporal, physical - picked from the talent's own tree. Other creatures' casts are placed at their tile, so a caster winding up across the room is something you hear rather than something you read in the log.

1. GOLD#Footsteps#LAST# - surface-aware footstep audio. The sound is picked from the terrain you are standing on (grass, dirt, stone, wood, water, sand, snow, lava, slime), and volume and pitch scale with how fast you are moving.

1. GOLD#Item pickup#LAST# - picking something up off the floor makes a short, soft tick. The base game gives one of the most frequent actions in it a log line and no sound at all. Only your own pickups, and a pile of loot taken in one turn collapses into a single tick rather than a burst.

1. GOLD#Ambience#LAST# - the game's own nature/town beds (birds, wind, crickets) rebalanced up toward the other effects and pulled closer to the listener, so they're clearly audible instead of near-silent.

1. GOLD#Music crossfade#LAST# - music fades between tracks when it changes, instead of being cut off mid-phrase and snapped over. Layers a new zone shares with the old one keep playing untouched.

1. GOLD#Spell visuals#LAST# - travelling projectiles fly slower so you can follow the magic, and common impact/cast effects linger longer. Note: the slower projectile speed is the one part that lightly touches gameplay (it runs on the energy system); set proj_scale = 1 in hooks/features/config.lua to disable it while keeping everything else.

GOLD#Walk there, then do the thing#LAST# - right-clicking a staircase or exit gets a combined "Move to and change level" option, and a tile with an item on it gets "Move here and pick up item", both at the top of the context menu. Stock offers a bare "Move to" and hides its own "Change level" and "Pickup item" unless you are already standing on the tile, so today both mean walking there and then pressing a second key.

1. GOLD#Key bindings#LAST# - "talk on channel" moves from Spacebar to "/", and Spacebar becomes a second way to pick up whatever you're standing on (the stock "g" key still works too). A default, not a forced change - your own keybind customisations are never overwritten, and the game's own Keybindings dialog is still the one place to change or revert it.

GOLD#Mouse gestures#LAST# - right-click on the map is dual purpose in the stock game: a clean click opens the use menu, but a few pixels of drift during the click - completely ordinary for a mouse or trackpad - gets misread as an attempted gesture instead: a coloured trail flashes and the click silently does nothing. The stock game ships with no gestures bound, so for most players that misfire is the only thing the system ever does - it now stays fully asleep until you actually bind a gesture in the Keybindings dialog, at which point it works exactly as stock, and swipes also need to be more deliberate before they count as one.

1. GOLD#Zone ambience#LAST# - a continuous drift of mood-appropriate specks over the visible area: dust in caves, embers over lava, snow on frozen ground, fog in crypts, spores in swamps. The mood is picked from the zone, falling back to the level's own terrain so it covers DLC and other addons' zones too. Runs through the game's own weather system, and respects the game's "weather effects" option.

1. GOLD#Combat feedback#LAST# - hits, crits and kills get a screen shake, a brief screen flash and an impact stinger, with damage you take reading heavier and redder than damage you deal. Crits and kills set off an expanding ring that warps the screen behind it - the game's own distortion effect, centred on the tile the blow landed on - and anything that dies leaves a dark mark on the floor that fades over a few seconds. Combat sounds are positioned in 3D, so a hit to your left is heard on your left and a distant fight is quieter than one in your face; levelling up gets its own flash and fanfare. A low-HP heartbeat starts once your health crosses the same threshold that reddens the screen. All generated audio, all tunable/disableable in hooks/features/config.lua's JUICE table.

1. GOLD#Waking up refreshed#LAST# - finishing a full rest is met with a soft warm glow, a quiet chime and a gentle drift of rising light motes - a subtle "you're rested" moment. Only fires on an uninterrupted, fully-rested finish, never when rest is broken by an enemy or damage. Part of the JUICE table (wake_enable).

Some improvements to key handling in the inventory dialog and related dialogs used by the 'd'rop command and various item-using talents:

• Items in the inventory list can now be selected by typing their letter in the listing.¹
• Restore the use of left and right arrow keys in the inventory dialog to move between the equipment and inventory subsections.
• Restore "circular" inventory list functionality; moving off the top or bottom of the list with arrow keys will wrap around to the other end.
• (as of v1d) Where available, item actions in the use-item dialog now have 'mnemonic' keys that can be typed to select and trigger the action.  These can be changed as desired via the "[ZOmnibus] | Use-item dialog shortcuts" game option.

¹ Disclaimer:  This functionality is actually already present in the main module, if the right subsection of the dialog is focused; we merely arrange for said subsection to have focus when the dialog is initially created and displayed, so that letter selection works without further user action.

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Modifies the key bindings of certain chat dialogs so that characters bound to movement actions are not associated to chat options, to avoid accidentally selecting one of the chat options if the dialog pops up unexpectedly. This is primarily useful for players that use the traditional "roguelike" keybindings (hence the addon name), some of whose movement keys coincidentally (and annoyingly) correspond to the "exit" option of certain chats.

By default, the following chat dialogs are currently modified by this addon:

Adds a new game option "Short-circuit some early dungeons" to enable or disable the new b43 behavior of skipping the player directly to the bottom of tier-1 dungeons if you're strong enough. The option will appear under Game Options in the <Esc> menu.

An experimental addon that modifies the rendering of various lasting spell/talent effects so that they are displayed below the player and NPCs, in an attempt to prevent multiple overlapping effects from effectively obscuring actors in their area of effect. Also can optionally "flatten" display of overlapping effects by displaying only one effect animation in the overlapping area (hopefully also reducing slowdown on older computers).

Functionality is controlled by game options "UI | Display effects under actors" and "UI | "Flatten" overlapping effects".

Mark sustained talents for easy reactivation after being disrupted by an enemy attack. From the Restart Sustains dialog (bound to <alt-shift-s> by default), you can select sustains to be restarted, arranging them in tree order as needed to ensure that certain sustains are activated before others. In addition, if any of these selected sustains is forcibly deactivated by an attacker, you will be notified with a log message and a noticeable particle effect.

Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
• The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!

Combat Turn Separators (non-intrusive)

This addon provides a compact, non-intrusive display of combat turn information in the game log. It helps you follow fights by showing turn counts and recent turn activity.

The display is intentionally lightweight and lives in the log area so it complements existing UI and other addons.

Notes

• Combat turns refer to player turns, i.e., each time the player gets to act.
• Combat state is determined by the player’s internal in_combat status which lasts a few additional turns after the last enemy is defeated.
• This addon removes blank lines from the log.

Removes the 'plot-item' flag from certain items after their plot function has been served, allowing you to drop them. Currently affected items:

• Cap of the Undisturbed Mind from the Embers of Rage DLC, after freeing all the internment camps.

Various enhancements to escort quest NPCs:
- Escorts now follow the player when not close to the portal.
- Escorts occasionally say useful things.
- Escorts heal 5% of their maximum health per turn.

This addon makes items description easier to read and determine on a glance it's usefulness
- sorts all stats by category - DPS/DEF/MISC
- item's passive power always the same blue color (not a random blue-yellow-pink-green)
- item's usable power - always yellow
- all rarity categories are displayed
- encumbrance value moved to the right under item name
- "on hit" powers always green
- "Stats" have an ornage highlight and placed before others because it's most important one
- Removed many extra-explain details, which any veteran player would not want to read each time
for example, stat "S.pwr/crit" shorten from "Spellpower on spell critical (stacks up to 3 times)"
means you do remember that it can stack only 3 times, and is not so super important anyway

Most important thing to remember
- Requirements only shown for those you don't meet. If you want to see all reqs - hold CTRL
- "Phasing" stat means - "Damage Shield penetration", the name was taken from the source and looks good to me, and short enough
- The "-" minus sign at the end of stat mean immunity or reduction of some sort, for example "Blind-" = "Blindness immunity",
- "Max.summ" = Max wilder summons
- "Summ.HP.reg" = Life regen bonus (wilder-summons)
- "Def/telep" = Defense after a teleport
- "Res/telep" = Resist all after a teleport
- "Dur/telep" = New effects duration reduction after a teleport

it's not recommended to use this mod if you'r new to the game

Allows you to choose which item to replace when wielding/wearing equipment if there are multiple possibilities.

Pops up a warning dialog if your life falls below a configurable percent of your maximum life. The warning threshold can be configured via the "Low-health warning popup threshold" setting in the UI tab of the Game Options dialog.
