Audiomancy is an audio enhancement for ToME that does not affect music. It started with the High Quality Sounds mod (thanks to Gurkoz), but it does a bit more than replace sounds. It enhances the code introducing random variance, layering, and new trigger points. Weapon types (sword, great axe, mace, sling, bows, etc.) have distinct sounds in combat, along with NPC types having different impact sounds. Many weapons have distinct critical hit sounds as well. Ranged weapons have separated attack and hit sounds. Melee and ranged talents you would have expected to produce sound before likely will with this mod. Multiple hits trigger multiple sounds, e.g. the Volley talent. There is still more to do, especially in terms of providing distinct sound effects for various game mechanics and talents, but the code as-is will affect almost every sound played in the game while adding more. I attempted to maximize compatibility, replacing a single function and using superloading and hooking for the rest. Our ultimate goal on the mainland is to get rid of the Sunwall once and for all. A Ritch PartyTo do that we will prepare a special surprise to help our final attack. Go to the Ritch Hive in the mountains north of the Erúan desert and collect a big pile of ritch eggs. About 30 viable eggs should be sufficient. When you have enough, find a tunnel leading north and use the special sand shredder gloves tinker to open a path under the Gates of Morning. Finally, place the eggs in a protected spot to hatch.
