Safe Step Instead of Running
Replaces the eight directional Run commands with a single normal step, checked before every movement. If ToME's native threat detector finds a visible hostile or an incoming threatening projectile, the command is blocked without moving or spending energy.
Works with your existing Run key bindings, including Shift + direction keys. Ordinary movement, attacks, auto-explore, rest, and the targeting/examine cursor keep their normal behavior.
Uses ToME's native threat detection. It does not protect against traps, hazardous terrain, hidden enemies, damage over time, or threats detected only through telepathy. Allowed steps use the game's normal movement rules and status effects.
For ToME 1.7.6.
Slow-Motion Running
Adds an optional user-customizable delay between steps when the player is running, including auto-explore and movement by mouse, to make running less visually disorienting. Delay is specified in milliseconds by the game option "Gameplay | Slow-motion running", and can be set from 0 to 1000.
