Exponential Leveling 1.4.8

Exponential Leveling is an addon that changes the amount of points (stats, class, ..) and optionally resources (hp/stamina/mana/regen..) you gain upon EACH level up.
It is meant to make Madness difficulty possible without cheating or hacking of any kind. The game isn't really meant to be beaten on Madness-Roguelike in a legit way, which is why trainers/cheats/savescams exist. There have been only a couple of winners that might be real and legit, and they are Adventure class with no video proof.

Being fully configurable, it can also be used to make the game easier as you wish to.

THIS DOES NOT DISABLE IN-GAME AND STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS.

How to use this addon:

    - Download and install, of course. Check if the addon is ACTIVATED. If you have another addon that superload/overload player.lua, it might conflict.
    - Start a New Game.
    - Under Options > Gameplay, you can enable or disable the addon. This will work from the next levelup. It cannot be used retroactively.
    - You can also change mode of operating (Default is balanced) and optional modes of operation (Also increase resources, life, etc on levelup) or be left as is.

Operating Modes:
    - Balanced -> Gives extra points in a fair way depending on your difficulty (Nightmare, Insane and Madness)
    - Extra Points -> Gives many more points than vanilla in any difficulty
    - Cheatish -> Gives way more points than you'll ever need
    - Only Life -> Does NOT change how many points you gain on levelup, but provide some extra MAX HP on levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.

Optional Modes (These work alongside Operating Modes):
    - None -> Nothing else than what chosen under Operating Modes
    - All Resources -> Increase stamina, mana, hate, vim, etc (MAX and regen) upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.
    - MAX HP -> Increase only MAX HP and not all resources upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options. Stacks with Only Life if you want to.

All resources ALSO gives, by a small amount, resources regeneration like: mana, stamina, vim, positive/negative, hate (per kill, not passively generated), psi and reduces equilibrium (by a small amount) every turn even in combat.

This addon grew out of an attempt to rework the Arcane Blade base class from the TOME module way back in beta. Previous versions can be found under the "Arcane Blade Rework" addon. I got sufficient positive feedback, and it was a sufficient departure from the original class, that it was decided to split it off to its own class, while letting the Arcane Blade be updated by others.

The class revolves around melee spells, utilizing a mixture of stamina and mana require skills. Probably the most unique feature are the elemental stances, only which one of is active at a time, and which are activated by using the basic elemental strikes.

Prowler Class 1.4.8

Adds the Prowler subclass, a hybrid Wilder that uses stealth and mobility to take down their foes. Uses a combination of standard Rogue and Wilder talents, four new Wild-Gift trees and two new Technique trees. Prowlers are wild-rogues that focus on agile melee combat with psiblades or daggers and use their strong will to augment their abilities and call nature to their bidding.

First is the Moon Paladin, who fight using two weapons and the two moons.
Second is the Starslinger, who imbues their shots with the power of the stars.

Now with a new starting zone: Save the Sunwall crops from a worm infestation.
New second starting zone: The Tenebrous Glades.
Travel to the barely made training camp of Midnight via a jumpgate on the west side of the Gates of Morning, then head southwest.
The shadows summoned to conceal the camp have become restless and dangerous. Quiet them down and investigate what is working them up.

Currently there are nine new categories.
Celestial/Night: A utility based generic category that generates negative celestial energies.
Celestial/Lunar Combat: Powerful offensive talents invoking the power of the moons.
Celestial/Guidance: Some defensive and one offensive talents for Moon Paladin.
Celestial/Shooting Stars: Combines star magic with ranged weapons.
Celestial/Deep Space: Some high level celestial magic for Starslinger.
Celestial/Sigils: Shape negative celestial energies into traps.
Celestial/Glory: High level light magic for Sun Paladins and Anorithil.
Celestial/Moon Magic: Magic derived from the two moons of Eyal.
Celestial/Umbra: High level dark magic for Anorithil and Star Slingers.

It also grants Sun and Glyphs to Sun Paladin at 1.3 mastery.
Reworks Chants and Hymns, and buffs Sunburst.

Phoenix Knight: Powerful warriors who blast their foes with solar fire while calling healing light upon their allies. Their solar fire attacks will strike as either fire or light damage, whichever will hit their target the hardest, and their potent healing and cleansing abilities make them tough opponents to bring down.

Mind Knight: Psionic warriors who strengthen their mental abilities by tapping into their inner magic. Adept at telekinesis, telepathy, and teleportation, they are mobile scouts who can quickly get a lay of the land and sow chaos among their foes with physical and mental debilitations, or even outright compulsions.

Storm Knight: Swift skirmishers who rely on extreme mobility and powerful lightning magic to strike their foes down and avoid reprisals. Extremely fast and difficult to pin down, they can cast entire enemy units into disarray with their wealth of area attacks. All mage knights can cast while they fight, but experienced storm knights are also able to fight while they move.

Earth Knight: The heaviest of infantry, earth knights hammer their foes with physical and natural forces while shielding themselves with the power of the earth. Highly resilient in the face of any attack, earth knights provide a slow and steady offense supported by powerful gemstone shields and the endurance of a living mountain.

Sea Knight: Healers first, fighters second, battle mages a somewhat distant third, while sea knights lack the raw offensive power of other mage knights, they make up for it with amazing personal defense and recovery abilities. And though their attacks may be individually weak, like the sea itself, they are able to wear down even the strongest defenses eventually, eroding their opponents away with gradually strengthening spells, making them terrors in a battle of attrition.

Mana Knight: Experimenting pioneers who do amazing things with raw magical energy. They have the most conventional magical training of the mage knights, even if they sometimes put it to unconventional use. Their arcane attacks can overwhelm the powers of other spellcasters, and while they lack the scope of power of full-fledged archmages, they are masters of the fundamentals of the various arcane schools.

      How to enable/disable or configure this addon:

      • Download, install and activate it. Start a New Game.
      • You can enable/disable or change mode, set the amount of flat experience or multiplier to apply to each future kill from the "Gameplay" settings in-game.

       

      Modes functionality:

      • VANILLA -> Doesn't change anything compared to original game.
      • BALANCED (default) -> Gives on general more experience to the player on higher difficulties than original game, depending also on the rank and level of the defeated enemy.
      • VERY FAST -> Gives 250% flat experience compared to original TOME.
      • FLAT -> Each kill gives X experience points, regardless of what you kill or what level you/they are. How much per kill can be configured in the Gameplay settings.

        For each raw talent level you gain a new type of gemstone shield. You may sustain any or all of them; each time you cast a shield, the gemstone applied will be randomly determined from among those sustained (or all of them if none are sustained). Each shield has a primary effect while the shield lasts and a secondary effect that triggers if the shield is broken by damage.

        At raw talent level one, you gain access to the crystal shield, which improves its value by 19%, and when it breaks it discharges outward violently, potentially stunning all adjacent enemies for 1 turns. You also gain access to the sapphire shield, which rejuvenates 5% of its value each turn, and when it breaks reduces your Gemstone Shield cooldown by 2.

        At raw talent level two, you gain access to the ruby shield, which backlashes for 9 fire damage every time it loses value, and explodes when it breaks to deal 41 fire damage in a radius of 1. You also gain access to the amethyst shield, which provides 13% evasion and 9 defense while it lasts, and when it breaks, it attempts to teleport the attacker who broke it between 2 and 7 tiles away.

        At raw talent level three, this spell no longer takes time to cast.

        At raw talent level four, you gain access to the emerald shield, which reduces any damage the shield blocks by 9, and grants 13% resist all for one turn when it breaks. You also gain access to the pearl shield, which outright ignores instances of damage below 21, and fully negates the attack that breaks it.

        At raw talent level five, you gain access to the opal shield, which converts 25% of damage absorbed into healing, and on breaking boosts your current and maximum life by 82 for 2 turns. You also gain access to the diamond shield, which reflects 25% of the damage it absorbs, and when broken, reciprocates any damage that gets through onto the attacker.

        The shielding will increase with your Spellpower.

        This spell can be triggered by Eldritch Combat.

        You may only activate this talent when enemies are in sight, unless you are blind (in which case it's assumed enemies are around even if you can't see them).

        This talent can be triggered by Eldritch Combat. When it is, it does not drain a turn of energy.

        Once you learn this talent, any time you pass a turn while enemies are in sight, you will activate this talent (you'll only spend the turn once).

        You may activate this talent to charge your active shields with your magic, boosting the power of up to 1 shields by 0%.

        These values increase with Constitution.

        Description: You channel magical energy through your weapons while this talent is sustained, adding 13 damage to all attacks of the energy type appropriate to your mage knight offensive spells. This number varies based on fighting style used (note that it already includes any modifiers for your current weapon!) and scales with Spellpower.

        In addition, each attack grants a 20% chance (based on your current weapon) to trigger one of various Mage Knight talents instead of dealing the bonus Arcane damage. This quarters the cooldown of the talent, and can only happen once per turn. Talents triggered in this way do not cost Stamina; other resource costs still apply. Triggered spells are determined randomly, but with prioritization based on how useful they are in the moment (spells that restore life are more likely to trigger when low on life, spells that provide buffs are more likely to trigger when you aren't heavily buffed, etc). Spells of higher talent level are generally prioritized over those of lower level.

        If you are wielding a two-handed weapon, passive damage is doubled, and triggered talents have their power increased by 50%.

        If you are using a shield, passive damage is increased by 50%. Trigger chance is increased by 20% and passive damage further doubled against foes with the Counterstrike effect. A triggered talent is also followed up with a shield bash. Defensive talents have priority increased while wielding a shield, and Block can be triggered by Eldritch Combat.

        If you are using two weapons, they may both be one-handed weapons. Each weapon deals passive damage and has a chance to trigger a talent (though you still only get one trigger per turn).

        If you are using a single one-handed weapon (or unarmed), passive damage is increased by 50%, the base chance of triggering a talent increases by 15%, and if a talent triggers, it might take effect twice (using half the original trigger chance). The second trigger won't cost any further resources.

        Staves are designed for more normal spellcasting styles, so mage knights require more effort to channel their powers through them. Resultantly, the chance to trigger a spell while wielding a staff is halved, and staves don't get the triggered spell power bonus for normal two-handed weapons (they retain the passive damage bonus). Of course, staves remain extremely good conductors of magic - normal staff accuracy bonus applies, so once a talent does trigger it will probably deal a lot of damage.

Your ability to augment your melee skills with magic works regardless of the weapon you wield; you get a 0% bonus damage with all melee weapons, including unarmed strikes. This doesn't stack with other mastery talents, and unlike most mastery talents does not include a physical power bonus (although see the Eldritch Aura talent).
