Adds the Nekomancer class. Nekomancers are summon-based mages that focus on debilitating their enemies while reinforcing their allies. They primarily deal physical and light damage. Uniquely, they do not use mana like other mage subclasses, relying souly on the soul resource. They use the soul resource in a much different way then Necromancer does, since they naturally regain one soul a turn. Combined with a relatively low soul maximum, they run completely counter to the standard ToME resources with tiny regeneration rates and huge maximums. Aside from the usual unlocked Combat Training and Survival, Nekomancer uses completely unique trees. It has 4 unlocked class trees, one locked class tree and two generic trees.

= Band of Protection =
Getting a Damage Shield or Psionic Damage Shield effect while Band of Protection's Steam Shield effect is active causes game-breaking errors. This addon fixes this and makes Steam Shield behave like the other two damage shield effects (gets overwritten by new damage shields).

= Quake hitting multiple times =
Quake performs knockback during projection, which can cause the same actor to be hit multiple times, depending on the order that squares are iterated over. This addon fixes Quake so that it can only hit each actor once.

= Proc bonuses/penalties with nested attacks =
Weapon attacks that happen during other weapon attacks (such as Flexible Combat and weapons with talents on hit or talents on crit) can result in proc damage bonuses from staves being applied to the wrong weapon's procs, and the proc penalty for ogres applying multiple times to a weapon's procs and failing to apply at all to other procs. This addon fixes this so that the proc bonus from staves/shields only applies to the staff/shield's procs, and so that the ogre proc penalty always applies once.

= Real-time Anomaly Meteors =
Actors can dodge meteors from Anomaly Meteor by moving out of the way within 1/6th of a second, real-time. This addon removes this real-time behaviour, making the game properly turn-based once again.

= Wild Speed, Step Up, etc. resource leak =
An engine bug causes timed effects like Wild Speed and Step Up (ones that stop when you use a talent or attack) to constantly increase the size of a table on the actor using them. On characters that use these talents heavily, this can bloat savegames. This addon fixes this bug.

= Snapshotting for many talents =
Many sustains and passives do not update their values after being activated, allowing you to "snapshot" values with high power and then continue to use those high values even after changing to e.g. equipment that gives less spellpower or mastery. Drowning gets you good items but walking the whole big towns searching for rares is tedious.
Enter Round'em Up, which lines them nicely for you to see at once.
Changes are made only to towns where drowning is possible.
Good synergy with Marson's Character Recycler which lets you restart by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L instead of suiciding.

It works by overloading the town file with changed npc generation boundaries.

I'm a programming noob (or even less), so go easy on me. There should be no errors though, only changes are 4 number values for each town.

PS. I can't help but feel there was a better way of doing this. Sorry this addon is so heavy.

Phoenix Knight: Powerful warriors who blast their foes with solar fire while calling healing light upon their allies. Their solar fire attacks will strike as either fire or light damage, whichever will hit their target the hardest, and their potent healing and cleansing abilities make them tough opponents to bring down.

Mind Knight: Psionic warriors who strengthen their mental abilities by tapping into their inner magic. Adept at telekinesis, telepathy, and teleportation, they are mobile scouts who can quickly get a lay of the land and sow chaos among their foes with physical and mental debilitations, or even outright compulsions.

Storm Knight: Swift skirmishers who rely on extreme mobility and powerful lightning magic to strike their foes down and avoid reprisals. Extremely fast and difficult to pin down, they can cast entire enemy units into disarray with their wealth of area attacks. All mage knights can cast while they fight, but experienced storm knights are also able to fight while they move.

Earth Knight: The heaviest of infantry, earth knights hammer their foes with physical and natural forces while shielding themselves with the power of the earth. Highly resilient in the face of any attack, earth knights provide a slow and steady offense supported by powerful gemstone shields and the endurance of a living mountain.

Sea Knight: Healers first, fighters second, battle mages a somewhat distant third, while sea knights lack the raw offensive power of other mage knights, they make up for it with amazing personal defense and recovery abilities. And though their attacks may be individually weak, like the sea itself, they are able to wear down even the strongest defenses eventually, eroding their opponents away with gradually strengthening spells, making them terrors in a battle of attrition.

Mana Knight: Experimenting pioneers who do amazing things with raw magical energy. They have the most conventional magical training of the mage knights, even if they sometimes put it to unconventional use. Their arcane attacks can overwhelm the powers of other spellcasters, and while they lack the scope of power of full-fledged archmages, they are masters of the fundamentals of the various arcane schools.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)
Note: Unfortunately the only time that addons can get the possible escort types is after the random escort quest is assigned.
This means escorts added by other addons will not be available for selection, but will still be possible to find using the random selection.

New characters in Maj'Eyal start out with the Rod of Asphyxiation, an item made to quickly drown npcs.

Modifies the character creation dialog to bypass the lock check for races and classes, allowing characters to be created using locked races and classes. Doesn't actually unlock anything.

Basic bot designed to automate some of the tedium of starting a new character.
This bot will rest, explore, and use a very basic algorithm for engaging in combat.
You will need to configure the bot's talent usage from within the game (Shift + F2 -> Option a)

• Combat abilities will be used in DESCENDING priority order
• Sustain talents will be kept active at all times
• Damage prevention talents are used when "large" damage spikes are detected to the player.
• Recovery talents are used when the player is missing 25% life or more. (Threshold configurable from menu under [Skoobot] tab)

Hotkey defaults are as follows and can be configured in the options screen:

• Alt + F1 - Toggle bot
• Shift + F1 - Disable bot (I recommend holding this when the bot is active as its difficult to press it at a time when the bot will listen)
• Alt + F2 - Single Step bot - This has the bot perform a single action without fully engaging autopilot. Useful when you want to supervise the bot's behavior. Currently a bit buggy and may not run more than 25 times in a row.
• Shift + F2 - SkooBot Menu - Currently the only option is to configure talent usage as well as configure which stop conditions are active
• Alt + F3 - Query bot - This prompts the bot to declare the next action it would take, but should not perform any action.

This will probably not even get close to beating the game for you, and will frequently run into situations that it will not be able to act in.

• Companion addons and an integration with this bot to auto-spend levelup points and optimize equipment so you don't have to

• Make activatable items a valid choice for combat rotation. Currently items on the hotbar are ignored.
• UI to enable or disable any of the various features I've added so you can customize the way the bot performs.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
• The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
• The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.
  Maybe you will even find The One That Writes...
• Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?
• The Entropic Void: So you think you are strong? Powerful? Invulnerable? In the end, entropy always wins, as you will learn...
