Fixed ;)
Obviously it's the one labeled 'Windows'.
After the other one labeled 'Windows'.
Where's the OSX build???? can't find it! 8___(
Yes what is seen is seen, it is just a display effect
Hey, that looks pretty nice! How will it work out in gameplay? Everything that's even a little bit lit is fully visible?
How the hell do you accidentaly click the mouse ? :)
i'd rather try to avoid "option-creap" if possible, it's confusing for new(old) players and serves not much purpose because well, 99% of the time peopel do not change the options.
Also, know of any game where you can move with either the mosue or the keyboard that has such an option ? :)
Probably a good idea to make it an on/off feature. Some people might get frustrated if they accidentally (or while not concentrating) hit the right mouse button...
Wow, looks awesome!
Ah yes I keep on forgetting :)
Is there any chance that you might put in a close door command though?
Those open doors are tactically annoying sometimes.
In earlier builds I used it to run a coroutine processing a table of distances from every actor to every actor, but I have since them found a better way.
We'll see if I find a use for it :)
It doesn't seem like processing in the background is hard so much as finding sensible things to process and then making use of that data.
I can certainly imagine some higher order operations on Dijkstra maps, or FOV from every square to every other, starting to reach into the territory where you'd need to work it out ahead of time. But even for those, in practice, the delay is tiny.
Do you have any ideas (or, better, is there an implementation?) for anything that'll make good use of this? There surely must be something grand on its way.
If you want really beautiful lighting, try letting your lights go past 100% and make sure that every pixel has some component of red, green, and blue -- never 0. Clip only after every effect has been applied, and you'll find that it looks a lot more natural.
Thanks !
The more player the happier I am !
... I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I think the new engine and ToME The Fourth Age are great so far.
wow, amazing! i've been waiting for Something To Happen to ToME for the longest time, this announcement is everything i could have hoped for
There'll be, but the keybinding screen is kinda an help file in itself since it lists the available keys and tells you what they are bound to
Really ought to include a help file of some kind. Figuring out the keybinds was a pain. Otherwise, good job!
