The results are in, TE4 2013 Games Creation Contest!

For this first year of the module contest we have 6 winners (because they all succeeded at making a game). However as was announced at the start the 3 top ones will get a reward. The order was determined by a weighted sum of the individual grades, with 'fun' being worth twice more. As such the lucky three are:

  • Qi Daozei from Castler, earning him the 500€ reward and top position!
  • Mosaic from Darren Grey, earning him the 150€ reward and second position!
  • The Veins of the Earth from Zireael, earning her the 50€ reward and third position!

 

Each vote cast by each player is bound to her/his account and required the player to actually have played the game (as tracked by the server) so we can be relatively sure no funky vote-cheating was done.

I, DarkGod, would like to personally congratulate each and every participants. You have created great fun games, for many of you without any prior knowledge. Even if you were not in the lucky three, I want to tell you just a few things: continue, code, create fun and make people know about your games!

Null Tweaks v2 - Weirdling Bug

Bug fix: the Weirdling Beast was hard-coded to use a Healing Infusion, which is removed by this addon. This meant the bottom of Lake Nur could not be explored. I've updated his definition to use an equivalent Reconstruction Rune instead.

New Gems v15 - Frakking Golems

BUG FIX: "New Gems" overrides the default Gem definitions. 1.1.3 updated the base gem definition, so this addon needed to mirror those updates for the Golem's gem sockets to work right.

Unkillable mobs and boss in starting area

I love the Fairie race especially when you play it as a battledancer.
There is just one thing that bothered me: in the starting area there are mobs you just can't kill. I tried with different classes and I keep dealing 0 damage.
One lucky run I was able to reach the last dungeon level and the boss is unkillable as well, so I just left the area. The problem is, tough, that by leaving the area you can't finish the starting quest cause there is no way to return back.

Hope this will be fixed.

Ethereal arrows changed from 0% stamina/300% mana to 50%/50%.
Buffed Ethereal arrows damage on miss from 0-100% to 50-100%.
Ethereal Arrows now reduce cooldown of Charged Techniques by up to 50%.

Magical Throw fixed, upgraded. Speed bonus now based on spell speed, crit bonus based on spellcrit and talent level. Range still based on raw level.

Updated version. Fixes a ridiculously stupid bug. I can't understand how I missed this, or didn't notice myself. We apologize for any inconvenience, and shall whip ourselves most heartily.

This addon allows dwarves to use stone warden talents on the adventurer class.

The stone warden addon MUST BE ENABLED for this to work.

You will also start with an iron shield in inventory.
