Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

An experimental addon that expands tinker-related actions from the use-item dialog and inventory dialog to allow attaching/detaching tinkers on equipment worn by the Alchemist's golem or other permanent party members. In particular:

• From the player inventory dialog, the "Attach to item" action will include suitable equipment worn by your golem in its list of attachment candidates.
• From the Interact with the Golem equipment/inventory dialog, the "Attach to item" action will attach tinkers from the player's inventory to equipment worn by the golem (popping up a list if there are multiple candidates), and the "Detach from item" and "Detach tinker" actions will remove tinkers from the golem's equipment and return them to the player's inventory.
• Drag-and drop in the Interact with the Golem equipment/inventory dialog should also work for attaching and detaching tinkers.
• The "Gameplay | Swap tinkers" option, if enabled, should behave the same way when changing the golem's equipment as when changing the player's equipment.

The addon improves gamefield view during different post effects
For example, it's hard enough to see anything around you while having invisibility and confusion/sleep statuses at the same time

Here is details about what been changed:
- Invisibility status no longer cause whole screen to go blue. The character outline-only effect still applies and it's enough to check your status on a glance
- Invisibility status no longer cause whole screen blur effect.
- Lightning Speed status no longer cause whole screen to go blue. Blur effect still applies though
- Lightning Speed status will no longer apply blur if you have Confused/Sleep statuses (which also make things blurried)
- Unstoppable status now makes whole screen a bit more brighter-red so it's easier to see stuff
- Unstoppable shader now have higher priority over Stealth, so if you activate Unstoppable while being stealthed - you'll see visual change
- Frozen state no longer causes whole screen to become greenish. This effect was caused by no_healing state, but in the frozen state last thing you going to care about is no_healing, and it's not even obvious

Places the Sect of Kryl-Feijan event on the map as a zone entrance rather than an undetectable encounter.

An experimental attempt to improve targeting for certain talents that impose conditions on allowed targets, by arranging that targeting will only select targets with the necessary condition. Supported so far:

• Rockwalk and Rockswallow will only target hostiles pinned by Stone Vine.
• Headshot will only target marked hostiles (unless you have Concealment active).
• Upgrade from the Embers of Rage DLC will only target turrets summoned by the caster.
• Shadow Transposition will only target shadows summoned by the caster.

Auto-levels your character as you ascend High Peak (similarly to the Escape from Reknor Dwarf start zone), up to level 50 at the top of High Peak.

Quality of Life improvements for resting and auto-exploring.

This is a fork (with permission) of Marson's auto-explore and rest tweaks. It includes as well C.Lowe/CaptainTrip's improvements as well. It does not include, but recommends also using Johnny0's Faster RRE add-on for even better rest and auto-explore experience. This add-on contains numerous Quality of Life improvements designed to make resting and auto-exploring easier to use, brings the add-on overall up to being compatible with 1.6.x, and generally seeks to remove it being more optimal to do timed rests or manual recovery (particularly to help higher difficulty level and players without Faster RRE). Cleaned up feature list in this take, to make it easier to see what it does.

It is recommended to turn off Marson's Rest and Auto-Explore as well as C.Lowe's Rest Tweaks if using. This addon is meant to include all of them.

Latest Update Notes:
• Changed steam sustain behavior to match current gameplay. Before sustains tended to shut off when available resource was 0, now they don't seem to do so. This will now only turn off sustains that drain steam if steam is going below 0, so as to get to a steady finish state.
• Fix minor bug where stealth enabling was always on if you had it.
• Added new option to ignore quest members when resting or exploring. It defaults to off but for those folks that know they want to ignore those quest allies and rest a bit.

• removed First Sighting and Reset on Rest. Someone can patch them in if they'd like it back, but I'm not really keeping them alive.

• When resting, it will check for infusions and runes that could be used to accelerate HP, Mana, or Equilibrium (via Ancestral Life or Meditation) recovery. If the acceleration appears significant, it will use them, rotating from first available infusion or rune outward. In experiment, I found this often reduced rest turn time by 50-80 percent, improving the more drained the resource was. Particularly helpful for Mana, as it avoids trade-off advantages of short term resting (for increased mana regen) + rune use by just handling that more optimal play for you automatically without breaking rest.
• Support for steam implants, with usual checkboxes. This may not always be faster based on steam sustains that may disable after the initial round of rest and steam implants having very long cooldowns (30+ turns) and steam's resource max being pretty small. It tries to be conservative on that, so will most likely help for cases where your functional steam regen rate is < 2.00 and never activate for things much above it. I found I was often getting 5-20 steam per turn, which makes the implant support useless.
• Supports for medical healing salve injectors. Cooldown measurements are a bit odd here, since they can range from 5-20 depending on injector. Went with 10 as a happy medium for how many turns of natural regen is considered to be equal to the cooldown cost of using it.
• Adding support to auto-stealth if available and not stealthed.
• Option for ignoring small damage when moving and resting, basically if it is <5%, it will ignore it by default, prevent small DoTs from preventing rest.
• Options added to control whether or not to use inscriptions to accelerate recovery of things.
• Fixes a ToME bug that can cause autoexplore or running to move only a single square and hang if used immediately after killing an enemy.
• Lore discovery will only stop autoexplore if it triggers a popup.
• Autoexplore will ignore Exploratory/Infinite Farportal return portals until the entire level has been explored.
• Ignores special terrain features such as Font of Healing after they are first discovered.
• Ignores open chests and alt Maze floor cracks.
• Rest and AE ask for confirmation if you have an escort in your party.
• Ignore already activated pedestals.
• Checks for and waits on any rechargeable items.
• Checks for and reloads any ammo in offhand quiver.
• Waits for cooldowns of talents set to auto-use.
• Waits for depleted air to replenish.
• Combines all checks into a single instance of rest, rather than having cooldowns etc. require a second resting phase.

Determines how auto-explore and running respond to telepathy, including mouse moves. Regardless of the setting, hostiles seen via telepathy will not halt resting or the Rod of Recall, nor trigger automated talents. Unique or powerful monsters (rank > 3) will always trigger a halt to running when they are spotted via telepathy for any mode except 'Original'.

Available modes:
• 'Always Viligant' always stops running when a hostile creature is seen via telepathy.
• 'Original' is standard ToME auto-explore behavior, which ignores telepathy when running or auto-exploring.

• Telepathy will not prevent auto-exploring the way normal sight will. If a halt is triggered by telepathy, hitting auto-explore again will move you at least one more square in the direction of the auto-explore path. If in 'Always Viligant' mode and a hostile is within telepathic sight (but not normal sight), you will auto-explore in 1 square per keypress increments.

Changes the appearance of the entrance to the Shadow Crypt in the far east to be different from the entrances to the Orc Prides, to avoid entering the wrong zone by mistake.

This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack improves visibility of status effects by adding particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

Places the Cursed Village event on the map as a lumberjack NPC rather than an undetectable encounter. A companion piece to Melinda on the Map and Merchant on the Map; they can be used together or separately.

Adds new talent Interact with the Mech, allowing Annihilators from the Embers of Rage DLC using the Steamtech/Mecharachnid talent tree to manipulate their mecharachnid's equipment and talents (and name) in a more convenient manner similar to Alchemists' Interact with the Golem talent.

This pack makes size categories VISIBLY apparant. To be clearer-- A "Tiny" ant will now look SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than, say... A "Big" bear.

Changes the appearance of the entrance to "sub-vaults" in the Orc Prides and High Peak to be different from the stairs down to the next level, to avoid confusion.

For Drem and Demented characters from the Forbidden Cults DLC who start with The Worm That Devours quest but go to complete another starter zone to level up before entering the worm; when you complete the quest and receive your racial starter quest, the completed zones will be applied retroactively, if applicable. (For instance, if you complete Trollmire and then return and kill the worm, and if your next quest is "Of trolls and damp caves", it will reflect that Prox has already been killed.)

Adds several new gem types and attempts to fill in some gaps in Tiered gem colors; also adds the Crystal race.

This is a continuation of jayseesee's original addon. It's my hope that the gems in this release are balanced, consistent across tiers, and useful to a variety of different characters.

Also hopefully all the Crystal's balance issues have been worked out: it should be an interesting tactical challenge to make best use of its unique mobility, find the right time to exploit its Runic Saturation status clear Stasis talent, and optimal self-imbued gemstone for each dungeon.

Adds a display effect to Cloud Caller's storm effect, similar to the Thunderstorm spell.

Adds game option "UI | Hilight arcane-disrupting equipment", which hilights in the equipment display any worn or wielded arcane-disrupting equipment that is causing the Antimagic Disruption effect.

Adds a fortress action that allows you to spend some fortress energy to enhance your worm that walks to match your speed.

A total rework of the "Verbose Enemies" mod.
Adds thousands of dynamic combat taunts, now triggered under various conditions:
- Boss-specific taunts, tailored per enemy
- Faction-specific taunts for towns and enemy groups (Zigur, Sunwall, The Way, etc.)
- Low-HP taunts when enemies are injured and getting desperate
- Configurable and mixable taunt pools (High/Low Quality, Modern, Rare)
- 'Called-shots' made by enemies just before they make a kill on you
- Friendly taunts and chatter in towns and allied zones

Supports blacklist filtering to prevent non-humanoids from taunting if you don't want them to, taunt rate tuning, etc. Includes UI config panel (under Misc Tab) for real-time adjustments.

My main motivation to make this mod was, I love the charm it adds, but Verbose Enemies went for quantity over quality.

While some people may be ok with Gen-Z nonsense, brainrot, and non-sequiturs, I felt the need to curate and split the list and in the process, ended up adding a ton of new features.

Applies the existing "Gameplay | Swap tinkers" game option when wielding objects in the telekinetic slot via the Telekinetic Grasp talent, so that attached tinkers will (if requested) be transferred automatically from the old telekinetically-wielded item to the new one.

(NOTE: If you are using this addon in conjunction with Use Item Shortcuts, you should upgrade the latter to release 2.13.0 or later. Similarly, if you are using this addon in conjunction with ZOmnibus Addon Pack or ZOmnibus Lite, you should upgrade the latter to release 17.7.4 or later.)

Modifies the Command Staff talent to work on a staff wielded in the offhand, psionic focus or other non-mainhand slot. If you are wielding multiple staffs, the talent will prompt you to choose one to modify.

If you capture a soul via Soul Leech (or other method) while you are at maximum soul capacity and your Hiemal Shield is depleted, allows you to store the soul in a temporary Hiemal Buffer to be used to pay the soul cost the next time your Hiemal Shield regenerates (normal mana costs still apply).
