About Gnomes:

Gnomes are distant relatives of Halflings, albeit a tad smaller in stature and much weaker physique. In the world of Maj_Eyal, not much is known about them for simple reasons: they usually don't leave home to go on adventures, much less to take part in heroic endeavours. People commonly mistake Gnomes for extraordinary small and malformed Halflings, even if that is far from being the truth. The existence of Gnomes as a proper subspecies has passed history unnoticed for centuries, while they lived peacefully, silent and hidden within Halfling society, dedicating their lives to the study of the physical, magical and historical dimensions of Maj'Eyal.

In theory, however, gnomes make great adventurers. While they lack any of those physical attributes, that are commonly associated with a lifestyle dedicated to performing heroic deeds, they got the ability to gain advanced knowledge about almost anything related to skillful adventuring. They start their career with two instead of just one racial talent trees and are able to learn new talent types not available to their choosen class. As a result, they make for very flexible game play, but they are challenged by a low life-rating.

Gnomes now offer a truly experimental game experience. Gnomes get two racial trees:

- one tree allows them to learn just about any talents associated to different meta themes (they can learn one type each of these groups: technique/cunning, spell/celestial/chronomancy, psionic/wild-gifts, cursed/corruption).

- the other tree provides general offensive and defensive benefits as well as resource (stamina, mana, psi, equilibrium) regeneration.

As a result, playing as a gnome makes it possible to spice up just about any class with new talent combinations normaly only experienced when playing the Adventurer class.

Additonaly, gnomes still start with their Gnomish Pocket Encyclopedia - an item, which at level 30 allows them to pick one further talent type from about just any category (excluding stone wardens talents).

Specifics - Stats and Racial Talents:

Stat modifiers: -4 Strength, +1 Dexterity, -6 Constitution, +1 Magic, +0 Willpower, +6 Cunning, +0 Luck

Update (24.01.2015):

- added a visual distinction between generic and class trees in the dialogues where you choose which talent-type to learn

A magical class based on creating and shattering illusions.

Adds generalist classes, which gain all talent trees within a meta-class.

This adds the Hurried Halfling race, as discussed here and here.

• Tier 1 - Duck and Dodge: Quickly duck and dodge past enemies, travelling to target space up to 3 spaces away. This can let you pass through enemies, and will not break Wild Speed.
• Tier 2 - Indomitable: Halflings have one of the most powerful military forces in the known world and they have been at war with most other races for thousand of years.
  Removes 2-6 stun, daze, or pin effects, and makes you immune to stuns, dazes and pins for 2-6 turns.
  This talent takes no time to use.
• Tier 3- Evasive Maneuvers: Halflings have always been a very organised and methodical race; the more foes they face, the more organised they are.
  Whenever a melee attack is made against you, you gain a 10% evasion rate for 2-6 turns. This can stack up to 2-6 times, but each creature may only give you this bonus once. (This will reset when you leave the level.)
• Tier 4 - Fleet of Foot: Halflings have long known that sometimes, the best response to danger is to run away.
  Whenever you take more than 14%-10% of your max life in a single hit (currently X), you will gain a Wild Speed effect for 1 turn, increasing your movement speed by 200%-500%. (This will deactivate if you take any action other than movement.)

Primary Features:
Two new Archmage style classes; Arcanist and Elementist.
One new Enchanter class.
Some extra talents for Alchemist.
Lots of new artifacts.
Artifact gems are more interesting to attach to golems.
Crystal Focus/Heart items can be deconstructed to recover the gem.

Arcanist Features:
Like Archmage, but also starts with temporal, meta and nightfall unlocked, and no elemental categories.
Has two unique categories; High magic and Void magic.
Can also unlock Illusion, Distortion, Power and Morph.

Elementist Features:
Like Archmage, but only elemental categories.
Has three unique categories; Elementalism, Corrupted Elements and Elemental Fusion.

Enchanter Features:
Apply a variety of enchantments to your equipment.
Dabble in safe and unsafe hedge magic.
Defeat monsters with your prowess with a staff.

Archmage Features:
1 new category containing 8 arcane/elemental combo spells.

Alchemist Features:
Altered Alchemists Guild quest.
Two new unique categories: Poison Alchemy and Metal Alchemy.
They also get access to Mana Alchemy and Herbalism.

Bite-Sized Update:
Replace some enemies with powerful Randbosses. Enemies of a Unique rank or higher, who are given random class talents.
Every rank of enemies has their own tier of loot.
As you level up, you'll see more of these buggers walking around.

You spawn at level 12, and can level up to a maximum of 200.

Increase your rank as you slay your foes.

You can see your kill counts and your rank experience in the quest log.

Adds two new shadowy Celestial classes.
First is the Moon Paladin, who fight using two weapons and the two moons.
Second is the Starslinger, who imbues their shots with the power of the stars.
Also two new subraces that start in the Far East, regardless of class.
Mardrop Humans and Star Elves.

Now with a new starting zone: Save the Sunwall crops from a worm infestation.
New second starting zone: The Tenebrous Glades.
Travel to the barely made training camp of Midnight via a jumpgate on the west side of the Gates of Morning, then head southwest.
The shadows summoned to conceal the camp have become restless and dangerous. Quiet them down and investigate what is working them up.

Currently there are nine new categories.

Werebeast fits somewhere between Cursed and Wyrmic, with a touch of Rogue thrown in.
Flavour is you have been cursed by nature's hate at those who harm it.
Can be played with conventional weapons or dual mindstars, stealthy or heavy.

Woodsman Class:
Archery, Summoning and Traps.
Use whatever you need to survive.
Summoner:
A full rework is available.
Allows you to command your critters to attack or defend.

Spell/Advanced Necrotic Minions
Undead Explosion: If used on a Wisp, it will be a radius 1 freeze. If used on a Bone Giant it will provide the Bone Shield and do physical damage.
Soulwind: Increases minion's movement speed and grants a chance to recover a soul when a minion dies.
Assemble: Better level scaling.
Minion Mastery: Added a Greater Mummy that upgrades on Ghoul King. Also protects your minions from interminion damage.

Undeath Link moved to slot 2, now does less damage to your minions, but also adds all minions life drains together.

The dead do not always rest easy, even free from fell influences.
Some linger, wishing to finish some unfinished business.
Others want to pass on a message to a loved one.
Some seek another chance for glory in battle or revenge against those who killed them.
They all eventually find a Spiritmancer, and bargain temporary servitude for closure.
The Spiritmancer can give form to the lost souls, allowing them to fight again. They also have powerful light and lightning magic.

Ghost Bulwark: active. summons a ghostly bulwark which can block attacks against adjacent allies.
Pale Veil: passive. allows your ghosts to Fade.
Ghost Berserker: active. summons a ghostly berserker. Choppy ghost.
Banshee: active. summon a banshee. Caster ghost.

Dawn
Shining Binds: active. ranged explosion for light damage and pin.
Pool of Light: active. Ground effect. Heals friendly. Lightblind enemies.
Holy Word: active. All nearby enemy undead/demons/horrors take light/arcane damage and are deafened.
Endless Light: sustain. increases light damage, light penentration and decreases spell cooldowns.

Justice
Lightning Flash: active. Throws a ball of lightning that explodes for lightning and blindness.
Peacemakers: active. Increases your summoned creatures strengths and speeds.
Indignation: active. Inscribe a symbol of justice on the ground. After a short delay it explodes with high lightning daze damage.
Righteous Fury: Lightning Mastery that also adds lightning damage to minion attacks.

Adds an alchemy table to the Infinite Dungeon, that appears with roughly a 50% chance at each floor. Here you are allowed to brew potions (similar to those achievable from the alchemical brotherhood) and transmute items into artifacts (rewards and costs are somewhat similar to the quest-mechant from Last Hope, though there is a price-scale). Depending on what you pay for, transmuted items keep their item tier (option: lesser) get a bonus of one (option: greater) or two (option: superior) item tiers. When transmuting tier 5 (option: greater) or tier 4 and higher (option: superior) items, these become extraordinarily powerful.

Brewing potions additionally consumes gold now (starts at 0, +125 / created potion)

The basic idea behind the class of the Forge Knight is that of armor and weapon crafting. While item manipulation is already part of the game in form of some talents like Stone Alchemy's Imbue item or Finer energy manipulations' Reshape Weapon/Armour, class talents of the Forge Knight go one step further and allow the recreation of a piece of armour (body, helm, shield) or weapon (metallic, non-archery). The underlying crafting process is pretty simple: an existing item is being used as raw material for the creation of a new item of the same basic type and subtype. The original item is being consumed during the crafting process. Crafted items are initially basic items (white display colour) enhanced by certain bonuses like combat damage or armour and defense values. The development of passive talents allows for a broader spectrum of enhancements on the crafted weapon. Eventually, a Forge Knight learns to craft items with innate extra properties, like a developed ego (green/blue/violett display-colours) and powerful talents, which the Forge Knight gains access to while wielding the crafted item .

In addition to two talent types dedicated to crafting (weapons, armours), the Forge Knight gets two additional unique talent types (class, generic) covering combat and passives, as well as several talent types from those normally available to members of the warrior classtree.

The class idea was partly inspired by the concept of the Enchanter class in Arcanum from House Pet, which I had alot of fun with, and the desire to build a variation of a smith-class, which doesn't exist so far in Maj'Eyal.

Addendum:

- Fixed compatibility with grayswandirs weapons pack: alternative damage modificators are now enhanced too.
- Bonuses now scale with ego-multipliers: Two Handed Weapons get slightly better bonuses, daggers slightly worse.
- Added/changed on-hit-talents.

Reduced Abuse:

- any antimagic item that is being used for forging will result in forged items with an antimagic powersource
- if reforging uniques, that are infused by arcane powers, the reforged unique will also be infused by arcane powers
- all forged items are now considered being either egoed (green, blue, violet display colour) or rare (brown display colour)
- points invested into the talent trees of armor and weapon forging can't be redistributed afterwards anymore (no 'respeccing' in towns)

Revision:

- removed access to regular shield/dualwielding/2handed-talent-trees from the Forge Knight
- added two new talent trees, that cover combat skills that work regardless if you fight using a shield, dualwielding or with a twohanded weapon (albeit with different effects)
- added the ability to switch weapon sets without spending a turn, so Forge Knights can make most use of all the weapons they are able to craft, depending on situation

Refine & Restore:

- Refine Items: Learning or putting a point into the talents "Armour Forging" or "Weapon Forging" gives access to a skill, that lets you upgrade your forged items towards your current skill level in the different talents of the forge group. Only properties that were put onto a forged item via the forge-skill previously will be affected and only items that have been forged after this patch can be refined.
- Restore Artifact: Learning or putting a point into the talents "Artifact Armor Design" or "Artifact Weapon Forging" gives access to a skill, which lets you reverse forging on an unique item of lore (golden display colour) once - to recover the original artefact. Only artefacts reforged after this patch can be restored.
- Fixed an error that would come up if forging items "of the deep".

Forbid Nature / Arcane:

- If you are too distant to nature (e.g. undead), you won't forge items which grant you wild-gift-talents anymore (unless you forge items powered by antimagic forces).
- If you are a follower of zigur, you won't craft items which grant you spellbased-talents anymore.
- Distribution of cd-reductions and talent-masteries on items hasn't been changed and stays completely random

Refinement Fix:

- Fixed an issue, where after refining an equiped weapon or armor some properties (like resists) wouldn't be registered properly
- Power Catalyst: Mind now helps you regaining lost equilibrium when resting

Small Fix (15.01.2015):
- Prevention measure related to a reported lua error

Fix weapons_of_projection (24.01.2015):
- forged weapons with the ego "of projection" should now cooldown properly
- no more lua errors incase you you have a weapon without material level (tier definition) in your inventory

This addon is home to bonus races, objects, and even a custom zone, for all your turtle pleasures.

Races;
Turtle - The normal, all around tanky subrace. Destroy your foes with potent damage reflection and regenerative properties.
MegaTurtle - Imagine normal Turtle, turned up to 11.
EarthTurtle - Potent damage reduction and save powers. The purely defensive focused Turtle.
IceTurtle - Melee's nightmare, fights with constant damage shields, ice blocks, and cold damage reflection.
VolcanicTurtle - Incredible aoe potency. The purely melee focused Turtle.

Objects;
Tauntlets - Gauntlets with the power to block.
A multitude of varied Artifacts.

Zones;
The Turtlemire - Home to all Turtles, face off against all 5 Turtle subraces.
Ancient Turtle Cave - Home to the great Turtle Demigod Rex, make your way through 3 powerful Bosses, Rex himself, and claim your rewards.

Enemies;
All subraces can be found in the game as npc opponents.
