Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Features:

• Start with a new class, the Doombringer! These avatars of demonic destruction charge into battle with massive two-handed weapons, cutting swaths of firey devastation through hordes of opponents. Armed with flame magic and demonic strength, they delight in fighting against overwhelming odds, softening up the crowd with waves of fire, then feeding on the flames and suffering of their surroundings to stay alive while quickly reducing any group to a pile of ash and gore.
• Unlock a new class, the Demonologist, with an all-new item enhancement mechanic! Bearing a shield and the magic of the Spellblaze itself, these melee-fighting casters can grow demonic seeds from their fallen enemies. The addon you hope you never have to use.

If all goes well, you never have to touch it. Behind the scenes, BGA monitors the location of every NPC on the current map level.

• In cheat mode you can use CTRL-B to pull up a list of all NPCs with details about their locations. Cheat mode will stamp your character, but it can be used as a last resort to see if a quest-required boss has gone all-out missing or not.

• If an NPC goes outside the map borders or into the middle of a wall (and it isn't a ghost), BGA will notify you and allow you to relocate the offender to a random free tile somewhere else on the level so that you can reach it. The NPC will not be placed into a vault, but it may be in a secluded room you have to dig to reach. Some levels have rooms behind undiggable walls that aren't marked as vaults. At this point, there isn't much that can be done about those locations beyond using a teleport of some sort.

• If a summons is temporarily removed from the level via Time Skip, it remains in your party. If you leave the level before the summons returns, the connection to the summons is severed and it becomes a not-there party member. If you return to the previous level, the original summons will come back out of Time Skip, but it will now be a separate entity from the one that's in your party. The one on the level will sit there and then decay. The one in your party will not decay and will take up a summons slot from that point on, but will not be on any level you visit. BGA will remove the summons in the party slot if the connection is broken, clearing it for future summons.

• If an NPC spawns and is then killed in the same turn, it can sit on that tile 'dead'. If a creature—including yourself—walks over that tile, a clone will be made, possibly creating an impassable roadblock. Hitting CTRL-C will cycle through all tiles on the level and remove any clones it finds.

• Some rooms will spawn a large group of NPCs. If there are more NPCs than tiles, they will exist 'out of phase'. You can't see or target them and can walk through them as if they didn't exist, but party members may attack the tile they are on. If the NPC has an AOE effect on them, such as an Empire Wight's lighting, it may strike you. You may also hear any sounds associated with the NPC. BGA will 'rephase' the NPC once the square they are on is unoccupied. If the tile and NPC are in sight, you will get the message, '[Name] steps out from hiding.' This may result in an unexpected enemy or two showing up in packed rooms once available space is made.

• Log will flush after special actions are taken so that cut/paste is available immediately.

• Checks for invalid Dark Fey Clones (StarKeep's Faerie Race addon)

+ Bugfix: Limmir disappearing immediately after quest completion. Removed check for 'mod.class.PartyMember' on non party members.

• This addon cannot be used to cheat and will not reveal any details about NPCs under normal play circumstances. If an NPC needs to be relocated, you will be presented with its current location and why the addon determined that there was a problem, but the new location is not revealed.***

Adds classes, races, objects and other stuff into the game.

Class: Performer / Bard

Jacks of all trades, masters of none, Bards are known for being proficient in a vast array of talents, such as melee and ranged combat, spellcasting and performing capabilities and blend all of these styles into a very versatile mix.

Race: Animal / Bunnymorph (& Kruk variant)

Bunnymorphs are former humanoids morphed into bunnies by a spooky evil dark wizard. This transformation rendered them more fragile but gave them some special talents.
Kruk Bunnymorphs are a more physically apt variant of Bunnymorphs, as they have orcish origins.

Objects and other additions include rapiers, whips, harps, flutes, lutes, singing swords, a new item type (instrument), a new resource pool (melody), a new damage type (sound), a new escort type, a sizable amount of new egos centered around melody, sound damage, new talents and a handful of new artifacts.

(BETA) Shield Hero is an Adventurer who starts with heavy armor and a shield. Not very exciting unless you were annoyed about not being able to equip your Adventurer's shield right away.
(BETA) Prototype Hero is an Adventurer who starts with 1.3 mastery in every category. Not very useful for players, but it might be interesting for addon writers to spitball new category combinations.

(INCOMPLETE) The Flux Marauder is a Paradox thug, stealing time from his enemies.

New characters in Maj'Eyal start out with the Rod of Asphyxiation, an item made to quickly drown npcs.

Changes the threat brackets in shockbolt so they're only the upper left corner and don't hide the healthbars.

Makes Luminescence a cross-tier effect, so wild infusions will more reliably clear blindness caused by sun infusions. Suggested by Edge.

Removes certain ambient sound effects:

Constitution now adds the following bonuses per point: 3 Con, 0.25% max health, 0.5% heal mod, 0.5% Stun Immunity, and 1 Max Stamina.

The Lost City of Vulcus

Some events in history are of such importance and have such wide ranging ramifications that they become fixed points -- junctions in time that must and will happen in order to maintain the integrity of the chronoverse.

Lost ages ago, Vulcus was considered by many to be the greatest center of Dwarven learning below the surface. Even up until the fall of Reknor in recent times, however, Dwarven innovation and breakthroughs continued, seemingly by miracle. Fate, however, dictates that one of the greatest untold secrets of the Empire cannot remain hidden forever. Perhaps you will be chosen to take part in this crucial point in history -- to reap the rewards or to suffer the consequences.

This addon incorporates a new major event (like the drake cave or fearscape invasion portal) that has a chance to occur (possibly more than once) on each level in various zones (Infinite Dungeon, Spellblaze Scar, Ardhungol, High Peak, Reknor, Shadow Crypt). Within the game, this event is most like a combination of the Lost Merchant and Limmir quests, and is intended to replace those for characters in the I.D.

Recommended level 10+ (depending on class). The intended difficulty is slightly higher than the Limmir quest, and there are gradations of success. Participating in the event when it spawns is completely optional and you can do it later if desired.

This is possibly the most complex encounter in ToME, with a large number of NPCs, enhanced AI, and various terrain effects. It is compute heavy and will tax slower computers (even with reduced graphics settings).

Allows Adventurer characters to use some talent trees from addon-provided classes that would otherwise be inaccessible.

More specifically: Adventurers typically are allowed to use talent trees for classes added by addons, unless those classes are flagged as not for use on random bosses. This addon bypasses that check, making talent trees from classes so flagged available to Adventurers.

This addon grew out of an attempt to rework the Arcane Blade base class from the TOME module way back in beta. Previous versions can be found under the "Arcane Blade Rework" addon. I got sufficient positive feedback, and it was a sufficient departure from the original class, that it was decided to split it off to its own class, while letting the Arcane Blade be updated by others.

The class revolves around melee spells, utilizing a mixture of stamina and mana require skills. Probably the most unique feature are the elemental stances, only which one of is active at a time, and which are activated by using the basic elemental strikes.

Plenum ToolTip: Enhanced tooltip display for ToME version 2.4 for ToME 1.3.0

This addon replaces the normal tooltip for actors in TOME with a more detailed description of monster abilities and characteristics. It adds to the standard tooltip detailed information on speed, main-hand, off-hand, and ranged damage, and damage modifiers and extra crit power, including damage penetration and damage affinities, plus retaliation damage, depending on what options are selected (from a tab in Game Options menu). This makes it much easier to inspect multiple monsters and quickly identify the most threatening. This adds the Spell/Conveyance tree as a reward for completing the Tempest Peak questline for Angolwen. All the code is borrowed from DG's own, and thus everything works the same as antimagic characters getting Fungus.

The basic idea behind the class of the Forge Knight is that of armor and weapon crafting. While item manipulation is already part of the game in form of some talents like Stone Alchemy's Imbue item or Finer energy manipulations' Reshape Weapon/Armour, class talents of the Forge Knight go one step further and allow the recreation of a piece of armour (body, helm, shield) or weapon (metallic, non-archery). The underlying crafting process is pretty simple: an existing item is being used as raw material for the creation of a new item of the same basic type and subtype. The original item is being consumed during the crafting process. Crafted items are initially basic items (white display colour) enhanced by certain bonuses like combat damage or armour and defense values. The development of passive talents allows for a broader spectrum of enhancements on the crafted weapon. Eventually, a Forge Knight learns to craft items with innate extra properties, like a developed ego (green/blue/violett display-colours) and powerful talents, which the Forge Knight gains access to while wielding the crafted item .

In addition to two talent types dedicated to crafting (weapons, armours), the Forge Knight gets two additional unique talent types (class, generic) covering combat and passives, as well as several talent types from those normally available to members of the warrior classtree.

The class idea was partly inspired by the concept of the Enchanter class in Arcanum from House Pet, which I had alot of fun with, and the desire to build a variation of a smith-class, which doesn't exist so far in Maj'Eyal.

Addendum:

- Fixed compatibility with grayswandirs weapons pack: alternative damage modificators are now enhanced too.
- Bonuses now scale with ego-multipliers: Two Handed Weapons get slightly better bonuses, daggers slightly worse.
- Added/changed on-hit-talents.

Reduced Abuse:

- any antimagic item that is being used for forging will result in forged items with an antimagic powersource
- if reforging uniques, that are infused by arcane powers, the reforged unique will also be infused by arcane powers
- all forged items are now considered being either egoed (green, blue, violet display colour) or rare (brown display colour)
- points invested into the talent trees of armor and weapon forging can't be redistributed afterwards anymore (no 'respeccing' in towns)

Revision:

- removed access to regular shield/dualwielding/2handed-talent-trees from the Forge Knight
- added two new talent trees, that cover combat skills that work regardless if you fight using a shield, dualwielding or with a twohanded weapon (albeit with different effects)
- added the ability to switch weapon sets without spending a turn, so Forge Knights can make most use of all the weapons they are able to craft, depending on situation

Refine & Restore:

- Refine Items: Learning or putting a point into the talents "Armour Forging" or "Weapon Forging" gives access to a skill, that lets you upgrade your forged items towards your current skill level in the different talents of the forge group. Only properties that were put onto a forged item via the forge-skill previously will be affected and only items that have been forged after this patch can be refined.
- Restore Artifact: Learning or putting a point into the talents "Artifact Armor Design" or "Artifact Weapon Forging" gives access to a skill, which lets you reverse forging on an unique item of lore (golden display colour) once - to recover the original artefact. Only artefacts reforged after this patch can be restored.
- Fixed an error that would come up if forging items "of the deep".

Forbid Nature / Arcane:

- If you are too distant to nature (e.g. undead), you won't forge items which grant you wild-gift-talents anymore (unless you forge items powered by antimagic forces).
- If you are a follower of zigur, you won't craft items which grant you spellbased-talents anymore.
- Distribution of cd-reductions and talent-masteries on items hasn't been changed and stays completely random

Refinement Fix:

- Fixed an issue, where after refining an equiped weapon or armor some properties (like resists) wouldn't be registered properly
- Power Catalyst: Mind now helps you regaining lost equilibrium when resting

Small Fix (15.01.2015):
- Prevention measure related to a reported lua error

Fix weapons_of_projection (24.01.2015):
- forged weapons with the ego "of projection" should now cooldown properly
- no more lua errors incase you you have a weapon without material level (tier definition) in your inventory

Places the Sect of Kryl-Feijan event on the map as a zone entrance rather than an undetectable encounter.

Adds several new gem types and attempts to fill in some gaps in Tiered gem colors; also adds the Crystal race.

This is a continuation of jayseesee's original addon. It's my hope that the gems in this release are balanced, consistent across tiers, and useful to a variety of different characters.

Also hopefully all the Crystal's balance issues have been worked out: it should be an interesting tactical challenge to make best use of its unique mobility, find the right time to exploit its Runic Saturation status clear Stasis talent, and optimal self-imbued gemstone for each dungeon.

Tweaks the Adventurer class so that its skill multipliers are equal to 1.3, as well as adding 3 stat poits, and two extra generic and talent points.

This addon adds in a Faerie, or Fey, race into ToME. This addon was originally created by Kaballah, but he hasn't been online in over a year.
Instead of letting it die (I mean, how could we not be able to play as a Faerie?) I decided to fork it over into a playable form.
I've taken it, modified it's values, and changed it's 4th talent.

Dark Faeries are Faeries that have given up much of their natural agility and defense in exchange for bonus offensive potency.
They are extremely frail, even more so than their more agile counterparts, but make up for it with faster offense, higher damage, and many different tricks.
Despite all thoughts otherwise, they are still, mostly, a playful bunch to be around, if not a bit more painful in their method of invitation.

--Decreases all foes life by a percent of their Max Life.
--Blind all foes, even those who cannot normally be blinded.
--This effect's power increases as your life decreases.
--This talent does not proc healing effects, and cannot lower enemies below 10% of their max health.

Makes the actor healthbars a 3/4 height vertical bar in the lower left, receding upwards with damage so less vital information is lost behind perspective wall tiles. Designed for use with my corner-only threat borders, but also looks passable with the default four-corner design as I also made the bar render on top of the frame. (Only issue is that full health gets lost against the ally-color frame). Looks good in sizes down to 32x32, fails to render in 16x16 presently. Intended for Shockbolt tiles and frames, not much use with roguelike.

To be honest, I've been hoping something similar would make it into the main game but it never did. Which I will forever be miffed by :).

There are alternatives (for both, the alchemist part and the escort part), check the comments, search the addons.

I keep it here for those few who might want to play an older version of the game or for coding reference.

A few things to make rng less random with regards to character build (because I really, really dislike it when a build is subject to randomness).

This includes and is limited to:
- no alchemist poaching,
- choose your own escort types.

It does make the game easier. Not in a significant way but use at risk to your own pride.

Formerly "known" as Succor and easement.

This addon adds the ability to 'reroll' a merchant item.

More specifically, this allows you to spend 400 gold if you get an item that you don't like, to gain a brand new one.

Be warned that once an item is gone, it will forever be gone, and you will never get it back.

Features:
Cunning/Dead Secrets - generic category available to Necromancer, Doomed and Shadowblade.
Grave Resolve: passive. Bonus to Fear immunity and Mental save.
Darktouched: active. Small resistance bonus against darkness, cold, undead. + touch attack Heals undead/harms others.
Dead Whispers: active. Grants telepathy Undead for a short time. Also let's you see what your minions see.
Necroanatomy: passive. You do increased damage to undead. Decreased damage you do to your own minions. Adds healing to Surge of Undeath. Increases max life of Doomed Shadows.

Will o' the Wisps: Also buffs your cold damage and resistance a little. Grants a chance to summon a wisp on spell hitting.

Ghost Touch: Curse, lowers mindsave, cold resist and stun resist.

Spell/Advanced Necrotic Minions
Undead Explosion: If used on a Wisp, it will be a radius 1 freeze. If used on a Bone Giant it will provide the Bone Shield and do physical damage.
Soulwind: Increases minion's movement speed and grants a chance to recover a soul when a minion dies.
Assemble: Better level scaling.
Minion Mastery: Added a Greater Mummy that upgrades on Ghoul King. Also protects your minions from interminion damage.

Spell/Necrotic Minions
Aura Mastery move to Necrosis.
Undeath Link moved to slot 2, now does less damage to your minions, but also adds all minions life drains together.

Shadow Tunnel now also includes the effect of Curse of the Meek.
Curse of the Meek removed.
Nether Breach added to slot 2. Its like Aether Breach but does darkness damage and won't hurt minions with Invoke Darkness 5.

Tweaked the talent levels granted by Blighted Summoning.

Also adds in a new class called the Spiritmancer:

The dead do not always rest easy, even free from fell influences.
Some linger, wishing to finish some unfinished business.
Others want to pass on a message to a loved one.
Some seek another chance for glory in battle or revenge against those who killed them.
They all eventually find a Spiritmancer, and bargain temporary servitude for closure.
The Spiritmancer can give form to the lost souls, allowing them to fight again. They also have powerful light and lightning magic.

Ghost Bulwark: active. summons a ghostly bulwark which can block attacks against adjacent allies.
Pale Veil: passive. allows your ghosts to Fade.
Ghost Berserker: active. summons a ghostly berserker. Choppy ghost.
Banshee: active. summon a banshee. Caster ghost.

Dawn
Shining Binds: active. ranged explosion for light damage and pin.
Pool of Light: active. Ground effect. Heals friendly. Lightblind enemies.
Holy Word: active. All nearby enemy undead/demons/horrors take light/arcane damage and are deafened.
Endless Light: sustain. increases light damage, light penentration and decreases spell cooldowns.

Justice
Lightning Flash: active. Throws a ball of lightning that explodes for lightning and blindness.

Talents

Ivy

All talents in this tree revolve around summoning friendly Ivy, each of which has a different effect, and scales slightly differently.
All will have 15% of your max health, and all will have a Resist All rating equal to a certain stat. (Will be listed below.)
Using one talent in this tree will put every other talent in this tree on a 3 turn cooldown.

Each Ivy's effect is applied when you land a melee attack on an enemy that is also within melee range of an Ivy.
Doing so will kill the Ivy, apply it's effect, and restore 3 Equilibrium to you.

Additionally, all Ivy (and your Bush Guardian) are part of a Plant Network, that allows them to share damage with one another.

Poison Ivy

Resist All is equal to 50% of your poison resistance.
This Ivy will deal weapon Damage split between Nature and Poison damage.

Crippling Ivy

Resist All is equal to 50% of your physical save.
This Ivy will cripple the target, reducing melee, spellcasting and mind speed for 5 turns.

Razorleaf Ivy

Resist All is equal to 50% of your bleeding resistance.
This Ivy will deal weapon Damage split between Physical and Bleeding damage.

Medicinal Ivy

Resist All is equal to 50% of your heal mod.
This Ivy will heal your health.
Amount healed is equal to your constitution + 25% of your max health.

Thorns

Offers some basic combat moves, a little bit of mobility, and a sustain that greatly increases your damage potential in extended fights.
Also includes a passive that grants some immunities, as well as reducing the immunities of nearby enemies based on it's value.

Thorn Whip

Attack a nearby enemy within range 4 for Nature weapon damage.
If you hit, you pin them, and pull yourself to them.
If used while in melee range, also deals a high amount of Physical weapon damage.
Can be cast on an Ivy, which will refund your cost, and half your cooldown.
Higher talent levels allow you to control your landing.

Thorn Graze

Attack an enemy in melee range for Nature weapon damage.
Also deals a high amount of weapon damage split between Bleeding and Poison.
If used while your Bushy Friend is within melee range of your target, applies a regeneration effect onto your Bushy Friend.

Thorn Rose

Grants passive Pin, Poison, and Bleeding resistance.
Also passively reduces the Pin, Poison, and Bleeding resistance of nearby enemies based on this value.

Thorn Body

Sustain that grants passive Armor and Strength.
Also adds bonus Bleeding damage when hit in melee, and on weapon attacks.

Bush Guardian

A tree that revolves around a moderate damage pet, that uses him for mobility and damage options.

Bushy Beard

Passively grant yourself Constitution and Accuracy.
Sustain this talent to bring your Bushy Friend to the battlefield.
Your Bushy Friend's stats are based on your Willpower and Max Life, and he gains bonus Life Regen and Resist All for every Ivy on the field.

Bush Taunt

Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield.
Deals damage in a radius 1 around your Bushy Friend.
Taunts any enemies hit.

Bush to Bush

Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield.
Deals damage in a radius 1 around both yourself, and your Bushy friend.
You deal Physical damage, Bushy friend deals half Nature, half Bleeding.
If your Bushy Friend is more than 2 tiles away, you also jump near him.

Bush Whacker

Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield and within 2 tiles of yourself.
Kicks your Bushy Friend across the battlefield, dealing damage in a radius 1 around his landing position, and stunning targets hit.

Hedgecraft

A tree that revolves around using your control over the hedge to do weave 'Impossible' feats.

One With the Hedge

Link yourself into your Plant Network, sharing and receiving damage though it.
Talent points reduce the values you give and recieve.

Hedgify

Empower your weapon with the very power of the Hedge itself, and attack all targets within a range of 3 for half Nature, half Poison damage.
Confuses all targets hit.
With One with the Hedge sustained, this talent's cooldown is reduced to 4, and it additionally heals all allies within range.

Hedge Portal

Step 'through' the Hedge to your target location, gaining bonus Armor, Defense, and Resist All for a few turns.
With One with the Hedge sustained, this talent requires you to target a friendly Ivy for the teleport(which will die), but it's cost and cooldown are removed.

Hedge Grasp

Pull in a nearby enemy with the power of the hedge, pinning and blinding them.
With One with the Hedge sustained, if your Bushy Friend is on the field, he'll pin and blind all enemies around his current position.

Petals

A tree that revolves around low to mid ranged melee combat.

Petal Beam

Attack an enemy at short range with a Nature Weapon attack.
If the attack hits, you will deal additional damage to all enemies near your main target.

Petal Swarm

Attack an enemy at short to medium range with a Nature Weapon attack.
If the attack hits, you Stun them.
If the attack misses, or the Stun fails, you instead Daze them. This Daze cannot be resisted.

Petal Implosion

Attack an enemy in melee range with a high damage Nature Weapon attack.
This attack will than knock you back a small to medium distance.

Petal Dance

Sustain this talent to become one with your Petals.
While sustained, every single Weapon attack you do grants you a Petal charge.
If the enemy is in melee range, they are additionally knocked back 1 tile.
These petal charges will be expended whenever you take more than 5% of your max life in damage, and will reduce the damage.
You lose 1 charge per turn.
Damaging Ivy grant 2 charges each, while non damaging Ivy grant 0 charges.

Creates a new widget that displays how long it will take your character to perform various actions. Works in Minimalist or Classic UI. Full UI functionality (scale, move, etc). Mouse over an NPC or projectile to see how their speeds compare to yours. Enable verbose mode from "Chronometer" in main menu for even more info about your moused over targets' speeds.

Due to MD5 woes, the earlier Chronometer page has been lost (along with my votes :( )

- This addon introduces a new variant of vault, the bazaar, where you don't fight for items, but rather buy (or steal) them.

- A central aspect of this addon is a new questline (consisting of 3 follow-up-quests), which introduces the player to the bazaar-system. The questline starts in the Village of Elvala (look out for a special npc - he will lookout for you as well).

- I took the idea to this addon from starsapphire (Idea : Markets in dungeons! - http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=42553)

------ Details: ------

(1) Bazaars can appear in most dungeons and outdoor zones, which happen to also generate vaults; chances for regular vault-generation aren't being limited. Bazaars won't appear in the East however - tradesmen haven't made it there yet.

(2) Each bazaar contains a shopkeeper and a limited amount of items, which can't be pickuped by normal means (they are chained to the ground). Instead, you either have to pay to be able to pick up such an item - or you try to unchain it (success chances scale with cunning, dexterity and talent points in Heightened Senses and Stealth). Failure to unchain it will trigger a trap which teleports the player (and his party) to a parallel zone ("Mirrorscape").

--> To escape from the Mirrorscape, a special guardian needs to be killed. Alternatively, there are two hidden exit points. The Power of the Guardian scales extremely with the Base-Level of the Zone (Break-Points: Level 20, 30, 50, 70) and the item-quality the trap is based on (unique items are protected by stronger guardians). Killing the guardian allows the player to pick up the item in question.

--> Killing the shopkeeper unchains all item in his shop. Shopkeepers are extremely strong, however.

(3) Additionally, each shopkeeper has a rare ingredient for sale, and some of them also sell maps, which point to special treasure areas in a variety of zones. To find out about these special goods, chat with the vendor. (Again, treasuremaps point only to zones in the West.)

(4)In Elvala starts a questline, which leads to the discovery of a new zone, The Bazaar. Follow-up quests then introduce more in depth to the bazaar system.

(5) Most bazaar-vaults will also be generated inside the Infinite Dungeon - most Treasuremaps also work here.

(6) From time to time, a caravan will spawn on the overworld map. Encountering a caravan is similar to an "Ambush", however without meeting hostile npcs - instead, two shopkeepers will offer their items.

Feedback about bugs, improvements, compatibility issues very welcome.
