Hi, thanks for this guide! It's great and I'm going to make use of it on my exploration of Cursed.
I just have a bit offtopic question I can't find the answer for:
Where is Tranquil Meadow? I can't believe there is a while dungeon I haven't seen yet.
Going anti-magic is slightly more effective, but you don't have to go anti-magic-- antimagic is not a win button, and antimagic comes with drawbacks. The costs of playing a Shalore are more about hp and experience penalty than about the antimagic thing. Shalore probably isn't the best race, and Cursed are certainly not the best class for Shalore, but Shalore Cursed can do just fine.
Is it just me, or would a Shalore Cursed be somewhat counter-productive, since you want to go Anti-Magic, but AM interferes with your racials? Their racials are spells, donchaknow.
Thanks, I hope it helps you!
Per your recommendation, I've posted a link in the Afflicted forum (down at the bottom of a page that's the current guide, but I don't want to get too big for my britches)
This looks like a really good guide. I'm looking forward to trying it out someday.
Why not post a copy on the forums, in the metaclass/afflicted section?
Was my comment removed? I don't see it. I'm not sure how this "TALK" section works.
I'm new to the game and new to this site, so apologize if this is not the right way to go about this. Can anyone explain why my Forked Lightning spell disappeared from my action bar? I have no way of using this spell now. Is this a glitch or a function of the game? I've rested, checked the other pages (1-6, I beleive), every thing I can think of...
Any help is greatly appreciated,
~ Imp

yep! ;)
Dreadfell is *never* easy; lesson well learnt I suppose ? ;)
Dreaming horrors are about the nastiest stuff around at the moment, so kudos on killing one. But remember you can always run away from them, should you encounter one with a less powerful character ;)
I just wanted to say that it was good of you to admit you were wrong and apologize, I really appreciate people who are mature enough to do that, since it seems so many people can't. Kudo's to you.
nicely done with the new version - got my characters back on my online profile! thanks for this
Dreaming horrors are scary. One dreaming horror - farportal boss has killed my arcane archmage twice...
Epic is a good word for Tome, I think?
Epic and fun.
Lvl 20 now...
Congrats!
More awareness, yes please do! :)
Thanks :)
Good luck!
Nothing stops you (anyone) from actually handwriting a post with a screenshot that they've killed the master, and mentioning the Tales of Maj'Eyal page in the post.
At the risk of self-horn-tootage, you could use my Timed Rest addon to rest 20 or 50 or some large number of turns at a time. The resting will be interrupted by all the usual things that interrupt rest.
I wish there was a 'wait until player interrupt or enemy detected / damage / etc' button. A number of my best characters have died because I was waiting for something but couldn't use auto rest and got complacent spamming the wait 1 turn command.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. If you have any constructive criticism, I'll always gratefully receive it, as I want to improve as a writer.
Hamrik's adventures are far from over, but website glitches have been giving me trouble uploading the latest updates. You can always find the latest chapter on the forums.
Yeah, I know that feeling. I tend to die in one of three ways: the occasional just-bad-luck where I bump into some rare that I can't seem to handle and can't seem to escape. (That's the least frequent death-cause for me at this point.) Or I tangle with adventurers and their ilk and end up getting team-roasted by the whole group at once. (Less common now that they are slower and easier to get around, but it still happens.) Or I get complacent or lazy, think the current area just isn't going to be that hard for me at my Amazing Stage of Excellent Advancement... and get pulled apart by my own hubris. (This definitely remains my number one casus mortem.)
Maybe someday I'll learn: humility and caution are important for adventurers of all levels!
@PowerWyrm....Dude, that means it IS a bug. It's not supposed to happen, it's a coding oversight, plain and simple. I'll be damned if I'm going to dig out walls.
But could we perhaps have a way to do this for individual unlocks? I got Marauder illicitly a while back, while playing around with a cheat-mode Shadowblade. I'd like to pick it up honestly sometime.
