This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack adds particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

Adds the Dark Priest, a mage subclass.

Even in an age of supposed prosperity, there are many who lose their lives in vain. Those who tend the wounded, returned home from battle or adventure, are highly skilled in the arts of healing, many using arcane techniques. But there are some who have seen too much. They have formed a brotherhood of those who have accepted the Dark Truth. Eyal has but one true God, and He demands sacrifices. The Dark Priest and his brethren tap into arcane energies to deliver the bad word unto all the people of Maj'Eyal. They manipulate darkness and life energy to convey their message of doom and despair. When that doesn't work, carrying a big stick helps, too.

Dark Priests use Magic and Cunning as their primary stats. They focus on Darkness and Arcane spells, and are proficient in staff combat, as well. They also have command of a unique kind of magic, Unhealing. Unhealing is negative healing and such functions differently than damage. It will not be affected by any type of damage mitigation and will be increased by the target's healing modifier.

Adds additional fire and darkness trees for defiler classes, and the emblazoned class, who uses a mixture of them and Uhr'rok talents.

Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. Features:

• Two new events, appearing anywhere in Eyal!

Places the Sect of Kryl-Feijan event on the map as a zone entrance rather than an undetectable encounter.

Modifies the life bar to show useful information when the player is below zero life.

A collection of small quality-of life tweaks for tinker-using characters in the Embers of Rage DLC. Notable changes:

• New tinker recipe Regeneration Salve.
• In the Create Tinker dialog, place initial focus in the recipes list for ease of keyboard navigation.
• Expand the descriptions of schematics in tinker stores and recipes in the Create Tinker dialog to include more useful information.
• For characters with both a transmogrification chest and an Automated Portable Extractor, the latter will automatically be used for items that yield ingredients when melted, and the former will be used for the rest for fortress energy (controlled by game options "Gameplay | Multiplexed transmogrification" and "Gameplay | Multiplexed transmogrification minimum tier").
• Schematics for tinkers you've already learned can optionally be listed in a different color in stores and in player inventory for easier distinction (controlled by game option "Gameplay | Highlight learned schematics in stores").
• (new in v1h) Mental stimulator tinkers are altered to confer sleep resistance.

New start zone for Shaloren, cos the Scintillating Caves is a bit mean.

This pack compiles several classes, with an emphasis on hybrid design. Not all classes are complete: the ones which I'm not satisfied with are marked as either INCOMPLETE or "in BETA".

- The Transcendent Fist is an unarmed Psionic warrior, using a gem in his TK slot to hit with flexible energy types.
- The Storm Warden is a melee-and-ranged skirmisher with magical mobility and support spells.

(BETA) Shield Hero is an Adventurer who starts with heavy armor and a shield. Not very exciting unless you were annoyed about not being able to equip your Adventurer's shield right away.
(BETA) Prototype Hero is an Adventurer who starts with 1.3 mastery in every category. Not very useful for players, but it might be interesting for addon writers to spitball new category combinations.

I'm still new at this, so let me know if there are any issues and I'll try to sort them out.

V1.0.1 is up, I wasn't paying attention when I did it through TOME so I just got rid of the old version. This version should hopefully add in the random escort quests for the three races, since they weren't defined before.

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Play a Brawler in the East to fulfill your life-long dream of suplexing an entire nation of giants, or play a Sawbutcher in Maj'Eyal to shred through Dreadfell in a whirlwind of sawblades and steam!

The addon you hope you never have to use.

If all goes well, you never have to touch it. Behind the scenes, BGA monitors the location of every NPC on the current map level.

• In cheat mode you can use CTRL-B to pull up a list of all NPCs with details about their locations. Cheat mode will stamp your character, but it can be used as a last resort to see if a quest-required boss has gone all-out missing or not.

• If an NPC goes outside the map borders or into the middle of a wall (and it isn't a ghost), BGA will notify you and allow you to relocate the offender to a random free tile somewhere else on the level so that you can reach it. The NPC will not be placed into a vault, but it may be in a secluded room you have to dig to reach. Some levels have rooms behind undiggable walls that aren't marked as vaults. At this point, there isn't much that can be done about those locations beyond using a teleport of some sort.

• If a summons is temporarily removed from the level via Time Skip, it remains in your party. If you leave the level before the summons returns, the connection to the summons is severed and it becomes a not-there party member. If you return to the previous level, the original summons will come back out of Time Skip, but it will now be a separate entity from the one that's in your party. The one on the level will sit there and then decay. The one in your party will not decay and will take up a summons slot from that point on, but will not be on any level you visit. BGA will remove the summons in the party slot if the connection is broken, clearing it for future summons.

• If an NPC spawns and is then killed in the same turn, it can sit on that tile 'dead'. If a creature—including yourself—walks over that tile, a clone will be made, possibly creating an impassable roadblock. Hitting CTRL-C will cycle through all tiles on the level and remove any clones it finds.

• Some rooms will spawn a large group of NPCs. If there are more NPCs than tiles, they will exist 'out of phase'. You can't see or target them and can walk through them as if they didn't exist, but party members may attack the tile they are on. If the NPC has an AOE effect on them, such as an Empire Wight's lighting, it may strike you. You may also hear any sounds associated with the NPC. BGA will 'rephase' the NPC once the square they are on is unoccupied. If the tile and NPC are in sight, you will get the message, '[Name] steps out from hiding.' This may result in an unexpected enemy or two showing up in packed rooms once available space is made.

• Log will flush after special actions are taken so that cut/paste is available immediately.

• Checks for invalid Dark Fey Clones (StarKeep's Faerie Race addon)

+ Bugfix: Limmir disappearing immediately after quest completion. Removed check for 'mod.class.PartyMember' on non party members.

• v2.2.2 - Compatible with ToME 1.1.5 to 1.2.2

• This addon cannot be used to cheat and will not reveal any details about NPCs under normal play circumstances. If an NPC needs to be relocated, you will be presented with its current location and why the addon determined that there was a problem, but the new location is not revealed.***

A collection of tweaks for existing ToME content.

Slightly adjust the random level selection for escort quests to avoid levels with zone bosses.

This addon adds in a Faerie, or Fey, race into ToME. This addon was originally created by Kaballah, but he hasn't been online in over a year.
Instead of letting it die (I mean, how could we not be able to play as a Faerie?) I decided to fork it over into a playable form.
I've taken it, modified it's values, and changed it's 4th talent.

The Fey are an incredibly quick and agile race, however they are incredibly fragile.
You will have to make use of their blinding speed to survive encounters.
If you find yourself in trouble, you can spray some Fey Dust onto nearby enemies while you escape.

Dark Faeries are Faeries that have given up much of their natural agility and defense in exchange for bonus offensive potency.
They are extremely frail, even more so than their more agile counterparts, but make up for it with faster offense, higher damage, and many different tricks.
Despite all thoughts otherwise, they are still, mostly, a playful bunch to be around, if not a bit more painful in their method of invitation.

Donators/Buyers bonus!

Presents a dialog when you attack or are attacked by an adventurers party or hostile ziguranth patrol on the world map, prompting you to either evade or fight.  The behavior of this dialog can be controlled by the "Adventurers party response strategy" options under Game Options in the <Esc> menu, allowing you to specify "always evade" or "never evade" as the default behavior.

Also available as part of the ZOmnibus Addon Pack.

Adds the Gladiator, a warrior subclass. Gladiators are weapons experts and can wield one-handed weapons in either hand with ease, however they are also proficient with two-handed weapons and shields.
They learn many techniques for use with Axes, Maces, Swords and even more exotic weapons. Gladiators are able to quickly swap weapons and stack numerous detrimental effects on their foes, then finish them off with skills that grow more deadly the more devastated their enemies become.
Includes six new class trees and one new generic tree, allowing for a variety of builds. Will you wield maces and shields and wear your foes down while sheltered inside your armor or put defense aside, pick up a pair of waraxes and become The Axebutcher?

Sneaks in after Necromancy+, Eternal Darkness and Deathknight are done and makes all their stuff coexist. Probably makes Necromancers OP.

Adds the Prowler subclass, a hybrid Wilder that uses stealth and mobility to take down their foes. Uses a combination of standard Rogue and Wilder talents, four new Wild-Gift trees and two new Technique trees. Prowlers are wild-rogues that focus on agile melee combat with psiblades or daggers and use their strong will to augment their abilities and call nature to their bidding.

Adds two new shadowy Celestial classes.
First is the Moon Paladin, who fight using two weapons and the two moons.
Second is the Starslinger, who imbues their shots with the power of the stars.
Also two new subraces that start in the Far East, regardless of class.
Mardrop Humans and Star Elves.

Now with a new starting zone: Save the Sunwall crops from a worm infestation.
New second starting zone: The Tenebrous Glades.
Travel to the barely made training camp of Midnight via a jumpgate on the west side of the Gates of Morning, then head southwest.
The shadows summoned to conceal the camp have become restless and dangerous. Quiet them down and investigate what is working them up.

Currently there are nine new categories.
Celestial/Night: A utility based generic category that generates negative celestial energies.
Celestial/Lunar Combat: Powerful offensive talents invoking the power of the moons.
Celestial/Guidance: Some defensive and one offensive talents for Moon Paladin.
Celestial/Shooting Stars: Combines star magic with ranged weapons.
Celestial/Deep Space: Some high level celestial magic for Starslinger.
Celestial/Sigils: Shape negative celestial energies into traps.
Celestial/Glory: High level light magic for Sun Paladins and Anorithil.
Celestial/Moon Magic: Magic derived from the two moons of Eyal.
Celestial/Umbra: High level dark magic for Anorithil and Star Slingers.

It also grants Sun and Glyphs to Sun Paladin at 1.3 mastery.
Reworks Chants and Hymns, and buffs Sunburst.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)
Note: Unfortunately the only time that addons can get the possible escort types is after the random escort quest is assigned.
This means escorts added by other addons will not be available for selection, but will still be possible to find using the random selection.

Makes alchemists focus on creating elixirs that you are not currently helping them with.
In the base game, when you hand in ingredients to an alchemist, another alchemist completes one of his remaining elixirs at random.
What this addon does is remove the elixir that you are already helping them with from the possible elixirs to be chosen unless it is their last elixir.

This is a highly extensive "unofficial DLC" that takes the summonable creatures from the Summoner class and turns them into fully-talented, highly-comprehensive classes with their story and unique events.
This pack features the ranged summons: Hydra, Fire Drake, and Flamespitter Ritch.

Details:
This modifies the "Age of Ascendency" story, as you are no longer human, but rather, a natural, spiritual being. This means several conversations and services may become unavailable or even change to behave in new ways.
The plot's progression is mostly unchanged, but now you are operating under the command of an ominous individual known only as "The Summoner". He sends you off to do tasks-- But in the end, it is up to you to decide whether you will work cooperatively with him or not.
This was a labour of love, and I would want nothing more than for you to enjoy a new flavor of experience-- And a new type of challenge and difficulty in Tales of Maj'Eyal.

"Hydra is a nigh-indestructible damage sponge that doles out as much as it takes, capable of attacking several times and several targets per turn. It possesses Feral, Glare, and Drool heads, each respectively associated with its Physical, Mental, and Magical wellbeing. You can choose whether you want to bite, stare, or spew your enemies to death-- Or maybe even some combination of such!"
"Fire Drake is a dedicated pet general, leading a batch of child fire dragons called 'Drakelings'. They are capable of growing and learning many of your talents-- But you must choose whether you will dedicate yourself to nurturing them, or making yourself powerful enough to protect them from the dangers of Eyal. "Ritch is a fullblown assassin, possessing a variety of techniques that want nothing more than for its victims to bleed, burn, and die to death-- And not necessarily in that order. Most significantly, they can craft and engraft bladed weapons to replace their claws, making them the only Avatar class capable of utilizing human weaponry. Killing is a skill, and you're good at it!"

Adds two races, one class, a new town, and a new low level dungeon. Completing a quest to explore the new dungeon unlocks purchasable perks in the town. This quest is the starting quest for the added races, but anyone can access an alternate version of the quest with the same rewards. Look toward the coast east of Last Hope to get started.

Available perks (cost varies):
Reveal Exotic Weapons Mastery (must already know Combat Training; Combat Training can also be purchased as per Last Hope shops).

Gain the ability to invest in Heavy Armour Training and equip mail(heavy) armor by meeting the requirement with the highest of Constitution and Dexterity (or Strength, as usual).

Gain bonus attack and movement speeds and a chance to evade incoming damage while wearing mail(heavy) armor. These values scale with Dex and Con, respectively.

Learn (locked or unlocked) a new Psionic/Mindstar combat talent tree. Similar to Wild-Gift/Mindstar mastery, this tree also has a Psiblades sustain. Once learned, you can also pay to boost mastery (as with Mindstar mastery from Zigur).

Psionic/Mindstar combat:

Psiblades:
Increases damage and physical power when attacking with Mindstars. When sustained, increases the damage modifiers and mind stats granted by equipped mindstars (this is an exact copy of the wild-gift/mindstar mastery psiblades talent).

Mind Thorns:
Instantly touch the mind of an adjacent foe, creating mental thorns which reduce mind save and deal mind damage each turn for a few turns.

Mind Storm:
Create a storm of psionic energy which lasts for a few turns. The storm will overheat the mind of foes in the area, causing them to burn (stacking). Allies in the area will be obscured by illusions, reducing the bonus damage of critical hits dealt to them.

Psionic Balance:
Attack an adjacent enemy with your mainhand Psiblade and channel the energy through your offhand to create a psionic damage shield around an ally or yourself. The power of the shield is based on the damage of the attack and can be a mental critical. The shielded target will also regain an amount of Psi based on the damage of the attack.

Races:

The Naloren are elven race with an affinity for water who are adept with mail armor, whips and tridents. They are also known for their bountiful spirit and superb flexibility.
Talents:

Spirit of the Tides:
Gain X charges of Surging Spirit for 5 turns. Charges will be consumed as you activate talents to reduce their cooldown by one turn per charge.

Spirited Combat:
Gain X% armor hardiness in all types of armor and a Y% Constitution damage modifier for all weapons.

Cleansing Water:
When you are afflicted with a detrimental effect you have a X% chance to create a 1-tile pool of Cleansing Water within 2 tiles of yourself. Moving into Cleansing Water will consume it to cleanse the detrimental effect with the highest duration currently afflicting you. This has a cooldown (3).

Whitewater:
Call on the surging tides to aid you, creating radius X pool of rushing water lasting for 6 turns. Moving within Whitewater is instant for you. Foes will have a 50% chance with each movement within Whitewater to flounder, draining 50% of a turn and leaving them Dazed for 1 turn.

Stats:

+ 4 Con, +4 Dex, -1 Cun, -1 Str, -1 Mag, +10 life rating, 10% increased global speed, 15% xp penalty.

The Freeks are a tribe of Yeeks who broke free from The Way. They are still strong psionics, but their minds have been irreparably shattered.
Talents:

Unbound Mind:
Remove up to X silence and confusion effects from yourself and increase your silence and confusion immunities by 100% for a few turns. When activated, all foes in range 8 are afflicted with Shattered Mind for the same duration, giving them a chance each turn to become dazed or confused(35%) for 2 turns.

Partition:
Increases resistance to all damage and decreases the duration of negative effects.

Hasty:
Gain a passive mind speed bonus. If you are afflicted by 4 or more negative effects, the passive speed bonus will temporarily be doubled and any actions (attacks, spells, movement, etc) will use your mind speed if it is faster than the usual speed.

Schism:
Create up to 3 illusions of yourself adjacent to foes within range 10 that will taunt enemies for a few turns.

Stats:
-2 Con, +0 Dex, +3 Cun, +0 Str, +1 Mag, +3 Wil, +9 life rating, -10% xp 'penalty', -15% confusion immunity.

Added a new Psionic subclass: the Psion.
Psions are mindpowered ranged casters who prefer to wield 3 mindstars.
Psions know many of the same talents as Mindslayers, but enhance and adapt them to their own purposes.

Telekinetic Crush:

 Deal physical damage and stun. Active Aura damage is added to the attack at 3 times the usual power.

Stimulation:
Increase Con based on combined Wil and Cun.

Guiding Star:
Target a foe and disrupt their next talent with a blast of physical damage. At level 3+ adds confuses. At 5+ has a passive chance to block damage over a threshold, blast the source, and disrupt the source talent.

Puncture:
Deal physical damage with added bleeding damage. At level 3+ has a chance to disrupt temporary buffs on the target. Direct damage bypasses ice blocks.

Psionic Striking

Kinetic Blast:

 Deal physical damage and pin. Frozen targets take extra damage and both hits bypass the ice block.

Thermal Blast:
Deal fire damage and cold damage and freeze. If target is pinned, pull in nearby enemies and freeze them to the ground for a few turns.

Charged Blast:
Deal lightning damage and shock (reduce stun/pin resist by half). If target is pinned, boost Charge Shield value. If target is frozen, push nearby enemies away from you.

Psi Weaving:
Increased Fire, Cold and Lightning damage and res pen. Also applies to physical, but at half the value.

Altered Talents
Beyond the Flesh:
TK mindstars now project a blast of damage instead of pulling enemies. Chance, range and damage scale with mindstar tier (damage also scales on Mindpower). Active Aura damage is added to the blast at 2 times the usual power.

Quick as Thought:
Also increases mental crit chance.

Mindhook:
Can also target a wall to pull yourself.

Resonant Focus:
TK mindstars have increased chance to blast and also increase the radius of Voracity talents and the range non-melee mind powers.

Frenzied Focus:
TK mindstars attempt to blast all foes in range and Aura damage is added at 4 times the usual power.

Transcendent Telekinesis:
Resets Kinetic Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Physical while in effect. Kinetic Blast will also strike two random foes adjacent to the target.

Transcendent Electrokinesis:
Resets Charged Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Lightning while in effect. Charged Blast will also chain to 3 nearby enemies.

Static Net:
Static Charge is released with your next Telekinetic Crush or Charged Blast.

Transcendent Pyrokinesis:
Resets Thermal Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Fire or Cold (based on your increased damage) while in effect. Thermal Blast cold/freeze will hit in a radius 1 ball.

Ghost Touch: Curse, lowers mindsave, cold resist and stun resist.

Spell/Advanced Necrotic Minions
Undead Explosion: If used on a Wisp, it will be a radius 1 freeze. If used on a Bone Giant it will provide the Bone Shield and do physical damage.
Soulwind: Increases minion's movement speed and grants a chance to recover a soul when a minion dies.
Assemble: Better level scaling.
Minion Mastery: Added a Greater Mummy that upgrades on Ghoul King. Also protects your minions from interminion damage.

Spell/Necrotic Minions
Aura Mastery move to Necrosis.
Undeath Link moved to slot 2, now does less damage to your minions, but also adds all minions life drains together.

Spell/Necrosis
Undeath Link moved to Necrotic Minions.
Impending Doom moved the slot 3.
Aura Mastery added to slot 2.

Spell/Shades
Shadow Tunnel now also includes the effect of Curse of the Meek.
Curse of the Meek removed.
Nether Breach added to slot 2. Its like Aether Breach but does darkness damage and won't hurt minions with Invoke Darkness 5.

Tweaked the talent levels granted by Blighted Summoning.

Also adds in a new class called the Spiritmancer:

The dead do not always rest easy, even free from fell influences.
Some linger, wishing to finish some unfinished business.
Others want to pass on a message to a loved one.
Some seek another chance for glory in battle or revenge against those who killed them.
They all eventually find a Spiritmancer, and bargain temporary servitude for closure.
The Spiritmancer can give form to the lost souls, allowing them to fight again. They also have powerful light and lightning magic.

Sprites: active. Summons Wisps of lightning. Ranged zappers.
Jolt of Fate: active. Lighting hits a random visible enemy.
Karmic Shield: active. Absorbs damage for a few turns then explodes based on damage absorbed.
Karmic Wave: active. weakish lightning damage cone. stronger when you are low on health.

Life Giver
Clay Golem: active. imbue a clay golem with the soul of a fallen warrior. Golem grants a physical resistance aura.
Poltergeist: sustain. randomly inflicts disarm or knockback against nearby enemies.
Gift of Life: active. give part of your life to your summons, healing them and making them tougher.
Hope: sustain. reduces debuff durations, increases fear resist.

Ghosts
Ghost Bulwark: active. summons a ghostly bulwark which can block attacks against adjacent allies.
Pale Veil: passive. allows your ghosts to Fade.
Ghost Berserker: active. summons a ghostly berserker. Choppy ghost.
Banshee: active. summon a banshee. Caster ghost.

Dawn
Shining Binds: active. ranged explosion for light damage and pin.
Pool of Light: active. Ground effect. Heals friendly. Lightblind enemies.
Holy Word: active. All nearby enemy undead/demons/horrors take light/arcane damage and are deafened.
Endless Light: sustain. increases light damage, light penentration and decreases spell cooldowns.

Justice
Lightning Flash: active. Throws a ball of lightning that explodes for lightning and blindness.
Peacemakers: active. Increases your summoned creatures strengths and speeds.
Indignation: active. Inscribe a symbol of justice on the ground. After a short delay it explodes with high lightning daze damage.
Righteous Fury: Lightning Mastery that also adds lightning damage to minion attacks.

Adds the Orcnac Subrace, the Orc equivilent of a Cornac.

Improves the "Press <control> to compare" functionality for objects.  New features:

• When pressing <control>, a note at the top of the text will tell you which object in your equipment is being compared against the current item.
• While holding <control>, tapping <shift> will cycle through the objects in your equipment that the current item can be compared to.  Useful when wearing two rings, dual-wielding, or using the second weapon set.
• (new in v3) Runes and inscriptions in your inventory or store inventories can be compared via <control> to corresponding inscriptions on your body.
