While wearing no heavy armor (including helms, boots and gloves) and wielding no weapons: Free Respec 1.7.2Allow trial and error for character building without restarting new game while minimizing inbalance. You can respec stats, talents, categories and prodigies freely at any time. Based on Full Respecialization. Fix the Error for prodigies learning introduced v1.7. Warning: Weight: 100 Superload: Swordsmaster Class 1.7.2Adds a swordsmaster class to the game. CHANGELOG1.6.0 - Added a new talent tree, Technique/Fencing which has defensive talents related to parrying. - The talent Web of Steel has been moved from Swordsmanship to Fencing. It's place in the Swordsmanship tree has been taken by a new talent, Vorpal, which gives Physical Power and Armor Penetration. - The talent Crescent Sweep has been reworked. It deals more damage, inflicts bleed, moves before attacking, no longer allows swapping places, and has a cooldown. It's usage as a spammable movement talent for swapping places has been filled by the new Mist Step talent on the Fencing tree. - Lightspeed Draw can now attack enemies adjacent to any tiles you pass through in addition to enemies that you pass through directly. These additional targets count when determining whether you can use Lightspeed Draw or not. It still can only hit one enemy per tile you travel through though. - Fixed Swordsmanship not functioning for daggers - Fixed Swordsmanship to not permanently replace a weapon's strength damage mod with dexterity - Harrying blows no longer requires your spring attacks to hit the target; instead it only requires that you attempt them. - Harrying blows's finishing blow now bypasses evasion/repulsion talents that the target possesses - Harrying blows's finishing blow no longer ignores ALL armor and resistances. It ignores 50% of the target's resistances, and has set bonus armor penetration. - Spring Attack now functions immediately when activated instead of only after an action is performed after it is activated. - Surgical Strikes's stun and interference effects are now separate (so you get the full stun regardless of what the target does on its next turn). It's cooldown has also been increased from 6 to 8. - Added clarifying text to the descriptions of Will to Live and Unfetter to give a better idea of how effective they are when leveled up without requiring arithmetic. - Buffed Spring Attack stamina restoration - Cunning/Tactical is once again locked by default - Added translation support to timed effects 1.5.2 - Fixed bug with pre-use talent for swordsmanship talents when npc does not have an inventory 1.5.0 - Added a new talent tree, Technique/Two-handed Bladework, which serves as a Dexterity-based replacement for Technique/Two-handed Assault - As it has now been replaced, Technique/Two-handed Assault has been removed from the Swordsmaster class. - Cunning/Tactical is now unlocked by default 1.4.1 - Lightspeed Fatigue duration changed from 40 turns to a lower value which is based on effective talent level - (with 1.3 mastery: 24, 21, 18, 16, 14) - Lightspeed Fatigue now increases stamina cost of Lightspeed Draw linearly instead of quadratically. - (20 -> 40 -> 60 -> 80) instead of (20 -> 40 -> 80 -> 160) - Removed cooldown from Spring Attack, making it fully toggleable. 1.4.0 - Changed Moving Target to reduce direct damage taken by 30% instead of giving 15% all resist. - Buffed pin resistance of Slippery to 100% from 50% - Buffed movement speed granted by Slippery to 50% from 20% - Spring Attack once again restores stamina when wielding one-handed weapons - Lowered the maximum number of attacks per turn at ETL 5 for Spring Attack from 3 to 2 - Fixed typo in Harrying Blows description - Fixed Swordsmanship talents still being usable even when disarmed - Removed Duelist tree from Swordsmaster class, as it is mostly extraneous at this point 1.3.1 - Fixed infinite loop caused when reflecting certain spells like Invoke Darkness with Web of Steel 1.3.0 - Updated for version 1.7.2 - Raised stamina cost and cooldown for "Never Give Up" - Added offhand damage increase to "Swordsmanship" for swords and daggers - Changed format calls to tformat calls to support potential translation 1.2.0 - Added tactical data to talents for npcs - Swordsmanship mastery and str/dex scaling swap now works with daggers as well as swords - Determination now always takes 15 turns to reach maximum regeneration instead of taking fewer turns with a higher talent level. - Fixed logic of projectile selffire to correctly function as indicated by comments (for web of steel) - Fixed Vapor Blade knocking back even when it misses 1.1.0 - Swordsmanship now completely exchanges strength scaling for dexterity scaling on swords instead of giving -100% str mod and +100% dex mod - Fixed bug that prevented critical hits from occurring (oops!) - Unfetter and Never Give Up now have stamina costs - Harrying Blows fixed to only require Spring Attack to hit once per global turn instead of once per target's turn - Lightspeed Draw now has a fixed cooldown. - Spring Attack now only restores stamina if you are wielding a two-handed weapon - Will to Live changed to provide a health regen bonus equal to a flat amount per percent missing health rather than an amount equal to a percent of missing health. Also, now scales with Willpower. 1.0.0 - Initial Release Barachi -- Playable Race 1.6.7Adds Barachim, a froglike race, as a playable race selectable in all campaigns. They have been adapted from their original appearance in Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup in order to better gel with ToME's gameplay and lore. Barachim are stationary fighters with an innate aptitude for handling the fundamental elements of Fire, Cold, Acid, and Lightning. The more they use a specific element, the more attuned they become to it, increasing their power dramatically as an encounter goes on. They can further use their attunement to the elements to stoke the faint vestige of divine power they still possess, enhancing their ability to use talents; the most powerful barachim can summon a bountiful fountain of water to heal and purify their bodies and drench their enemies. However, they suffer a 30% movement speed penalty when on dry land, relying primarily on their Leapfrog talent to hop around the battlefield and reposition themselves. Barachi are best suited as tanks or elemental casters, staking out a position on the battlefield and steadily building momentum as they manipulate the elements to their advantage, shrugging off their foes' attacks and retaliating with an accelerating barrage of specialised combat abilities that tip the scales increasingly in their favour. Humility and hardship forge truly indomitable wills, adventurer. Through fire and flood, darkness and blood, we remain. This addon is meant to include all of them. Latest Update Notes: Existing Features: Determines how auto-explore and running respond to telepathy, including mouse moves. Regardless of the setting, hostiles seen via telepathy will not halt resting or the Rod of Recall, nor trigger automated talents. Unique or powerful monsters (rank > 3) will always trigger a halt to running when they are spotted via telepathy for any mode except 'Original'. Available modes: • 'Always Viligant' always stops running when a hostile creature is seen via telepathy. • 'Original' is standard ToME auto-explore behavior, which ignores telepathy when running or auto-exploring. • Compatible with ToME v1.6.0 Notes: • Telepathy will not prevent auto-exploring the way normal sight will. If a halt is triggered by telepathy, hitting auto-explore again will move you at least one more square in the direction of the auto-explore path. If in 'Always Viligant' mode and a hostile is within telepathic sight (but not normal sight), you will auto-explore in 1 square per keypress increments. Showing Items Tier in Inventory 1.7.2This addon add a column to inventory which show items Tier and allows sorting to show higher Tier first There is an option under "Game Setting"->UI->Sort Items by Tier by default items which is going to be transmo- and of type scroll (rune,infusion..), tinker or other without Tier specified will be placed at the top of the inventory to avoid occasional transmo of valuables This mod is safe to use without starting new game Bazaar 1.2.5- This addon introduces a new variant of vault, the bazaar, where you don't fight for items, but rather buy (or steal) them. - A central aspect of this addon is a new questline (consisting of 3 follow-up-quests), which introduces the player to the bazaar-system. The questline starts in the Village of Elvala (look out for a special npc - he will lookout for you as well). - I took the idea to this addon from starsapphire (Idea : Markets in dungeons! - http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=42553) ------ Details: ------ (1) Bazaars can appear in most dungeons and outdoor zones, which happen to also generate vaults; chances for regular vault-generation aren't being limited. Bazaars won't appear in the East however - tradesmen haven't made it there yet. (2) Each bazaar contains a shopkeeper and a limited amount of items, which can't be pickuped by normal means (they are chained to the ground). Instead, you either have to pay to be able to pick up such an item - or you try to unchain it (success chances scale with cunning, dexterity and talent points in Heightened Senses and Stealth). Failure to unchain it will trigger a trap which teleports the player (and his party) to a parallel zone ("Mirrorscape"). --> To escape from the Mirrorscape, a special guardian needs to be killed. Alternatively, there are two hidden exit points. The Power of the Guardian scales extremely with the Base-Level of the Zone (Break-Points: Level 20, 30, 50, 70) and the item-quality the trap is based on (unique items are protected by stronger guardians). Killing the guardian allows the player to pick up the item in question. --> Killing the shopkeeper unchains all item in his shop. Shopkeepers are extremely strong, however. (3) Additionally, each shopkeeper has a rare ingredient for sale, and some of them also sell maps, which point to special treasure areas in a variety of zones. To find out about these special goods, chat with the vendor. (Again, treasuremaps point only to zones in the West.) (4)In Elvala starts a questline, which leads to the discovery of a new zone, The Bazaar. Follow-up quests then introduce more in depth to the bazaar system. (5) Most bazaar-vaults will also be generated inside the Infinite Dungeon - most Treasuremaps also work here. (6) From time to time, a caravan will spawn on the overworld map. Encountering a caravan is similar to an "Ambush", however without meeting hostile npcs - instead, two shopkeepers will offer their items. So, How to start? --> Go to Elvala, talk with a nice dwarf! Notable modifications to the core game: - added a new Faction ("Free Traders") Feedback about bugs, improvements, compatibility issues very welcome. Fixed: 24.11. 27.11 1.12 12.12 20.12. - removed an empty event file from the bazaar main zone, as it would trigger an error with the latest ashes update 01.02. A warning: you are trapped inside the mirrorscape until you defeat its guardian or find the exit koboldredux 1.2.3Adds a new race, containing two subraces: the Kobold and the Gremlin. This an edit of an older kobold mod for my own use. The paper doll in that one does not work with weapons or armor in the latest version. This one changes the doll to the Orc. Items Vault 1.7.0Donators/Buyers bonus! Barbarian Evolution for Berserker 1.6.7Adds a new class evolution for Berserker, the Barbarian. As a Barbarian, the Berserker loses the ability to equip body armor, but gains the ability to wield a two-handed weapon in their off-hand. Additionally, they will unlock Technique/Duelist and Technique/Dual Weapons at 1.0 mastery. Finally, each turn the Barbian attacks a foe, they will automatically eneter a blocking stance to deflect damage with their weapons, potentially setting up deadly counter-strikes. New Gem Types 1.5.10Adds several new gem types and attempts to fill in some gaps in Tiered gem colors; also adds the Crystal race. This is a continuation of jayseesee's original addon. It's my hope that the gems in this release are balanced, consistent across tiers, and useful to a variety of different characters. Also hopefully all the Crystal's balance issues have been worked out: it should be an interesting tactical challenge to make best use of its unique mobility, find the right time to exploit its Runic Saturation status clear Stasis talent, and optimal self-imbued gemstone for each dungeon. As always, please let me know if you find any issues in terms of bugs, game mechanics, or interface! Streamlined Early Game 1.5.3Removes the tedium of early-game world map navigation. Choose your Alchemist Elixir quest rewards at character creation, and configure your Rod of Recall to take you directly between pre-Dreadfell points of interest. This add-on does not affect game balance or difficulty. All races and classes with required starting zones must still complete those before they can take advantage of the new Rod of Recall functionality. Steel Monk Evolution for Brawler 1.7.0Adds a new class evolution for Brawler, the Steel Monk. As a Steel Monk, the Brawler can wield a weapon in their hands while still making unarmed attacks. While wielding a weapon, they can gain Greatest Weapon Focus, causing them to follow up their unarmed attacks with weapon attacks and parrying the attacks of their enemies. Taking this prodigy will refund any points in Weapon Mastery, then grant you Weapon Mastery based on your Unarmed Mastery. Trolls 1.1.3Adds Trolls as a player race(two subraces), reworks NPCs a bit. Logical Alchemists 1.5.10Makes alchemists focus on creating elixirs that you are not currently helping them with. Faerie Race 1.5.2This addon adds in a Faerie, or Fey, race into ToME. This addon was originally created by Kaballah, but he hasn't been online in over a year. --- The Fey are an incredibly quick and agile race, however they are incredibly fragile. Fey stats: Fey skills: -Flight -Fey Luck -Fey Speed -Fey Dust --- Dark Faeries are Faeries that have given up much of their natural agility and defense in exchange for bonus offensive potency. Dark Fey stats: Dark Fey skills: -Powers of the Dark -Fey Clone -Vision of the Shadows -Feyd to Black Improved Enemy UI 1.7.21. improve the default shockbolt of enemy, making them brighter and easier to find. Eoland's Vampire Race 1.7.2This is my own spin on a vampire race. It has some large benefits but also some very strong drawbacks. Expanded Shop Inventory 1.3.0Significantly increases the number of items available for purchase in all shops, and allows some higher-quality items. Players can set the number of items with the new option appearing in the 'Game Options/Gameplay' tab. Playable Naloren Race 1.6.7Adds two races, one class, a new town, and a new low level dungeon. Completing a quest to explore the new dungeon unlocks purchasable perks in the town. This quest is the starting quest for the added races, but anyone can access an alternate version of the quest with the same rewards. Look toward the coast east of Last Hope to get started. Available perks (cost varies): Gain the ability to invest in Heavy Armour Training and equip mail(heavy) armor by meeting the requirement with the highest of Constitution and Dexterity (or Strength, as usual). Gain bonus attack and movement speeds and a chance to evade incoming damage while wearing mail(heavy) armor. These values scale with Dex and Con, respectively. Learn (locked or unlocked) a new Psionic/Mindstar combat talent tree. Similar to Wild-Gift/Mindstar mastery, this tree also has a Psiblades sustain. Once learned, you can also pay to boost mastery (as with Mindstar mastery from Zigur). --- Psionic/Mindstar combat: Psiblades: Mind Thorns: Mind Storm: Psionic Balance: --- Races: The Naloren are elven race with an affinity for water who are adept with mail armor, whips and tridents. They are also known for their bountiful spirit and superb flexibility. Spirit of the Tides: Spirited Combat: Cleansing Water: Whitewater: Stats: + 4 Con, +4 Dex, -1 Cun, -1 Str, -1 Mag, +10 life rating, 10% increased global speed, 15% xp penalty. The Freeks are a tribe of Yeeks who broke free from The Way. They are still strong psionics, but their minds have been irreparably shattered. Talents: Unbound Mind: Partition: Hasty: Schism: Stats: --- Added a new Psionic subclass: the Psion. Talents: Survival Psi-Casting Telekinetic Crush: Deal physical damage and stun. Active Aura damage is added to the attack at 3 times the usual power. Stimulation: Increase Con based on combined Wil and Cun. Guiding Star: Puncture: Psionic Striking Kinetic Blast: Deal physical damage and pin. Frozen targets take extra damage and both hits bypass the ice block. Thermal Blast: Deal fire damage and cold damage and freeze. If target is pinned, pull in nearby enemies and freeze them to the ground for a few turns. Charged Blast: Psi Weaving: Altered Talents Quick as Thought: Mindhook: Resonant Focus: Frenzied Focus: Transcendent Telekinesis: Transcendent Electrokinesis: Static Net: Transcendent Pyrokinesis: --- Full details in the forum: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=45418&p=208951#p208951. Point Credits 1.7.2Allows you to spend an unlimited amount of class, generic, stat, category and prodigy points by digging into negative values, as deep as you want to. This addon presents an unique approach to the "I want more (insert type here) points for my character!" problem. Instead of simply adding +N more points to spend each level, it allows you to use as many points as you wish - you'll simply go into negative values if you don't have any points at the moment, effectively "loaning" them. From whom? For what fee? What's the due date? Who knows! Maybe the Eidolon's feeling like doing some commerce, or maybe the divines are smiling at you! All that matters is that all those points are yours to spend *now*! If you want, you can get those elusive talents up to survive in early game and compensate for them later as you level up, eventually balancing out... or get yourself all these cool talents you really wanted to have and learn than the build of your dream will forever be short of 24 generics, 6 class points, inscription and a prodigy. :> No actual penalties for loaning the points are implemented or intended to be implemented. Design premisesWhile there's already a lot of addons that grant characters more points, they are often found suffering from some significant flaws - like surplus points dangling when all desired talents have already been developed, or still insufficient amount of points despite all the extra ones, or an uneven point gain curve when one's struggling with point deficit in the early game but has a large surplus of unused points in the late game, or the difficulty to gauge the unbalanceness of the current build at a given moment of time... and so on. With point loaning, however, you can have as many or as few extra points as you wish, and always know how strongly you deviate from the intended game balance curve. I love this particular approach, and it is my hope that it will appeal to many other players, as well. :> Compatibility
