Addons

Anguished 1.4.8

Adds the Anguished Class with 7 new talent trees and a new elf race; the Soulless. More info on the forums.

Also, the file size is really large because Zerru gave me icons that were 512x512. And I'm too lazy to scale them down.

Anguished 1.4.8

Heartstalker - Psionic Class 1.7.0

Adds Heartstalker, a psionic class themed around the subconscious, as a birth option. Heartstalkers are a stealth-oriented class that start with twin daggers. Confounding foes's perceptions with their strange psychic power, they weaken their victims from afar, unseen and untouchable, before drawing in close for the kill when they feel the time is right. Take care, however, for though your mind is a potent shield against hostile intent, the physical flesh it guards is exceedingly frail.

Heartstalker talent trees include:

Perception: Turn aside prying eyes to hide your presence!
Unconscious Mind: Draw power from the unconscious to erode and destroy the conscious!
Thoughtless Action: Lay cold steel to your foes faster than conscious thought could ever allow!
Biorhythm: Feel and regulate the pulses within yourself and your enemies to create and capitalise on opportunities!
Emotion: Play with and feed upon your victim's emotions to dull their senses while empowering yourself!
Depths (locked): Call upon strange powers from the root of the mind to overwhelm foes!
Memory (locked): Omit, modify, and dupilicate memories; if it is remembered so, then so it was!
Dark Psyche (locked): Dredge up the mind's hidden weakness and Hate to torment your foes with shadowy doppelgangers!

All that we know of ourselves and others is merely a facade; the truth of the mind and the world sleeps where it cannot see.

Heartstalker - Psionic Class 1.7.0

Timeshaper Class 1.7.4

Timeshapers are a variant of Paradox Mage that start off weaker on offence, but stronger on defence.

Timeshaper Class 1.7.4

Werewolves of Maj'Eyal 1.7.6

Weaver Class 1.7.6

Adds Weaver class.

Weaver is a Wilder subclass, a resilient unarmed combatant with emphasis of moving around strategically through their set-up battlefield. Their skill sets revolve around arachnids. Laying webs, injecting enemies with poison, beating enemies with your limbs, creating cocoon for later consumption, and more! Their talents mainly uses equilibrium, have huge equilibrium demand yet heavy hitting, and moderate-long cooldown. Some even needs "special charge" to use. So if you decide to become one of the weaver, make sure to use your talents and resources wisely!

They get access to:
wild-gift: call of the wild (general)
wild-gift: harmony (general) (locked)
technique: combat training (general)
wild-gift: fungus (general)
wild-gift: weaver anatomy (general)
wild-gift: threads and webs (class)
wild-gift: dance of the Weaver (class)
wild-gift: cocoon utilization (Class) (locked)
wild-gift: chitin (class) (locked)
cunning: tactical (class)
cunning: dirty fighting (class) (locked)

---
Here are some brief overview of their unique talent categories.

wild-gift: weaver anatomy
Their arachnid nature starts to take shape, modifying their body and giving them the resilience, agility, wisdom, and abilities of a spider. They will even grow spider legs!

wild-gift: threads and webs
As spider would, they grow accustomed in the art of threads and webs. They can trap and disarm their preys, cut them with threads, and eventually encasing them in a cocoon.

wild-gift: dance of the Weaver
These are some of the technique of prey hunting. Begin with an ambush, revel in "the circle of life", hasten their prey to "sleep" with specialized moves, and disable the prey's most annoying sustains!

wild-gift: cocoon utilization
Cocoon is an important resource for the weaver. The liquefied prey inside a cocoon are very nutritious and versatile to use beside hunger filling. The cocoon can nourish the weaver, converted to chemical weapon, and even storing genetic material for backup and cloning.

wild-gift: chitin
The thick and strong chitin exoskeleton of the weaver. This gives the weaver their grit and protection against enemies with various means.

---
While surviving as a young weaver may be difficult, an adult weaver can instantly decimate smaller preys and render tougher preys unable to act and succumb to weaver's slyness and voracity.

Post Note: We are highly looking forward for you to become one of the weaver and take part on the hunt for preys!. Please leave reviews, comments, and certainly bug reports! Happy hunting, Weaver!

Weaver Class 1.7.6

Class+Race Pack 1.7.4

Adds several new classes and races:
- Bladebender class: Psionic melee fighter that triple-wields daggers and has "meta" talents that can modify other talents.
- Harbinger class: Wilder melee fighter that channels storms through their attacks. More powerful against groups of foes than against single targets. Their class talents do not use resources.
- The Cooler Anorithil class: Revamp of the Anorithil class that must directly alternate between Solar and Lunar talents instead of managing positive/negative energy.
- Zephyr class: Basically a ranged and exclusively lightning-based version of Arcane Blade. Overpowered, not a serious class, and mostly exists to demonstrate instant projectiles.

- Moon Fox race: Race that can radically transform class and generic talents by attaching tails to them.
- Dreamelf race: Overpowered race that can reposition enemies and shorten talent cooldowns.
- Lich race: Undead race that can convert a portion of all their damage into a damage type of their choice.

This addon also makes a couple other changes to make the Zephyr class work:
- Feather Wind is no longer snapshottable, provides less defense but provides both melee and ranged defense, and its maximum encumbrance is no longer spellpower-dependent.

Other than that, the addon tries not to affect existing classes/races/talents. The new classes won't appear on enemies or Adventurers.

You may freely modify and redistribute this addon and its contents, except where otherwise indicated in the Credits section below.

===== Changelog =====

- Changed some talents to mitigate ToME's crit tracking bug ( http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=51477 ). Talents with non-damaging effects that crit (e.g. Countershock, Solar Shield) now try to preserve previous crit state; other affected talents are detailed individually below.

- Crit tracking bug mitigation: Solar Flares explosions now crit individually

A combination of all my celestial addons; Firmamancer, Primal Chosen, Trench Strider, Radiant, the Empyreal fork, and the newly added Bloodtide Cultist.

astralInferno's Celestial Oddities 1.7.6

Greenwatch 1.7.4

Two new Wilder subclasses emerge: the Woods Walker and the Anamage.

--== Woods Walker ==--

Favored by wood, wind, and earth, the Woods Walker is most at home wandering the fields and forests of Maj'Eyal. While the Woods Walker brings both archery and mindstar options to the mix, their primary strength lies in their connection to Nature.
Playstyle: Either ranged, melee, or a mix of the two. The Woods Walker doesn't enjoy being surrounded by foes, but thankfully possesses many different ways to keep this from happening. They do not start off as followers of Zigur, but their skills have a definite anti-magic bent.

Class Talent Trees:
Favor of the Wood - The forest follows you wherever you go, weakening and damaging your foes
Favor of the Wind - The blessing of Eyal's air speeds you while hindering those who would harm you
Favor of the Earth - The stones give themselves for your survival
Natural Archer - Your connection to Nature steers and empowers your archery
Natural Companions (locked) - Befriend and train a forest beast to fight alongside you
Living Arrows (locked, high-level) - Nature itself indwells your shots
Spellhunter (antimagic, locked, high-level) - Ruthlessly track and annhilate the arcane

Generic Talent Trees:
Combat Training
Survival
Call of the Wild
Harmony (locked)
Fungus (locked)
Mindstar Mastery
Walking Thistle (locked, high-level) - Your mindstars are as living thorns to your enemies

--== Anamage ==--

A curious case, the Anamage was once an arcane user, but has experienced a dramatic shift, coming to belief that all magic began with Nature and must be returned to her. The Anamage starts as a follower of Zigur, having fervently sworn off the arcane.
Playstyle: Geomancy. The Anamage beseeches Nature's help, casting natural spells powered by equilibrium. Anamages cannot use arcane equipment, but have learned to reclaim staves, purging them of arcane influence.

Class Talent Trees:
Blood of the Vine - Deal Nature damage through terrain manipulation
Bones of the Earth - Invoke the stones, hindering and damaging foes
Acts of Nature - Summon long-lasting, massively destructive Acts of Nature
Hermetecism - The art of brewing potions did not begin with the alchemists...
Favor of the Wood (locked) - The forest follows you wherever you go, weakening and damaging your foes
Favor of the Wind (locked) - The blessing of Eyal's air speeds you while hindering those who would harm you
Favor of the Earth (locked) - The stones give themselves for your survival
Natural Magic (locked, high-level) - Nature empowers your natural casting, enabling you to nullify arcane powers
Catastrophe (locked, high-level) - Violent cataclysms rage around you at Nature's foes

Generic Talent Trees:
Survival
Call of the Wild
Harmony (locked)
Fungus
Antimagic
Redemption of Magic - Reclaim magical staves and bend their powers to Nature's will

Enjoy!

Greenwatch 1.7.4

The Hammer of Urh'Rok: Part I 1.7.4

The Hammer of Urh'Rok, Part I
Spearhead the demonic invasion of Maj'Eyal in this high-speed mini-campaign.

((This Addon requires the Ashes of Urh'rok DLC))

In this timeline, the Scourge from the West died after using the Demonic Orb of Many Ways, giving the demons everything they needed to get through the planetary shield. As a Bringer of Doom in service to the demonic invasion, you will fight your way across a dozen new zones, uncover mysteries, pillage cities, join evil cults, and bring ruin to the land of Maj'Eyal.
The Hammer campaign is shorter than Age of Ascendancy, shorter than Embers of Rage. To provide the whole ToM'E experience in a quicker time-frame, the player levels up much faster, and enemies drop noticeably more treasure. Unlike the Arena, the classic features of multi-level dungeon zones, rare enemies, and so on are still present.

Future updates will bring better art, more variety, and all sorts of content.

Now with 4 pieces of art by rexorcorum!

Nur Kit 1.7.0

Calligrapher 1.7.4

Adds the Calligrapher, a short-ranged mage class that uses ceaseless aggression and high mobility to debilitate their enemies in a whirl of bloodied ink.
The goal is to make a class where instantly dashing into the middle of a pile of rares and laying about with AoEs is the correct way to play, rather then elaborate suicide.
They primarily deal darkness damage, with secondary fire and blight elements.
They use the brand-new Ink resource, notable for having a hard cap of 100 Ink. Ink is restored by killing high ranked enemies, or by damaging yourself with Blood Distillation.
Aside from the usual unlocked Combat Training and Survival, Calligrapher uses completely unique trees. It has 4 unlocked class trees, one locked class tree and one generic tree.

Planned changes:
-I have an idea for another locked class category
-I might add another generic category as well
-A few of the sustains might have particle effects added to them, like Divine Cipher
-It is distantly possible that I might add sound effects to the class. I'm generally not a fan of ToME's sound design though, so this is unlikely.

I like to think that I've been fairly thorough in playtesting, but there are probably still bugs and exploits lurking.
If you run across any bugs then please report them. Include the relevant lua error and whether you have any other addons active.
There shouldn't be any other addon conflicts, since I've made liberal use of shortnames and haven't superloaded anything destructively, but it's still possible that there are some.
I do still recommend having as few non-essential addons active as possible, but this addon shouldn't affect even non-Calligrapher playthroughs due to the class being disabled on random enemies.

Doctornull's Classes Reloaded 1.7.4

Contains some new hybrid classes: Ascetic, Blood Mage, Creep, Flenser, Striker, Gravitic Infantry, Storm Warden, Transcendent Fist, Vector, and a few others.

Details & discussion here:
http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=38670

Yakri: I'm making a couple changes suggested in the mod thread, and testing for errors/incompatibilities in current version of TOME.
I don't actually know any lua, so we'll see how much I can actually get done.

All credit goes to Null, and FailPail for creating the creepfix.

Changes:
Added Techniques/Combat Veteran to transcendent Fist.

Light From Below 1.7.6

Below Eyal, something is calling. Deep in the tunnels, past the dwarven fortress of Iron Gate, you have stumbled upon a Light...

This addon adds a new campaign set in the depths below the Iron Throne, during an unknown time period.

Light From Below 1.7.6

Mage Knight 1.7.0

Adds the Mage Knight metaclass, and its six sub-classes.

Forum discussion thread: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=48329

Phoenix Knight: Powerful warriors who blast their foes with solar fire while calling healing light upon their allies. Their solar fire attacks will strike as either fire or light damage, whichever will hit their target the hardest, and their potent healing and cleansing abilities make them tough opponents to bring down.

Mind Knight: Psionic warriors who strengthen their mental abilities by tapping into their inner magic. Adept at telekinesis, telepathy, and teleportation, they are mobile scouts who can quickly get a lay of the land and sow chaos among their foes with physical and mental debilitations, or even outright compulsions.

Storm Knight: Swift skirmishers who rely on extreme mobility and powerful lightning magic to strike their foes down and avoid reprisals. Extremely fast and difficult to pin down, they can cast entire enemy units into disarray with their wealth of area attacks. All mage knights can cast while they fight, but experienced storm knights are also able to fight while they move.

Earth Knight: The heaviest of infantry, earth knights hammer their foes with physical and natural forces while shielding themselves with the power of the earth. Highly resilient in the face of any attack, earth knights provide a slow and steady offense supported by powerful gemstone shields and the endurance of a living mountain.

Sea Knight: Healers first, fighters second, battle mages a somewhat distant third, while sea knights lack the raw offensive power of other mage knights, they make up for it with amazing personal defense and recovery abilities. And though their attacks may be individually weak, like the sea itself, they are able to wear down even the strongest defenses eventually, eroding their opponents away with gradually strengthening spells, making them terrors in a battle of attrition.

Mana Knight: Experimenting pioneers who do amazing things with raw magical energy. They have the most conventional magical training of the mage knights, even if they sometimes put it to unconventional use. Their arcane attacks can overwhelm the powers of other spellcasters, and while they lack the scope of power of full-fledged archmages, they are masters of the fundamentals of the various arcane schools.

Mage Knight 1.7.0

Faetouched Collection 1.7.0

In the realm of Titania, the Midsummer Queen, there live the Faeries, mystical beings as graceful as they are fickle. Drama and mayhem spring forth wherever they walk, and those whose lives they touch are forever changed, their fates intertwined with that of the mysterious Faesong. Luminously-beautiful and deadly, those who learn to ride its mercurial ebbs and flows shall wield power far beyond mortal magic.

New paths opened by the Fae currently include:

Charmed (class): Ordinary creatures drawn haplessly into the faeries' mischief. Adapt to their capricious will and unleash havoc upon the battlefield in a chaotic flash of mist-woven steel!

Wood Sprite (race): Eyal-born faeries of wood and wind, mischievous and mobile. Unburdened by heavy armour, fly circles around your witless adversaries before sending them peacefully to their graves in a gentle Midsummer Dream!

Moonchild (class): Unfortunate souls infused with the faeries' magic from birth, bent by its will as they bend it to theirs. Shattered between Spring's slothful light and Autumn's merciless chill, find peace within your broken halves to dominate any who oppose you with peerlessly destructive and illusive magic!

Fetch (race): Wretched imitations of mortals created by and for the faeries' fancy, forever yearning to be whole. Shatter your body and soul to shift your identity and avoid danger, and mimic the talents of others to make yourself at last complete!

Additionally includes a new starting scenario with original art, music, and dialogue, 7 new artifacts, 6 new enemy mobs, and an unlockable Fae-Drake category for Wyrmic. The realm of the Fae is ever-changing, and new paths may yet open in the future!

Look not with your eyes, adventurer. The beauty you see hides terror beyond reckoning.

Doctornull's Ego Pack 1.1.6

Not complete. Please don't use yet unless you want to beta-test an incomplete addon.

Contains replacements for existing egos.

Summary:
- Rebalancing pretty much all item type egos.
- Some replacements, some removals, a few additions.

Doctornull's Ego Pack 1.1.6

Discordant class (and friends) - enemy edition 1.6.7

This is a fork of Rukaneo's Discordant and Friends, itself a fork of Vectorinox's Discordant and Friends. This fork removes the brakes on the original addon by allowing enemies to get all non-customer classes from this addon, and marks some of the most egregiously broken (on enemies) talents as enemy-unusable. Each class should now be a challenge to work around on enemies, rather than being literally unkillable (notably primitive and discordant).

----------- Original from Vectorinox
Descriptions

Add Discordant as playable psionic subclass. A psionic tank with death radius around them (think of Mindrot, but less sucky). Wins battle through attrition, melts trash mobs just by standing. Can also spam tele-frags if you feel like it.

Add Kudzu as playable wilder subclass. Invasive, annoying, and hard to get rid of. Master of crowd controls and area denials. Cover the world with fungus, lichens, moss, and kudzus.

Add Scorpion as playable rogue subclass. Stealthy brawler with poison fist. Pull in your enemy and dethrone them with chain of combos.

Add Critic as playable afflicted subclass. High-risk, high-reward, critical-centric class that use feedback pool as life. Overpower your enemy with overwhelming amount of Gestures, or die from receiving too much criticism.

Add Colossus as playable race. Artificial giant constructed by dwarves, has the same start location as dwarf. Durable race with some drawbacks. Also like gold.

This is a practice addon intended for personal use, but thank you if you decided to check it out anyway.

Bonus class: Primitive, master of bump-attack *joke class* -------------

[
This is my first ever addon I just simply updated Vectorinox's discordant patch for all the classes to 1.7.0 (espeically for all you critic users) as well giving an a slight buff to Scorpions hook
(lowered the cool down ) . I give full credits to Vectorinox for making this wonderful addon. So please enjoy. So I may not be able to fix the bugs that may occur in the future ]

Discordant class (and friends) - enemy edition 1.6.7

Damblis Race 1.7.6

Adds the Damblis, a race of humans developed during the Age of Allure, though not as well known as the Higher. During the heights of human and halfing power, many nobles sought entertainments of all variety: comical, martial... sensual. One particualr noble house began to curate beauty and charisma among their subjects, using any means they could, leading to the creation of the Damblis humans. While the details of the process that led to their refinement are unknown, the results were unquestionable: a breed of humans possessing unmatched beauty and charm, able to beguile any who so much as looked upon them. Some say their allure goes beyond mere physical beauty and swear they entrance others by caressing their inner thoughts with mental powers beyond understanding.

1. Dressed to Kill: Once per turn when an enemy sees you they must save against your mindpower or suffer mind damage. The damage can not be reduced by mental save and can be a mental critical hit. Your mindpower for this check is boosted based on your equipped rings, necklace, and belt. Enemies of rank Normal and lower will simply die instead of taking damage.

2. Stunning Looks: Enemies within a cone with a radius equal to your vision range must make a physical save against your mindpower or become stunned for several turns.

3. Irresistible: Enemies who can see you but are not adjacent to you suffer from a stacking affliction which reduces their saves, defense, and resistance to all damage.

4. Take it Off: All enemies who can see you when you sustain this talent will suffer from talent failure chance so long as they can still see you and you continue to sustain the talent. Requires a belt.

    Is: a spell
Description: Summon up a rush of wind to move a target. You immediately propel a target up to 10 tiles (hostile targets can resist this as knockback and receive a physical save, but may be knocked off-balance), with a burst of wind dealing 108 Physical damage to all enemies in a radius of 3 around both the target's starting and ending points. If the target doesn't move the wind hits their starting position twice.

If you target yourself, you can channel the wind to hasten your movements. For the next 10 turns you gain 4 free moves per turn.

This talent can be triggered by Eldritch Combat. When it is, you don't move anyone, but you get the free movements and both wind blasts will center on your position.

Extended mechanics information below. To hide this section, disable the Tooltips Helpers option in the Mage Knight Plus tab of the Game Options menu.

Free Moves: You may move without spending energy the listed number of times. Free movement can be gained in two ways. Normal free moves allow a certain number of free moves per turn, but each free movement also lowers the duration of the effect by one. Bonus moves can be spent freely during the effect duration.

If you target your own position, you will instead shoot up into the clouds and strike back down at a random location within ten times the normal range (but always at least 15 tiles where possible). This increases the talent's Essence cost to 50 and causes the dazing Storm damage to affect a radius of 4 around you end point.

This talent can be triggered by Eldritch Combat. When it is, you teleport up into the sky and back down to your original position, doubling the damage and duration and affecting a radius of 2 around you.

Description: You unleash a bolt of lightning, dealing 10 Storm damage to all foes in a line. Damage improves with your Spellpower.

This attack comes with a blast of drenching rain, reducing the target's stun, cold, and lightning resistance by 30% for 1 turns.

Your control over the elements of the storm is absolute; Storm Invocation talents will not harm your allies. Storm damage deals both lightning and physical damage (the latter from wind, thunder, and the like), in proportion based on their relative effectiveness (that is, you'll cause more damage of the type that would deal more damage, after accounting for resistances and damage bonuses).

This spell can be triggered by Eldritch Combat.

Spell / Storm Warrior1.00
  • Effective talent level: 1.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You surround yourself with supernatural winds, granting you resistance to the forces of the storm and freedom of movement. You increase your Lightning and Pin Resistance by 20%, your Stun Resistance by 10%, and your Lightning Resistance Cap by 6%. You also slow incoming projectiles by 8%. Resistances and projectile slowdown scale with Dexterity. The defensive style of a Storm Knight favors avoiding, rather than resisting, direct physical attacks, so you also take a -2% penalty on your Physical resistance and caps.

Your wards are also more efficient. If you have any leftover damage negation at the start of your turn, and you are currently suffering from a Ward Burn effect, the leftover negation will pre-emptively go to reduce the pending damage.

  • Effective talent level: 3.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You move and fight like the wind. You gain 5% crit chance (physical and spell) and 25% movement speed. When an attack misses you, you have a 10% chance to counterattack, either with your physical weapons for melee attacks or with a bolt of lightning for ranged attacks. These bonuses scale with Dexterity.
    Storm Skirmisher
3/5
  • Effective talent level: 0.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You avoid attacks with lightning speed, not only gaining a 0 bonus to Defense, but allowing you to dodge the undodgeable. As a reaction, you have a 0% chance to dodge any attack made against you, ignoring all damage and detrimental effects on a success. This triggers any effects that would normally trigger on a missed attack. Values scale with Dexterity.

Extended mechanics information below. To hide this section, disable the Tooltips Helpers option in the Mage Knight Plus tab of the Game Options menu.

Reactions: The first time you receive damage or detrimental effects from a given enemy in a given turn, you have a chance to trigger a Reaction. The chance of success is equal to the combined chances of all talents and effects that grant a reaction chance. If you are capable of multiple different types of reactions, the one that applies will be determined randomly from among them, proportionate to their independent chances. The effects of a Reaction will apply to all damage and detrimental effects (where applicable) caused by that attacker during that turn.

0/5
  • Effective talent level: 0.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You are a whirlwind of death, moving among your foes and striking them down in a blur of violent motion. Every time you move, you make an attack against all adjacent opponents for 12% weapon damage (this scales with your attack speed). You can only attack a given foe in this way once per turn, and you can't attack a target you already made a melee attack against previously in the turn. If you know the Dancing Weapon talent tree, your Dancing Weapon attacks won't interfere with these attacks (though they can interfere with Dancing Weapon attacks, as with any attack).

In addition, your combat speed increases by 0%.

    Effects scale with Dexterity.

Generic Talents

Technique / Weapons Master1.00
  • Effective talent level: 5.0
    Use mode: Activated
    Essence cost: 30
    Range: 10
    Cooldown: 10
    Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Weapon (83% of a turn)
Description: Focusing your power, you leap to a chosen square in a range of 10. If your chosen square is occupied, you land in a random square adjacent to the target and attack it, dealing 150% weapon damage. Otherwise, if there are any enemies adjacent to your target square, you attack one at random.

If the target dies as a result of this attack, you are able to chain additional Leaping Strikes at new targets. The talent doesn't go on cooldown, and for the next ten turns you can use Leaping Strike without spending Essence. However, each sequential use lowers all damage inflicted (including from procs) to 70% of normal. This penalty stacks with multiple sequential uses. In addition, you cannot target an open space with this talent while chaining; you can only use it to target new enemies.

The special effect your fighting style applies to Eldritch Combat is increased by 40%.

If this attack triggers Eldritch Combat, it will always trigger a Bolt attack, when that spell is available.
    Leaping Strike

    Essence cost: 30
    Range: melee/personal
    Cooldown: 10
    Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Weapon (83% of a turn)
Description: You atttack all targets in an arc with your weapon or weapons doing 57% damage. If you hit, the target suffers a negative effect for 2 turns.

With a two-handed weapon, you go for the face, blinding the target.

With a weapon and shield, you follow up with a powerful bash, stunning the target.

With a single weapon (or unarmed), you make precisely disabling strikes, disarming and silencing the target.

With dual weapons, you make a disorienting barrage of attacks, confusing the target.

If this attack triggers Eldritch Combat, it will always trigger a Wave attack, when that spell is available.
    Sweeping Strike

  • Effective talent level: 0.0

    Essence cost: 30
    Range: melee/personal
    Cooldown: 10
    Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Weapon (83% of a turn)
Description: You assault all targets around you for 57% weapon damage. Your attacks also impede their combat efforts for 2 turns, lowering some of their stats by 11%, depending on your weapon type. Chance of success is based on physical power.

If you are wielding a two-handed weapon, you lower their resistances to all damage.

If you are wielding a weapon and shield, you lower all of their damage percentages.

If you are wielding a single weapon (or unarmed), you lower their Accuracy, Defense, Saves, and Powers.

If you are wielding dual weapons, you lower their global speed.

If this attack triggers Eldritch Combat, it will always trigger a Burst attack, when that spell is available.
    Whirlwind Strike

  • Effective talent level: 0.0
    Use mode: Activated
    Essence cost: 30
    Range: 5
    Cooldown: 10
    Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Weapon (83% of a turn)
Description: You use your magic to physically attack a distant foe, in much the same way as with the Arcane Strike talent, except instead of using your power to wield your weapon at a distance, you use it to pull your target in close and then attack it twice for 57% weapon damage. You keep whatever magic you used to pull your target active for a time, hampering their mobility for 2 turns and forcing them to target you. If this attack kills your target, the surge of victory empowers your magic, allowing you to hamper the mobility of all enemies in radius 2 instead.

If you wield a two-handed weapon, hampered targets are pulled towards you one tile per turn.

If you wield a weapon and shield, hampered targets are pinned.

If you wield a single weapon (or are unarmed), hampered targets have their movement speed halved.

If you wield dual weapons, you have a 50% chance each turn to force the target to move one tile towards you; this costs the target time as if it spent a turn moving.

Regardless of the exact results, hampering is resisted as a physical pin effect.

If this attack triggers Eldritch Combat, it will always trigger a Blast attack, when that spell is available.

Technique / Combat Casting1.00
  • Effective talent level: 1.0
    Use mode: Sustained
    Range: melee/personal
    Cooldown: 0
    Travel Speed: instantaneous
Usage Speed: Instant (0% of a turn)
Description: The iconic power of the Mage Knights, you channel the raw energy of your magic outwardly as you fight, saving the effort of taking active control of your power and allowing it to flow freely. Your channeled power is visible as a brightly colored aura around you.

Your first successful melee attack each turn grants a 25% chance to trigger one of various Mage Knight talents instead of dealing the bonus damage. This reduces the cooldown of the talent to one-third normal and the Essence cost to one-fifth normal. The talent operates at two-thirds normal power. Triggered talents are determined randomly, but with prioritization based on how useful they are in the moment (spells that restore life are more likely to trigger when low on life, spells that attack multiple foes are more likely to trigger the more foes ar around, etc). Talents of higher talent level are generally prioritized over those of lower level.

If you are wielding a two-handed weapon, triggered talents operate at full power.

If you are using a shield, when you trigger a talent, you also have a 50% chance to automatically Block. Defensive talents have their priority increased when using a shield.

If you are using two weapons, when you trigger a talent, you have a 50% chance to trigger the talent a second time at no further resource cost.

If you are using a single one-handed weapon (or unarmed), your chance of triggering a talent is increased by half.

Note that since Essence users rely on channeling minimal amounts of mana, but are able to combine them with mental and physical effort to produce potent magical effects, they don't receive the normal staff accuracy bonus. Instead, when wielding a staff, they deal bonus damage of their favored energy type equal to one-third their Magic stat plus two per point their Accuracy exceeds their target's Defense (short staves do not change this calculation).
    Eldritch Combat
1/5
  • Effective talent level: 1.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You have placed runic wards on your skin that protect you from harm. Your wards can shrug off 3% of all incoming damage. Levels in the Thick Skin talent will deduct from this bonus.

Your wards also rejuvenate energy quickly, reflected in a 3 bonus to life regeneration.

Since your wards are runic in nature, their energy rejuvenation also applies to your inscriptions. Each turn you have a 2% chance to lower the cooldown of all of your runes and infusions by 1 and remove their saturation effects. Some of the energy absorbed by your wards also goes to facilitate this, increasing the chance by the percentage of your maximum life that has been lost (so if you're at half life, the chance would be increased by 50% to 3%).

    Values scale with Willpower.

Extended mechanics information below. To hide this section, disable the Tooltips Helpers option in the Mage Knight Plus tab of the Game Options menu.

Damage Shrug: You reduce all incoming damage by the listed percentage. This only applies to the damage that gets through to your life.

Phoenix Knight conjure talons of flame to hold their weapons. Mind Knights wield them telekinetically. Storm Knights manipulate currents of wind to wield them. Earth Knights control the wood, stone, and metal that makes them up directly. Sea Knights wield them in cohesive tendrils of water. Mana Knights project magical hands that wield them.

Regardless of the method, this lets you attack an enemy at range 5 for 45% weapon damage. In addition, if the attack hits, it is guaranteed to trigger Eldritch Combat, and the prioritization factor increases by a power of 0.5, making the talents most useful in your current situation more likely to trigger.

This talent also passively enhances your ability to channel power through your aura and weapons. While Eldritch Combat is active, you now shed light bright enough to illuminate all tiles in a 3 radius and reduce the Stealth and Invisibility of enemies within that radius by 0. Your melee attacks passively deal 1 additional damage of your favored energy type. Stealth and Invisibility reduction scale with Willpower and bonus damage scales with the better of Spellpower or Mindpower.

  • Effective talent level: 0.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: Essence is fundamentally a combination of Stamina, Psi, and Mana, combining physical, mental, and magical reserves into a single pool of energy. Marshalling all your energies together takes effort, but you are able to recover substantially faster than most. Your Essence regeneration improves by 0.0, scaling strongly with Willpower.

In addition, when you pass a turn during combat (default hotkey 5) the brief rest combined with the high adrenaline allows you more opportunity to recover. You regain 0 life (based on your current life regeneration with a cap based on maximum life), 0 Essence (based on your current Essence regeneration), and have a 10% chance to lower the cooldown of all non-fixed cooldown talents by 1. You also gain an additional 0 Surge value that turn. This only works while there are enemies in your vicinity; if you're in a safe location, you don't have enough adrenaline pumping to receive the benefit. These values also scale with Willpower.

Extended mechanics information below. To hide this section, disable the Tooltips Helpers option in the Mage Knight Plus tab of the Game Options menu.

Surge Value: Each turn, you gain the listed surge value. If this causes your surge value to exceed 100, your surge value lowers by 100 and you lower the duration of all detrimental effects upon you by 1.

  • Effective talent level: 1.0
    Use mode: Passive
Description: You are trained in the use of all melee weapons. You get a 16 bonus to Accuracy, 4% critical chance, and a 20% bonus to weapon damage with any melee weapons. These bonuses are increased by 25% when wielding a two-handed weapon.

You also receive a +30 bonus to Physical Power.

When you first learn this talent, you may substitute Magic for all other abilities for purposes of weapon damage and weapon requirements. You are also able to make two attacks per round regardless of fighting style, as follows:
-When armed with two weapons, they may both be one-handed weapons. For each dagger that you wield, your offhand damage modifier increases by 25% and your combat speed by 10% (if you wield a single dagger or a dagger with a shield this modifier will apply to the bonus attack from them as well).
-When armed with a two-handed weapon, any time you attack you make a second attack for 25% normal damage.
-When armed with a shield, any time you attack you also execute a shield bash for 50% normal damage.
-When armed with a single weapon (or unarmed) any time you attack you also make an unarmed strike for 50% normal damage. When fully unarmed you get a +20% bonus to your combat speed.

The damage bonuses don't stack with those from other mastery talents. The Accuracy and critical bonuses don't apply if you know the Combat Accuracy talent or if you have a Steam pool.

Light Armor: 8% Physical Resistance, 16 Defense*, 6% chance to shrug off physical critical hits.
Massive Armor: 16% additional Armor Hardiness, 8 Armor, 6% reduced critical multiplier when receiving physical critical hits.
Heavy Armor: Receives half of all above benefits.

*The Defense bonus will be converted to a 4 point Damage Mitigation if your existing Dexterity and Defense are low enough that it does not seem like you have sufficient investment in Defense for it to be a useful form of defense for you.

The effects do not apply if you know the Heavy Armour Training or Light Armour Training, or Thick Skin talents, or if you have a Steam pool.

When you first learn this talent, you may substitute Magic for all other abilities for purposes of armor requirements, and you gain the ability to wear all forms of armor.
