This addon shows inventory items in dark grey if they have a power source incompatible with your character.

Arcane items are greyed out for antimagic characters, and arcane disrupting items are greyed out for characters with arcane abilities. Never accidentally break your spells again!

Various enhancements to escort quest NPCs:
- Escorts now follow the player when not close to the portal.
- Escorts occasionally say useful things.
- Escorts heal 5% of their maximum health per turn.

Nekarcos made this incredible addon, but was inactive for quite a bit, only having recently returned (recently as of 5/29/2023). I just wanted to play on the most recent version of ToME when I played it, so this is just a port of OotS to ToME 1.7.4. I will NOT be adding new content, and all credit goes to Nekarcos, who actually made this. If you find any bugs, please report them to me.

I mostly tested OotS with EoR, Cults, and Ashes enabled, but it should work fine without them.

This is a highly extensive "unofficial DLC" that takes the summonable creatures from the Summoner class and turns them into fully-talented, highly-comprehensive classes with their story and unique events.
This pack features the ranged summons: Hydra, Fire Drake, and Flamespitter Ritch.

Disclaimer: This is NOT a full release. There WILL be errors and unpredictable behavior. I am patching things out actively, so play with discretion and send as much feedback as possible to the forum thread to accelerate the completion process!
Details:
This modifies the "Age of Ascendency" story, as you are no longer human, but rather, a natural, spiritual being. This means several conversations and services may become unavailable or even change to behave in new ways.
The plot's progression is mostly unchanged, but now you are operating under the command of an ominous individual known only as "The Summoner". He sends you off to do tasks-- But in the end, it is up to you to decide whether you will work cooperatively with him or not.
This was a labour of love, and I would want nothing more than for you to enjoy a new flavor of experience-- And a new type of challenge and difficulty in Tales of Maj'Eyal.

This addon replaces ToME's map display with one that's more in-line with other games. You can drag the mouse to scroll, use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, and left-click to set the currently viewed area (instead of accidentally traveling there, which can still be done via right-click menu). It also shows the viewport rectangle on the map, and if your computer is powerful enough, you can even show the actual terrain instead of the confusing color blocks, or make the walls red to easily find paths you have yet to explore. The player and zone exits are also displayed as icons on the map. Additionally, if you travel via the map and stop unexpectedly (i.e., you ran into your golem), a friendly dialog will pop up asking if you'd like to continue to your destination.

This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack improves visibility of status effects by adding particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)
Note: Unfortunately the only time that addons can get the possible escort types is after the random escort quest is assigned.
This means escorts added by other addons will not be available for selection, but will still be possible to find using the random selection.

Gives every character a very simple (and very dangerous) talent: take exactly one step forward.

Meant to make life much easier when playing on a controller / Steam Deck / toaster.

If no hostiles are visible, will use the same targeting rules as auto-explore.

If hostiles are visible, will step towards the targeted hostile. If the targeted hostile is adjacent, they will be bump-attacked.

This means you will walk towards or attack either:
1) the hostile most recently explicitly targeted with this ability
2) the closest *or* most highly-ranked hostile (this is configurable in the options menu)
If multiple hostiles are adjacent, the bump prefers the one you most recently attacked, and otherwise uses a configurable tiebreak.

By default, steps will ask for confirmation, unless you enable "Automatic accept target" in your ToME settings (ctrl+shift+p by default) or disable "Confirm before stepping" in the addon options.

There are several other options available in the in-game Game Options menu under "[One Step Forward]".

Heavily inspired by the auto-attack system in Path of Achra (which was in turn heavily inspired by ToME).

Please note: The author is a software engineer, but as an experiment this was heavily vibe-coded so do not be surprised if your game explodes.
