This addon replaces ToME's floating combat text:
- Shows the damage type (lightning, etc.) as icons or text!
- Text moves in a consistent direction and should be much easier to read than ToME's default for a variety of reasons.
- Can group damage for an entire player turn, or by every action taken - choose how much information you want to see!
- Various font sizes to choose from
- Various font coloring options (color by major damage type, use the default red / green, etc.)
- Text duration can be changed to fit your play style.

Этот аддон заменяет всплывающий текст боя в игре:
- Показывает тип урона (молния и тд) иконкой или текстом!
- Текст движется последовательно и его проще читать
- Можно группировать урон за весь ход или на каждое деймтаие
- различные размеры шрифтов
- несколько вариантов окраски шрифтов
- длительность всплывающего текста может быть изменена вручную

Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Features:

  • Start with a new class, the Doombringer! These avatars of demonic destruction charge into battle with massive two-handed weapons, cutting swaths of firey devastation through hordes of opponents. Armed with flame magic and demonic strength, they delight in fighting against overwhelming odds, softening up the crowd with waves of fire, then feeding on the flames and suffering of their surroundings to stay alive while quickly reducing any group to a pile of ash and gore.
  • Unlock a new class, the Demonologist, with an all-new item enhancement mechanic! Bearing a shield and the magic of the Spellblaze itself, these melee-fighting casters can grow demonic seeds from their fallen enemies. Imbue these seeds onto your items to gain a wide array of new talents and passive benefits, and summon the demons within them to fight on your side! Ever looked at a gigantic demon-cursed minotaur and wished it was on your side for once? One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Adds Mummies as a new type of undead that cripple their enemies and overcome any obstacle.
They start out weak to fire, but quickly overcome that.

Embalming increases Strength and Willpower
Entangle wraps up an enemy, slowing them, with a low cooldown.
Inevitability wears away at the resistances of your enemies as your own resistances mount.
Uniquely, they have a small secondary racial tree that removes detrimental effects.

Mummies begin in their own starter zone, a low-level dungeon reminiscent of both the Blighted Scar and the Elven Ruins.

Mummies are initially locked, and unlock by defeating the Mummy Lord

Adds two new shadowy Celestial classes.
First is the Moon Paladin, who fight using two weapons and the two moons.
Second is the Starslinger, who imbues their shots with the power of the stars.
Also two new subraces that start in the Far East, regardless of class.
Mardrop Humans and Star Elves.

Now with a new starting zone: Save the Sunwall crops from a worm infestation.
New second starting zone: The Tenebrous Glades.
Travel to the barely made training camp of Midnight via a jumpgate on the west side of the Gates of Morning, then head southwest.
The shadows summoned to conceal the camp have become restless and dangerous. Quiet them down and investigate what is working them up.

Currently there are nine new categories.
Celestial/Night: A utility based generic category that generates negative celestial energies.

Better Sounds Mod 1.6.0

Demonologist: ReSeeded 1.6.7

A full redesign of the Demonologist class, featuring rewritten flavour text, enhanced QoL, some enhanced visuals, and many, many balance and design changes to talents intended to reduce tedium and enhance gameplay diversity while holding true to Demonologist's core gameplay as a heavily-armored melee/caster hybrid.
(Note that this addon requires Ashes of Urh'rok to be both installed and active to work, and will fail to load otherwise.)

Features include:

An entirely new talent tree: Bloodbinding, replacing Combat Techniques and Combat Veteran. Lay down hexing circles to strip foes' strength and restore your stamina, and go for their throats with a deadly gap closer that strikes without fail!

No more tedious sustain management: Osmosis Shield, Rain of Fire, and similar talents have all been reworked so that they only drain your Vim when they directly take effect, preserving their functionality while removing the need to manually toggle them off and on to conserve your limited reserves of Vim!

Enhanced demon seed management: Demon seeds are now automatically replaced when you acquire a new seed of the same type but greater level, and cleaning all the outdated seeds from your inventory is as quick and easy as pushing a button! Seed descriptions are now more verbose, giving a short explanation of what equipped talents actually do!

Rebalanced and redesigned talents: Every single one of Demonologist's unique trees and talents has been given a revamp to improve midfight utility, reduce tedious prebuffing, streamline awkward mechanics, focus their damage output, and provide more sensible scaling that rewards investment in specific aspects of the class! Poor talents have been buffed, broken talents fixed, and centralisation has been moved away from just a few extremely strong skills to a wide array of potential build options, all while preserving the class's core ethos as a spellslinging melee fighter that refuses to die no matter how much punishment it takes!

Massively redesigned demon seeds: Ring seed effects are much more diverse, and all other seeds have been rebalanced as well, with improved or all-new effects on the vast majority of seeds. Demon seed talents have been given the same balance and design pass as those of the core class, giving enhanced functionality while maintaining the same wild variety of diabolical techniques to respin the class's basic gameplay!

Dance of the Edge 1.6.7

Introduces the Blade Dancer, a dual-wielding Warrior subclass whose style revolves around shifting between different forms ("dances") in order to prevail in any combat situation. Each dance is quite powerful, becoming more so with more Talent Point investment, but only a limited number of dances can be active at once.

The Blade Dancer's key trait is flexibility. There are myriad ways to build this character, all of them with great potential for entertaining gameplay.

Class Features:


Eight New Talent Trees - Five core dances: Dance of the Moons, Storm, Torrent, Mountain, and Leaf. Each dance improves aspects of your character, as well as granting access to powerful techniques while active. Spread your talent points across multiple dances, or focus on just one or two. Other Talent trees allow you to improve your dances or even mesh them together into deadly combinations.

Unique starting Area - Human, Elf, Halfling, and Dwarf Blade Dancers will start in a new, unique starting area, with a couple of novel critters and a new boss at the end.

Class-Specific Quest - Upon finishing their starting area, Human, Elf, Halfling, and Dwarf Blade Dancers will gain access to a class-specific sidequest that runs parallel to the main game. Completing this quest grants access to a nice peice of equipment.

Auto-Scumming - Many of the dances raise your core stats while active. To keep the player from constantly ducking in and out of menus, stat requirements for gear and talent-learning will automatically adjust to accomodate those dances that are learned, but currently inactive.

Other Addon Features:


New Bosses - Not every Blade Dancer is a hero. A handful of renegades roam Maj'Eyal, looking to ruin someone's day...

New Boss Artifacts - ...at least those renegade Blade Dancers carry some decent gear with them.

Dance of the Edge 1.6.7

Alternative Combat Sounds 1.5.5

Replaces a few combat and talent sounds that I felt didn't fit (for various reasons) from the base game

Currently replaced sounds:
- Sling shoot - Replaced with a "woosh" and impact sound.
- Steamgun shoot - Replaced with a single more gun-like sound. There is an alternative file in the addon that plays two firing sounds instead of one (like the original sound).
- Lightning spells - The original loud crashing sound is replaced with an electric "zap" sound.

Note: As this does include a sound file for Steamguns, it's made with the EoR DLC in mind. However, I'm fairly certain it should work without the DLC.

Also Note: This is my first addon and I'm not particularly experienced with lua, so there are a few things I couldn't do (yet!). I included a "sling_miss" version of the sling sound, but I've yet to find a way to get the game to use it (without overwriting the entire data for slings, which would be bad). So for now, the sound file is there, but the game will make the same sound whether you hit with a sling or miss (the default sling sound does the same thing). Any advice on how to tweak that one line of code (sound_miss = "actions/sling") without using an overload would be greatly appreciated!

 - Added a new talent tree, Technique/Fencing which has defensive talents related to parrying.
 - The talent Web of Steel has been moved from Swordsmanship to Fencing. It's place in the Swordsmanship tree has been taken by a new talent, Vorpal, which gives Physical Power and Armor Penetration.
 - The talent Crescent Sweep has been reworked. It deals more damage, inflicts bleed, moves before attacking, no longer allows swapping places, and has a cooldown. It's usage as a spammable movement talent for swapping places has been filled by the new Mist Step talent on the Fencing tree.
 - Lightspeed Draw can now attack enemies adjacent to any tiles you pass through in addition to enemies that you pass through directly. These additional targets count when determining whether you can use Lightspeed Draw or not. It still can only hit one enemy per tile you travel through though.
 - Fixed Swordsmanship not functioning for daggers
 - Fixed Swordsmanship to not permanently replace a weapon's strength damage mod with dexterity
 - Harrying blows no longer requires your spring attacks to hit the target; instead it only requires that you attempt them.
 - Harrying blows's finishing blow now bypasses evasion/repulsion talents that the target possesses
 - Harrying blows's finishing blow no longer ignores ALL armor and resistances. It ignores 50% of the target's resistances, and has set bonus armor penetration.
 - Spring Attack now functions immediately when activated instead of only after an action is performed after it is activated.
 - Surgical Strikes's stun and interference effects are now separate (so you get the full stun regardless of what the target does on its next turn). It's cooldown has also been increased from 6 to 8.
 - Added clarifying text to the descriptions of Will to Live and Unfetter to give a better idea of how effective they are when leveled up without requiring arithmetic.
 - Buffed Spring Attack stamina restoration
 - Cunning/Tactical is once again locked by default
 - Added translation support to timed effects

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!


Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

  • Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
  • Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.


Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

  • Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
  • Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.


Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

  • Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
  • The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
  • The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
