--- DESCRIPTION ---

This addon removes the level 50 cap from the game (Age of Ascendancy main campaign and arena mode).

I'm unsure if it works with DLC (I don't have the DLCs ;-; ).

P.S: This is a simpler version of "Campaign Uncapper" by Starkeep. Instead of scaling every dungeon to your level, this one only removes the level cap. Consider checking that addon out!

1) Download the file

2) Move it inside /(Your Game Directory)/game/addons

3) Launch Tales of Maj'Eyal

4) On the main menu, select "Addons"

5) Find "Ascendancy Level Cap Remover" and ensure it's active

Adds a new race: the Vorloth.

Vorloths are not from Eyal, they are from planet Luxam.
They are unique sound creatures, fragile but powerful.
Vorloths have their own starting zone, and they have a unique post-game boss fight.

Adds a new Chronomancer subclass, the Quantum Slider.

The class has a very unique way of gameplay: you should run & teleport as fast and as many times as you just can.
Running with very high speed and teleporting gives you several benefits. Sliders are always on the Run.

Quantum Slider has only the Spellbinding (locked) tree from the original chronomancy trees.

Their new, unique trees are:

The addon also contains new effects and new damage types for the class.

The possible power level is higher than with a paradox mage.

Slider is a very strong class if it's played in a simple way, but the more complex
way it's played the stronger & stronger it will be.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!


Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

  • Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
  • Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.


Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

  • Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
  • Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.


Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

  • Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
  • The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
  • The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
  • The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
  • Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.
    Maybe you will even find The One That Writes...
  • Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?
  • The Entropic Void: So you think you are strong? Powerful? Invulnerable? In the end, entropy always wins, as you will learn...

Automatic Notes 1.7.0

Automatically collects notes about unvisited zones and unactivated features/events that the player has seen and may wish to return to later, updated as the player revisits said points of interest. Notes will reflect:

  • Unopened golden chests, graves and weird pedestals; giant digestive sacks and strange tentacle "trees" from the Forbidden Cults DLC; demon statues from the Ashes of Urh'rok DLC; strange conduits from the Embers of Rage DLC.
  • Unopened vaults, including "hidden vault" sub-zones.
  • Various quest-related events like Tempest Peak and the Sher'tul farportal.
  • Sub-zones like damp caves, intimidating caves, and the temporal rift in Daikara.
  • Glyph sequences from the Forbidden Cults DLC, as found on various levels.
  • Various non-main-plot zones on the world map, like Ruined Dungeon or Mark of the Spellblaze (configurable), if you have not visited them or killed their associated guardian.

Notes for a level are updated when the player enters or leaves the level, and when bringing up the auto-collected notes list manually via <Alt-Shift-A> (configurable via the "Key bindings" dialog). The auto-collected notes list will also optionally pop up when you load a character, configurable via the game option "UI | Automatic notes".

Changes the quest log descriptions of a few quests to provide useful information or fix missing information, tweaks a few chat dialogs for stylistic improvement, and adds NPC portrait images to some chat dialogs that were missing them. Quests currently affected:

Official Expansion!

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Modifies various trap-preparation and tool-preparation tools from the Cunning/Traps and Cunning/Artifice trees to simplify preparation of tools and traps. Trap Priming, Cunning Tools, Intricate Tools and Master Artificer are changed to passive talents that modify the behavior of the expanded trap/tool selection dialogs under Trap Mastery resp. Rogue's Tools, from which all desired trap or tool preparation can be done at once.

A collection of small quality-of life tweaks for tinker-using characters in the Embers of Rage DLC. Notable changes:

  • New tinker recipe Regeneration Salve.
  • In the Create Tinker dialog, place initial focus in the recipes list for ease of keyboard navigation.
  • Expand the descriptions of schematics in tinker stores and recipes in the Create Tinker dialog to include more useful information.
  • For characters with both a transmogrification chest and an Automated Portable Extractor, the latter will automatically be used for items that yield ingredients when melted, and the former will be used for the rest for fortress energy (controlled by game options "Gameplay | Multiplexed transmogrification" and "Gameplay | Multiplexed transmogrification minimum tier").
  • Schematics for tinkers you've already learned can optionally be listed in a different color in stores and in player inventory for easier distinction (controlled by game option "Gameplay | Highlight learned schematics in stores").

Takedown - Perform a short dash to a target, striking it in melee and pinning it if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Rip and Tear - Deals melee weapon damage, Bleeds, and increases Hate. Disarms if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Mournful Howl - Deals Darkness and Mind damage in a small radius and increase Hate. Causes a random gloom effect if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level and Mindpower. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Throatseeker - Deals high melee weapon damage and increases Hate. Silences if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.

Cursed / Prowl (WIL)
Prowl - It's Stealth.
Pounce - It's Shadowstrike.
Nocturnal - It's the stealth regen thing but instead of Life and Stamina, it's Life and Equilibrium.
Into the Woods - Re-enter stealth no matter if enemies are near you or not. No cost, but high cooldown and breaks like regular stealth.

Bloodlet - Critical weapon attacks also apply Bleed. Bleed increases based on talent level.
Dig In - Deals melee weapon damage and intensifies Bleed effects on the enemy. Costs Hate and Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Frenzied Swipe - Lash out and swipe madly at everything around you, dealing damage and applying Bleed. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Shadow of the Pack - Sustain that causes triggers a weak melee attack against all Bleeding enemies in a short radius. Costs Equilibrium to sustain, and Hate once per turn that it triggers.

Claws of the Beast - Sustain that gives you some Physical critical chance as well as have a chance to cast your current level of Instill Fear on a single target on melee attacks. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level and Mindpower. Cannot be used with anything in hands. Also passively provides unarmed mastery and makes gloves scale with STR and WIL.
Ravenous Hunger - Gain Hate each turn a Bleeding enemy is in range.
Fight or Flight - Trained Reactions but it costs Equilibrium.
Beastly Form - When active, you gain a stack of Seethe and Grim Resolve (if you know them) automatically and Intimidate enemies around you.

Class: Hunted 1.7.6

Class: Spellweaver 1.7.6

Adds the Spellweaver, a Mage subclass who creates custom spells with Spellweaving components.
For example, a Spellweaver might make a spell using the Fire element, the Beam shape, and the Damage Over Time effect to make a simple Damage over Time Fire Beam. However, spells can get vastly more complicated, with things like a "Grand Checkerboard of Eclipsing and Feverish Wallweaving and Prismatic and Radiat Lingering Harm" if you want to be way over the top.
Additionally, Spellweavers can make shielding and teleportation spells with components too, although all three types of spells use the same slots.
Spellweavers who are Humans, Elves, Dwarves or Undeads will also begin in Wovenhome in the East and have a special dungeon to start the game.

      1.Related resources will gain +2 regen after 15+ turns. This works only if you can regen those resources.
      2.Rest on world map will charges Rod of Recall 10x faster after 15 turns.
      3.Rest now checks talent cooldown with resources together, instead of the original two step rest.
      4.Rest will take auto-use talent cooldown into consideration, rest won't stop until all auto-use talent has became off cooldown once.

      Adds a keybind to activate the new player AI. Set to Alt+F1 by default.

      Once you click ALT-F1 (you can change this key with Keybinding)

      1.Auto explore
      2.Fight using the same AI coded for enemies in the game
      3.Rest
      4. go back to 1

      You can weight the talent used by the AI by right clicking on your character and clicking on "Define Player-Aioo" at the bottom of the dialog box.

      It will Stop when your character is low on life, when you are on an Exit, when a dialog box open, or you are blinded.
      Then you control your character. And once you are healed you can launch the AI again with ALT-F1 (or your key)
      You can force the AI to Stop by closing the TOME window. The dialog for saving will appear immediately, stopping the AI (repeatedly bashing ALT-F1 work too)

      !Warning: Use it at your own risk. This can put your character in a sure death situation!

I just wanted to play on the most recent version of ToME when I played it, so this is just a port of OotS to ToME 1.7.4. I will NOT be adding new content, and all credit goes to Nekarcos, who actually made this. If you find any bugs, please report them to me.
