This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This QoL provides some "automation" to various tedious gameflows in ToME.

• Auto-Keeping

Provides the player various settings that control which objects will automatically be excluded from transmogrification.
This is particularly designed for keeping various "lightweight" objects (such as Inscriptions, Rings, and/or Necklaces).

• Auto-Waiting:

Adds two bindable keys to [Key Bindings] that lets you wait for either 100 or X many turns.
(No more using the Rod of Recall!)

• Auto-Battle:

Adds a bindable key to [Key Bindings] that causes your currently-controlled character to perform a single, AI-controlled action during combat.
Additionally, this also adds a map menu option to adjust your currently-controlled character's talent priorities for the sake of optimizing said behavior.

• Auto-Hotkeying (Work In Progress)

When replacing a usable object with another usable object, all of the old object's talent hotkeys will be replaced with the new object's hotkey as well.

Stability: High
Background: There are just some things a player shouldn't have to do themself. It's a nuisance more than anything! Why waste the brain power? Let's have the game deal with it instead!

Adds an option to the Sher'Tul fortress butler to spend some fortress energy enhancing your golem to match your movement speed.

• What if I get more speed-boosting equipment after I upgrade my golem?
• Hey! The upgrade is making my golem's movement speed higher than mine!

This addon gives the class and generic trees equal weight, so trees like Survival are not extremely common.

Adds new game option "UI | Scroll hotkeys toolbar with scroll wheel", which can be disabled to prevent the scroll wheel or other scrolling input mechanisms from affecting the hotkeys toolbar.

Audiomancy is an audio enhancement for ToME that does not affect music. It started with the High Quality Sounds mod (thanks to Gurkoz), but it does a bit more than replace sounds. It enhances the code introducing random variance, layering, and new trigger points. Weapon types (sword, great axe, mace, sling, bows, etc.) have distinct sounds in combat, along with NPC types having different impact sounds. Many weapons have distinct critical hit sounds as well. Ranged weapons have separated attack and hit sounds. Melee and ranged talents you would have expected to produce sound before likely will with this mod. Multiple hits trigger multiple sounds, e.g. the Volley talent. There is still more to do, especially in terms of providing distinct sound effects for various game mechanics and talents, but the code as-is will affect almost every sound played in the game while adding more. I attempted to maximize compatibility, replacing a single function and using superloading and hooking for the rest.

Fixed the attackTarget hook (thank you to "Chief of Kilimanjaro" and "purpel frog" in the ToME Discord); it now properly returns two values. This should fix various misc issues, anything dependent on the second return value.

Automatically collects notes about unvisited zones and unactivated features/events that the player has seen and may wish to return to later, updated as the player revisits said points of interest. Notes will reflect:

• Unopened golden chests, graves and weird pedestals; giant digestive sacks and strange tentacle "trees" from the Forbidden Cults DLC; demon statues from the Ashes of Urh'rok DLC; strange conduits from the Embers of Rage DLC.
• Unopened vaults, including "hidden vault" sub-zones.
• Various quest-related events like Tempest Peak and the Sher'tul farportal.
• Sub-zones like damp caves, intimidating caves, and the temporal rift in Daikara.
• Glyph sequences from the Forbidden Cults DLC, as found on various levels.
• Various non-main-plot zones on the world map, like Ruined Dungeon or Mark of the Spellblaze (configurable), if you have not visited them or killed their associated guardian.

Notes for a level are updated when the player enters or leaves the level, and when bringing up the auto-collected notes list manually via <Alt-Shift-A> (configurable via the "Key bindings" dialog). The auto-collected notes list will also optionally pop up when you load a character, configurable via the game option "UI | Automatic notes".

Adds a new talent Prophecy Management, for easier management of the prophecies associated with Grand Oration, Twofold Curse and Revelation.

Fixes various janky behaviour with Skirmisher, Archer, and Annihilator's projectile effects:

Talents intended to hit instantly now properly do. In basegame, these classes use extremely fast projectiles in an attempt to simulate instant hits. However, this obviously does not work for many reasons, allowing actors to act in the interim (most obnoxiously, stepping out of the way of said attacks). This can no longer happen with this addon.

Grenade Launcher's FX now sync properly with the projectile's impact. In vanilla EoR, the visual shockwave and sound FX are created immediately upon Grenade Launcher triggering, despite the actual projectile having travel time. This addon causes these effects to instead trigger when the grenade actually lands, and additionally adds enhanced VFX for each grenade type.

The interaction dialog is bound to Alt-Shift-I by default, and can also be accessed by right-clicking on a suitable party member on the map or via the "Interact with Party Members" action on the main game menu.

Modifies the Font of Sacrifice from the Forbidden Cults DLC (required), giving it the extra ability to modify wild infusions in the player's inventory. Wild infusions that remove a single type of effect can be changed to another type for 500 gold, or have a second type added for 1000 gold; wild infusions that remove two types of effects can have one of them changed for 500 gold.

Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.

Modifies the Attune Mindstar talent to allow individual control over the nature-vs.-mind attument of your mainhand and offhand wielded mindstars. Also adds a status indicator in the buffs display showing the attunement of your wielded mindstars.

Removes the limit on the types of poisons you can have active. This is a joke addon.

This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack improves visibility of status effects by adding particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

• Features can be toggled in: "(Menu)" > "Game Options" --> "[Nekarcos]"

Adds a display effect to Cloud Caller's storm effect, similar to the Thunderstorm spell.

Removes the "only offers talents at level 10" warning, allowing you to spend category points in advance.

]Modifies the tooltips of the Cursed Sentry and Choose Cursed Sentry talents to list the currently selected weapon (if any) for use with Cursed Sentry.

Fixes a bug in the Lost Knowledge quest, restoring the intended effect that the poison water in the Valley of the Moon will be purified to regular water when the quest is successfully completed.

Fixes a small cosmetic glitch in the Customize dialog on the character creation screen by explicitly setting the default cosmetics for your current race/class/sex as selected, so that selecting a value in one category (like Skin) doesn't lose the default selection in another category (like Hair, leaving the character bald).

An experimental addon that attempts to detect and remove "orphaned" particle display effects left behind by temporary status effects or sustained talents. The check is performed automatically on character load, and can also be triggered manually via the keybinding <Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P>.

Also available as part of the Bugnibus Bugfix Pack.

Modifies the Drake-Infused Blood talent so that canceling out of the Drake Aspect dialog does not consume accumulated kills.

Adds the ability to temporarily seal a naga invasion portal or Fearscape invasion portal, preventing further spawns from the portal but allowing you to unseal and enter it later.

If you are wielding a two-handed weapon in mainhand and another weapon in offhand (via Ogres' Grisly Constitution talent or various addons), arranges for your melee weapon damage to be recorded as both two-handed weapon damage and dual-wielded weapon damage for purposes of satisfying prodigy requirements (notably Windblade).

-Psionic Howl: An aoe howl that sics some mental wolves on your enemies, giving them damage over time, reduced damage dealt, and chance for talent failure!

-Hunter's Agility: Boost global speed for a short time!

-Through the Shadows: An active ability that gives you an instant, variable range, no-cooldown teleport! However, the range diminishes the further you travel with it, and recovers over time.

Modifies the Command Staff talent to work on a staff wielded in the offhand, psionic focus or other non-mainhand slot. If you are wielding multiple staffs, the talent will prompt you to choose one to modify.

Adds new talent Interact with the Worm, allowing Writhing Ones from the Forbidden Cults DLC using the Demented/Friend of the Worm talent tree to manipulate their worm that walks' equipment and talents (and name) in a more convenient manner similar to Alchemists' Interact with the Golem talent.

An experimental attempt to improve targeting for certain talents that impose conditions on allowed targets, by arranging that targeting will only select targets with the necessary condition. Supported so far:

Also attempts to ensure that the Tinkers tab is not left unselected in the inventory dialog after the player gains talents that make the tab available (for instance, Steamtech/Physics or Steamtech/Chemistry from the Embers of Rage DLC).

An experimental addon that expands tinker-related actions from the use-item dialog and inventory dialog to allow attaching/detaching tinkers on equipment worn by the Alchemist's golem or other permanent party members. In particular:

• From the player inventory dialog, the "Attach to item" action will include suitable equipment worn by your golem in its list of attachment candidates.
• From the Interact with the Golem equipment/inventory dialog, the "Attach to item" action will attach tinkers from the player's inventory to equipment worn by the golem (popping up a list if there are multiple candidates), and the "Detach from item" and "Detach tinker" actions will remove tinkers from the golem's equipment and return them to the player's inventory.
• Drag-and drop in the Interact with the Golem equipment/inventory dialog should also work for attaching and detaching tinkers.
• The "Gameplay | Swap tinkers" option, if enabled, should behave the same way when changing the golem's equipment as when changing the player's equipment.

Description

Experience Reducer is an addon that lets you reduce the amount of experience you receive upon killing foes. Think of this as a sort of inverse of the Experience Controller addon.

The mod provides various options for reducing the amount of EXP you gain based on mob difficulty. Mostly intended for people using Custom Difficulty and are tired of leveling too fast in nightmare, or for people who just want an even more challenging playthrough on harder difficulties.You can enable/disable or alter the settings at any time and it will immediately take effect upon newly slain foes. Also applies to the infinite dungeon if you so choose.

Experience Reducer is off by default, and must be deliberately enabled within the settings menu.
Once the addon is enabled and your character is loaded, open game settings and navigate to the gameplay tab. Scroll down and look for "Experience Reducer".

Enemy Rank Experience Scaling

The Rank scaling mode allows you to reduce the amount of impact elites, rares, bosses, ect. have on your exp gain. In vanilla these can get very high. This is the primary reason you level so fast in insane or above--there's just way more high rank enemies, and they all have big exp multipliers. I have provided a few different modes to help reign this in.

-Vanilla:
Doesn't change anything compared to original game.

-Reduced (default):
Meant to make Insane/Madness difficulties less fast. It takes the rank multipliers for vanilla and scales them back by about 30% for higher ranked enemies in the normal campaigns, and about 20% for infinite dungeon. Critter and Normal enemies will give the same exp as in vanilla.

-Rank Matching:
The exp multiplier for high rank enemies will now match their game rank. For example, A boss enemy is considered 'rank 4', and within vanilla would provide 25 times the normal experience amount. With this mode applied, that boss will instead provide only 4 times the normal experience value.

Higher rank enemies will be significantly less rewarding. Critter and Normal enemies will give the same exp as in vanilla.

Note that while playing within Infinite Dungeon, this mode will feel much more subdued due to its similarity to the exp rates already found there in vanilla.

Global Experience Multiplier

Pretty self explanatory. All experience you receive will be multiplied by this amount. This value is applied after the alterations from the rank scaling mode setting. This configuration might be preferred if you don't really like the behavior of the ranked scaling modes and just want less exp overall.

Changing this value to 1 will be the equivalent of changing nothing--vanilla behavior. A value of 0 will prevent you from getting any experience at all.

Compatibility

It should go without saying, but you probably should not use this mod together with Experience Controller. I have not gone out of my way to test the actual conflicts, but they touch the same code with completely opposite behavior. I can make no promises on what will happen if you try and run both at the same time.

Credits

The entirety of the code for this addon was shamelessly ripped from Errant Nyles' addon, Experience Controller. I merely inverted the behavior and made my own formula. But suffice to say that if their addon did not exist, neither would this one. I am waaaay too lazy to actually learn the nuances of lua, let alone the tome engine. So thanks to them for making that.

Modifies various player sidekicks (Alchemists' golem, Writhing Ones' worm that walks from the Forbidden Cults DLC, Annihilators' mecharachnid from the Embers of Rage DLC) to synchronize their level with the player's level every time they are re-added to map, in case the player gained a level while the sidekick dead.

(Disclaimer: The failure of sidekicks to do this in the base game is believed to be a bug; if said bug is fixed in a future version, this addon will be officially deprecated.)

Fixes a bug in the Strafe talent from the Embers of Rage DLC (required) which was causing the move step after shooting to be processed incorrectly.

Makes a couple of tweaks to Necromancer to make it less prone to accumulating disproportionate amounts of positive life, thus helping its 0-life threshold gimmicks retain relevance:

Blurred Mortality now converts half of your maximum life bonus from Constitution to negative death threshold, retroactively. This is a relatively minor change, but it will at least stop Constitution from giving a greater proportion of positive life to negative life per point at high levels.

Lichform will convert half of the maximum life you gain from levelling up after transforming to negative death threshold (non-retroactively). Instead of drastically increasing the proportion of positive life to negative life to the point where the latter is practically dwarfed and never encountered outside of extreme situations, Lichform will now cause you to break perfectly even, and in most cases will in fact slow the rate at which you gain positive life. (Credit to GlassGo on the forums for suggesting this behaviour!)

These tweaks will likely cause some level of disruption to Necromancer's power balancing, so any feedback given on the forums towards further polishing would be appreciated. Enjoy!

- Shows the damage type (lightning, etc.) as icons or text!
- Text moves in a consistent direction and should be much easier to read than ToME's default for a variety of reasons.

Plenum ToolTip Custom Edit: Enhanced Plenum tooltip display for ToME version 0.3 for ToME 1.6.1

This addon replaces the normal tooltip for actors in TOME with a more detailed description of monster abilities and characteristics. It adds to the standard tooltip detailed information on speed, main-hand, off-hand, and ranged damage, and damage modifiers and extra crit power, including damage penetration and damage affinities, plus retaliation damage, depending on what options are selected (from a tab in Game Options menu). This makes it much easier to inspect multiple monsters and quickly identify the most threatening. By holding a meta-key (ctrl, alt, or shift) and hovering the mouse over a monster, information on its status immunities and talents is displayed.

In addition, information on temporary terrain features (like smoke and darkness) and map effects (from spells and the like) will be displayed in the terrain tooltip if the appropriate options are enabled.

Makes alchemists focus on creating elixirs that you are not currently helping them with.
In the base game, when you hand in ingredients to an alchemist, another alchemist completes one of his remaining elixirs at random.
What this addon does is remove the elixir that you are already helping them with from the possible elixirs to be chosen unless it is their last elixir.

Description:
This mod adds Fanged Collar to player's starting inventory. Now you can start growing your own parasite from the very beginning.

[A necklace appear in inventory like a gray unidentified 'a necklace with fangs'.
If u want to know a magical properties - Right click on item and chose Identify. Item change to 'Fanged Collar'.
P.S. : Item usable without Identify (Parasite Race)]

To use this mod start a new game, with a newly activated race and die. After death - when given two options, choose "a) ...want to live".

And don't forget to equip Fanged Collar before dying.

Availible in following game modes: Infinity Dungeons, Arena, Maj'Eyal main campaign, Orcs campaign.
