Mod that allows you to play as an adventurer who somehow ended up with humanlike intelligence, but the body of a bear.

Bears are an unusual adventurer species. They are unable to use most equipment (hat, lite, amulet, cape and tool only), but are very strong, fast and tough and have a rather powerful racial talent tree.
The mod is an early work in progress. A future development goal is to adjust dialogues and create new scenarios to reflect a bear's limited communication capabilities.

Racial talents
- Maul: You gain two powerful unarmed paw attacks. Despite being unarmed, you can use your paws to perform most attacks that would normally require melee weapons.
- Ironhide: Gain strong defences that scale with physical power, and the ability to treat your tough hide as light armour
- Ursine Ingenuity: Reduce all cooldowns and increase almost all stats granted by the few items you can actually wear
- Huge. Angry. Bear.: You become far larger, faster, tougher, and stronger.

Adds Wilder and Psion escorts.

Replaces default interface styles with cleaner versions to enhance readability.

First release focuses primarily on replacing everything related to the default interface styles in the base game.

Future releases will enhance individual styles and take care of minor tweaks.

Content consists of only graphic assets to try and have the highest possible compatibility with future patches.

This addon replaces ToME's map display with one that's more in-line with other games. You can drag the mouse to scroll, use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, and left-click to set the currently viewed area (instead of accidentally traveling there, which can still be done via right-click menu). It also shows the viewport rectangle on the map, and if your computer is powerful enough, you can even show the actual terrain instead of the confusing color blocks, or make the walls red to easily find paths you have yet to explore. The player and zone exits are also displayed as icons on the map. Additionally, if you travel via the map and stop unexpectedly (i.e., you ran into your golem), a friendly dialog will pop up asking if you'd like to continue to your destination.

Мод заменяет карту игры на нечто более схожее с другими играми. Карат способна отображать реальную местность ландшафта и окрашивать непроходимые места в красный цвет, что бы проще найти дорогу.

Places the Sect of Kryl-Feijan event on the map as a zone entrance rather than an undetectable encounter.

After Protector Myssil died some say by the daggers of a shadowy backstabber, while others bespoke of a crazed mage drawing fiendish black magicks, the fanatic Ziguranth order crumbled into chaos, and its numbers dwindled into insignificance.

Completely removes Ziguranth patrols after Myssil dies.

In general, this mod is for people (like me) who like to do everything in a game. Visit all the dungeons, kill all the bosses, preferably get all the artifacts. By allowing all characters to visit some more restricted dungeons, we can make that a little easier. This mod is not intended to be lore-friendly, but I may make a lore-friendlier version in the future. (As it stands you can visit Irkkk as a halfling and the Yeek don't care. I may change that.)

Current mod features:
All characters can visit the Iron Throne, its shops, and its two attendant dungeons.
All characters can travel through the tunnel in the Ancient Halfling Complex to reach the Island of Rel. There they can visit Irkkk and the two dungeons.
All characters will receive caldera at level 20, and sludgenest at level 30.
The maximum level of Rel's dungeons is raised to match Halfling Complex (to 25)
The maximum material level of Rel's dungeons is raised by 1 (from 2 to 3)

This adds three new classes, two of which are loosely based on the Headless Horror, plus a mini-adventurer that gets talents from all three.
All are considered Demented, but use a new resource instead of insanity and do *not* require Forbidden Cults.
Their talents do not appear on enemies.

Hekatonkhieres are spell-using melee combatants who mix armed and unarmed attacks while accompanied by their eldritch Wandering Eyes.

This pack compiles several classes, with an emphasis on hybrid design. Not all classes are complete: the ones which I'm not satisfied with are marked as either INCOMPLETE or "in BETA".

- The Transcendent Fist is an unarmed Psionic warrior, using a gem in his TK slot to hit with flexible energy types.
- The Storm Warden is a melee-and-ranged skirmisher with magical mobility and support spells.
- The Striker is a cunning and covert class, with a focus on delivering shock-and-awe thunderbolts from stealth.
- The Gravitic Infantry is a melee-focused Chronomancy user (formerly named the Heavy).
- The Creep is a stalker in the dark, cunning and covert in his hate.
- The Vector uses disease and debilitation to keep his foes at range while he snipes them to death.
- The Flenser is a Defiler whose knives debilitate and torture his victims.
- The Blood Mage is a Vim-based caster with a mild dip into staff-melee combat.

(BETA) Shield Hero is an Adventurer who starts with heavy armor and a shield. Not very exciting unless you were annoyed about not being able to equip your Adventurer's shield right away.
(BETA) Prototype Hero is an Adventurer who starts with 1.3 mastery in every category. Not very useful for players, but it might be interesting for addon writers to spitball new category combinations.

(INCOMPLETE) The Flux Marauder is a Paradox thug, stealing time from his enemies.

Binds the Zone:create hook. This addon is safe to enable and disable on existing save files, though doing so will not have any effects for characters who have visited the sandworm lair already.

Exponential Leveling is an addon that changes the amount of points (stats, class, ..) and optionally resources (hp/stamina/mana/regen..) you gain upon EACH level up.
It is meant to make Madness difficulty possible without cheating or hacking of any kind. The game isn't really meant to be beaten on Madness-Roguelike in a legit way, which is why trainers/cheats/savescams exist. There have been only a couple of winners that might be real and legit, and they are Adventure class with no video proof.

Being fully configurable, it can also be used to make the game easier as you wish to.

THIS DOES NOT DISABLE IN-GAME AND STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS.

How to use this addon:

    - Download and install, of course. Check if the addon is ACTIVATED. If you have another addon that superload/overload player.lua, it might conflict.
    - Start a New Game.
    - Under Options > Gameplay, you can enable or disable the addon. This will work from the next levelup. It cannot be used retroactively.
    - You can also change mode of operating (Default is balanced) and optional modes of operation (Also increase resources, life, etc on levelup) or be left as is.
    

Operating Modes:

    - Balanced -> Gives extra points in a fair way depending on your difficulty (Nightmare, Insane and Madness)
    - Extra Points -> Gives many more points than vanilla in any difficulty
    - Cheatish -> Gives way more points than you'll ever need
    - Only Life -> Does NOT change how many points you gain on levelup, but provide some extra MAX HP on levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.
    

Optional Modes (These work alongside Operating Modes):

    - None -> Nothing else than what chosen under Operating Modes
    - All Resources -> Increase stamina, mana, hate, vim, etc (MAX and regen) upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options.
    - MAX HP -> Increase only MAX HP and not all resources upon levelup. How much per level can be configured under the options. Stacks with Only Life if you want to.

Adds Oozewalkers, antimagic powered undead who are incapable of using infusions but gain powerful racial talents. They also begin in a new starting town (shared with Oozemancers).

Note: This is the first release and the Storming the City alternate reward is a very strange item, so it may not function as intended for all sustains. Additionally, balance may not be spot on yet, balancing is hard and I am not good at it.

Jelly Form - Gain many weak resistances. None of the resistances values are high enough to be reliable, but it gives a lot of them, so.
Dissolving Dash - Dash to a location, moving through enemies to a tile 5-10 tiles away and corroding everything you pass through, reducing their resist all for a short time.

Phosphorus Heart, a Lite with the ability to steal magical sustains and cause enemy sustains to randomly fail within radius 5.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
• The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
• The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.
  Maybe you will even find The One That Writes...
• Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?
• The Entropic Void: So you think you are strong? Powerful? Invulnerable? In the end, entropy always wins, as you will learn...

Celestial Spellcasters who have been overcome with madness and become more and more like unto Luminous Horrors.
Shining Ones begin in Kroshkurr by default.

Celestial / Incinerator: Burn enemies and the ground beneath them.
Celestial / Seals: Create a patch of ground that grants powerful bonuses as long as you can hold it.
Demented / Core-Gate: Summon more horrors to fill the battlefield with lasers.

Allows Adventurer to take any class evolution prodigy, adds an option to allow any class to take multiple evolutions, and adds an option to remove requirements from prodigies.

Should be compatible with all evolutions from addons and future updates.

Normally prevents you from selecting an evolution for a class that adventurer doesn't get any talents from (any class not possible on random bosses, or stone warden when not playing dwarf/drem), but this restriction is removed if you also have zizzo's addon Slightly More Adventurous or my addon Much More Adventurous.

Yet another rework of the OldRPG tileset. Compatible with Orcs, Cults, and Ashes. Both parts are required.

Adds a necromancer escort.
Saving it may teach Necrosis category, Blurred Mortality, Runeskin, or +5 magic/willpower.
Betraying it may teach Fungus category, Wild Growth, Ancestral Life, or +5 willpower/cunning.

Places the Cursed Village event on the map as a lumberjack NPC rather than an undetectable encounter. A companion piece to Melinda on the Map and Merchant on the Map; they can be used together or separately.

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Quality of Life improvements for resting and auto-exploring.

v3.5.0 *** FOR ToME v1.6.5 ***
This is a fork (with permission) of Marson's auto-explore and rest tweaks. It includes as well C.Lowe/CaptainTrip's improvements as well. It does not include, but recommends also using Johnny0's Faster RRE add-on for even better rest and auto-explore experience. This add-on contains numerous Quality of Life improvements designed to make resting and auto-exploring easier to use, brings the add-on overall up to being compatible with 1.6.x, and generally seeks to remove it being more optimal to do timed rests or manual recovery (particularly to help higher difficulty level and players without Faster RRE). Cleaned up feature list in this take, to make it easier to see what it does.

It is recommended to turn off Marson's Rest and Auto-Explore as well as C.Lowe's Rest Tweaks if using. This addon is meant to include all of them.

Latest Update Notes:
• Changed steam sustain behavior to match current gameplay. Before sustains tended to shut off when available resource was 0, now they don't seem to do so. This will now only turn off sustains that drain steam if steam is going below 0, so as to get to a steady finish state.
• Fix minor bug where stealth enabling was always on if you had it.
• Added new option to ignore quest members when resting or exploring. It defaults to off but for those folks that know they want to ignore those quest allies and rest a bit.

Existing Features:
• removed First Sighting and Reset on Rest. Someone can patch them in if they'd like it back, but I'm not really keeping them alive.
• Fixed actor bugs causing Elemental Surge to never reset. Thanks Reca♥den.
• Fixed bug with Paradox Spacetime Tuning from 1.5.5. This may rebreak posessors with paradox, hard to kinda test.
• Mostly verified working on 1.6.0
• Compatibility with restart sustains. Thanks zizzo.
• When resting, it will check for infusions and runes that could be used to accelerate HP, Mana, or Equilibrium (via Ancestral Life or Meditation) recovery. If the acceleration appears significant, it will use them, rotating from first available infusion or rune outward. In experiment, I found this often reduced rest turn time by 50-80 percent, improving the more drained the resource was. Particularly helpful for Mana, as it avoids trade-off advantages of short term resting (for increased mana regen) + rune use by just handling that more optimal play for you automatically without breaking rest.
• Support for steam implants, with usual checkboxes. This may not always be faster based on steam sustains that may disable after the initial round of rest and steam implants having very long cooldowns (30+ turns) and steam's resource max being pretty small. It tries to be conservative on that, so will most likely help for cases where your functional steam regen rate is < 2.00 and never activate for things much above it. I found I was often getting 5-20 steam per turn, which makes the implant support useless.
• Supports for medical healing salve injectors. Cooldown measurements are a bit odd here, since they can range from 5-20 depending on injector. Went with 10 as a happy medium for how many turns of natural regen is considered to be equal to the cooldown cost of using it.
• Adding support to auto-stealth if available and not stealthed.
• Option for ignoring small damage when moving and resting, basically if it is <5%, it will ignore it by default, prevent small DoTs from preventing rest.
• Options added to control whether or not to use inscriptions to accelerate recovery of things.
• Fixes a ToME bug that can cause autoexplore or running to move only a single square and hang if used immediately after killing an enemy.
• Lore discovery will only stop autoexplore if it triggers a popup.
• Autoexplore will ignore Exploratory/Infinite Farportal return portals until the entire level has been explored.
• Ignores special terrain features such as Font of Healing after they are first discovered.
• Ignores open chests and alt Maze floor cracks.
• Rest and AE ask for confirmation if you have an escort in your party.
• Ignore already activated pedestals.
• Checks for and waits on any rechargeable items.
• Checks for and reloads any ammo in offhand quiver.
• Waits for cooldowns of talents set to auto-use.
• Waits for depleted air to replenish.
• Combines all checks into a single instance of rest, rather than having cooldowns etc. require a second resting phase.

Determines how auto-explore and running respond to telepathy, including mouse moves. Regardless of the setting, hostiles seen via telepathy will not halt resting or the Rod of Recall, nor trigger automated talents. Unique or powerful monsters (rank > 3) will always trigger a halt to running when they are spotted via telepathy for any mode except 'Original'.

Available modes:
• 'Always Viligant' always stops running when a hostile creature is seen via telepathy.
• 'Original' is standard ToME auto-explore behavior, which ignores telepathy when running or auto-exploring.

• Compatible with ToME v1.6.0

• Telepathy will not prevent auto-exploring the way normal sight will. If a halt is triggered by telepathy, hitting auto-explore again will move you at least one more square in the direction of the auto-explore path. If in 'Always Viligant' mode and a hostile is within telepathic sight (but not normal sight), you will auto-explore in 1 square per keypress increments.

Alters the Attune Mindstars talent effect.

This addon will alter Attune Mindstars to allow you to choose any basic damage type (physical, arcane, fire, cold, nature, blight, mind, temporal, light, darkness, acid, lightning) for your mindstars damage type. Mindstars that do not teach Attune Mindstar (i.e. fixedart mindstars) will not be affected. Additionally, Attune Mindstars will also affect any telekinetically-wielded mindstars.

Slightly adjust the random level selection for escort quests to avoid levels with zone bosses.

Sets escorts HP to 1000 and life regen to 100. This mod is not intended to be balanced and will make the game easier. Use at your own discretion.

Adds Rhaloren as a playable race, ideal for Corruptors and other blight-mages.

A few changes to skelly I thought would make it actually interesting to pick for some classes as it previously was easily the worst race because it didn't cover any of the weaknesses or encourage any synergies with any class. These changes make Skeleton focused a lot more on being a tank, which its talents originally hinted at.

The first talent now gives a massive amount of physical saves that scale with constitution. This replaces the duration reduction of the third talent. The duration reduction is largely a useless stat if you can't get it to 100% reduction as debuffs are either "I don't care about this" or "I want this gone immediately." Immunities have typically always been the go to. Most classes have their immunites or debuff clears as their third or final talent, so putting this as the first talent gives some incentive to use this over Shalore.

Originally it was going to be full physical debuff immunity like with Spine of the World but after some deliberation I figured this was too good. I kind of like the saves here as a way to demonstrate just how much is needed to be good. The numbers for this are chosen that provided you put in significant investment, it should provide excellent returns such that it's the only source of physical save needed on difficulties of insane or lower.

The third talent now gives you the Corruption/Bone tree. This here because I thought this would be fun, and thematic.

I got a bit of feedback that people wanted a mobility tree on Skeleton, but honestly I feel like that removes one of the interesting weaknesses of the class, that you are forced to use blink rune for mobility. This drawback provides some interesting decisions in what to select for your race and I think it should remain to encourage strategic building.

Also: Reassemble now scales with Constitution. Both Bone Armour and Reassemble's descriptions have been updated to fully detail the things they scale with. They previously did not mention that they scale with your max HP.

Classes that would be good with this skelly rework: Classes without a lot of defenses, classes with a lot of mobility, classes with the Corruption/Bone tree, classes that don't need to focus on 3 non-Constitution stats.

Update 1.2.0
The first talent and Reassemble both used to scale with Constitution but considering no classes use Con and you still want Magic for Bone Shield scaling and to make Bone Grab work, changing the Con scaling to Dexterity make the race pair better with more classes, since many triple stat using weapon classes utilize Dex.

Also I fixed a couple of bugs. Learning the Bone talents now correctly gives the Vim resource bar and puts them on your hotbar automatically.

Enables faster run/resting by use of FPS dividers.

These dividers simply divide the game's requested FPS by their respective values while resting or running. After starting a new game or loading a saved character, configure this addon by hitting escape -> video options. Setting these dividers to something greater than one can substantially reduce the amount of time required to finish resting/running on older computers.

Just be careful when resting on an escort mission...

Allows characters to fulfill the "Be close to the draconic world" requirement for Draconic Will and Draconic Body by eating just one of the "Heart of the Sandworm Queen" or "Wyrm Bile". This lets non-wyrmic characters access the prodigies at lv25 instead of having to wait to lv42 as usual.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)
Note: Unfortunately the only time that addons can get the possible escort types is after the random escort quest is assigned.
This means escorts added by other addons will not be available for selection, but will still be possible to find using the random selection.

Forgo arms to ravage your foes with fist and claw.
While unarmed, you gain all the weapon/shield bonuses of Surge, Cleave, and Repel.
Surge, Cleave, and Repel are no longer mutually exclusive while you are unarmed and will not put the other talents on cooldown when activated. If you equip a weapon while any of these are active, they will deactivate.
Attacks which would strike with a mainhand weapon or shield will use your unarmed stats for the weapon and/or shield attack.
Weapons Mastery will apply to unarmed combat and Willpower will be used in place of Dexterity as a damage modifier for gloves and gauntlets.
You learn the Grappling talent tree, unlocked at 1.3 mastery. Stamina cost for these talents is converted to Hate (at a ratio of 4:1).

A new class, a Celestial summoner who draws on the powers of Shandral's other planets to call up elementals.
Their basic trees summon and support Fire, Ice, and Lightning Elementals, as well as providing utility effects.
Their unlockable advanced trees rain down Meteors and twist Time Elementals into being.
They start with Chants, and a new tree in the vein of chants and hymns. They can unlock Celestial Light.

Their main resource is negative energy, which they generate by summoning and some other spells, and spent by others.

This mod should be compatible with just about everything.

A variation on wyrmics, as a multi-elemental debuff-centered class.
Rather than having their abilities scattered among the elements, they'll rank up melee attacks, mental attacks, and elements separately.

Draconic Energy - provides mindpower attacks.
Draconic Body - provides mobility and survivability.

Then, a wyrmic picks one of the six natural elements: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Sand, Acid, or Poison. Each element has a single ability available right away, and a set of advanced skills that require a category point to access.
Finally, the advanced Prismatic Tree rewards you for changing elements.

Apex Predator - new generic tree that fills in a few gaps and lets you wear gems.

Adds wrathwrought as a new subrace. They are psionic focused humans.

Stat modifiers: +2 Strength, +1 Dexterity, +0 Constitution, +0 Magic, +4 Willpower, and +3 Cunning.

Life Rating: 12

Experience Penalty: 10%

Racial talent tree:
Wrath Forged - Passively increases your health, stamina, hate and psi regeneration.

Unstoppable Wrath - Passively increases immunities to stun, confusion, pin, fear, silence.

The Savvy Fighter - Passively increases critical chance, critical power, Armor Penetration and Accuracy.

Faster Stronger Better - Passively increases Global speed, Physical speed, movement speed and all damage done.

This addon makes items description easier to read and determine on a glance it's usefulness
- sorts all stats by category - DPS/DEF/MISC
- item's passive power always the same blue color (not a random blue-yellow-pink-green)
- item's usable power - always yellow
- all rarity categories are displayed
- encumbrance value moved to the right under item name
- "on hit" powers always green
- "Stats" have an ornage highlight and placed before others because it's most important one
- Removed many extra-explain details, which any veteran player would not want to read each time
for example, stat "S.pwr/crit" shorten from "Spellpower on spell critical (stacks up to 3 times)"
means you do remember that it can stack only 3 times, and is not so super important anyway
- DLC supported - Orcs/Ashes
- few bug-fixes along the way

Most important thing to remember
- Requirements only shown for those you don't meet. If you want to see all reqs - hold CTRL
- "Phasing" stat means - "Damage Shield penetration", the name was taken from the source and looks good to me, and short enough
- The "-" minus sign at the end of stat mean immunity or reduction of some sort, for example "Blind-" = "Blindness immunity",
- "Max.summ" = Max wilder summons
- "Summ.HP.reg" = Life regen bonus (wilder-summons)
- "Def/telep" = Defense after a teleport
- "Res/telep" = Resist all after a teleport
- "Dur/telep" = New effects duration reduction after a teleport

it's not recommended to use this mod if you'r new to the game
