Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Features:

• Start with a new class, the Doombringer! These avatars of demonic destruction charge into battle with massive two-handed weapons, cutting swaths of firey devastation through hordes of opponents. Armed with flame magic and demonic strength, they delight in fighting against overwhelming odds, softening up the crowd with waves of fire, then feeding on the flames and suffering of their surroundings to stay alive while quickly reducing any group to a pile of ash and gore.
• Unlock a new class, the Demonologist, with an all-new item enhancement mechanic! Bearing a shield and the magic of the Spellblaze itself, these melee-fighting casters can grow demonic seeds from their fallen enemies. Imbue these seeds onto your items to gain a wide array of new talents and passive benefits, and summon the demons within them to fight on your side! Adds an optional user-customizable delay between steps when the player is running, including auto-explore and movement by mouse, to make running less visually disorienting. Delay is specified in milliseconds by the game option "Gameplay | Slow-motion running", and can be set from 0 to 1000.

Adds a new talent Prophecy Management, for easier management of the prophecies associated with Grand Oration, Twofold Curse and Revelation.

Fixes various janky behaviour with Skirmisher, Archer, and Annihilator's projectile effects:

Talents intended to hit instantly now properly do. In basegame, these classes use extremely fast projectiles in an attempt to simulate instant hits. However, this obviously does not work for many reasons, allowing actors to act in the interim (most obnoxiously, stepping out of the way of said attacks). This can no longer happen with this addon.

Grenade Launcher's FX now sync properly with the projectile's impact. In vanilla EoR, the visual shockwave and sound FX are created immediately upon Grenade Launcher triggering, despite the actual projectile having travel time. This addon causes these effects to instead trigger when the grenade actually lands, and additionally adds enhanced VFX for each grenade type.

Assorted quality-of-life tweaks for Temporal Wardens. If you know at least one talent in the Chronomancy/Blade Threading or Chronomancy/Bow Threading trees, then:

• Vital Shot and Windblade will auto-swap to the appropriate weapon set.
• Windblade will not harm your temporal hounds.

Changes Exotic Weapons Mastery to use the highest of strength or dexterity, since the two weapons that use Exotic only use one stat each.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
• The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
• The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.
  Maybe you will even find The One That Writes...
• Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?

Various enhancements to escort quest NPCs:
- Escorts now follow the player when not close to the portal.
- Escorts occasionally say useful things.
- Escorts heal 5% of their maximum health per turn.

Modifies the Attune Mindstar talent to allow individual control over the nature-vs.-mind attument of your mainhand and offhand wielded mindstars. Also adds a status indicator in the buffs display showing the attunement of your wielded mindstars.

This is a fork of Better Item Descriptions that simply makes the tooltip larger and uses long phrases instead of abbreviations.
It also works with zOmnibus's Inscription Compare feature.

Adds game options "Gameplay | Auto-rotate auras" and "Gameplay | Auto-rotate shields", which will make an effort to ensure that you have the game maximum of two aura or shield talents from the Psionic/Projection resp. = Band of Protection =
Getting a Damage Shield or Psionic Damage Shield effect while Band of Protection's Steam Shield effect is active causes game-breaking errors. This addon fixes this and makes Steam Shield behave like the other two damage shield effects (gets overwritten by new damage shields).

= Quake hitting multiple times =
Quake performs knockback during projection, which can cause the same actor to be hit multiple times, depending on the order that squares are iterated over. This addon fixes Quake so that it can only hit each actor once.

= Proc bonuses/penalties with nested attacks =
Weapon attacks that happen during other weapon attacks (such as Flexible Combat and weapons with talents on hit or talents on crit) can result in proc damage bonuses from staves being applied to the wrong weapon's procs, and the proc penalty for ogres applying multiple times to a weapon's procs and failing to apply at all to other procs. This addon fixes this so that the proc bonus from staves/shields only applies to the staff/shield's procs, and so that the ogre proc penalty always applies once.

= Real-time Anomaly Meteors =
Actors can dodge meteors from Anomaly Meteor by moving out of the way within 1/6th of a second, real-time. This addon removes this real-time behaviour, making the game properly turn-based once again.

= Wild Speed, Step Up, etc. resource leak =
An engine bug causes timed effects like Wild Speed and Step Up (ones that stop when you use a talent or attack) to constantly increase the size of a table on the actor using them. On characters that use these talents heavily, this can bloat savegames. This addon fixes this bug.

= Snapshotting for many talents =
Many sustains and passives do not update their values after being activated, allowing you to "snapshot" values with high power and then continue to use those high values even after changing to e.g. equipment that gives less spellpower or mastery. The addon improves gamefield view during different post effects
For example, it's hard enough to see anything around you while having invisibility and confusion/sleep statuses at the same time

Here is details about what been changed:
- Invisibility status no longer cause whole screen to go blue. The character outline-only effect still applies and it's enough to check your status on a glance
- Invisibility status no longer cause whole screen blur effect.
- Lightning Speed status no longer cause whole screen to go blue. Blur effect still applies though
- Lightning Speed status will no longer apply blur if you have Confused/Sleep statuses (which also make things blurried)
- Unstoppable status now makes whole screen a bit more brighter-red so it's easier to see stuff
- Unstoppable shader now have higher priority over Stealth, so if you activate Unstoppable while being stealthed - you'll see visual change
- Frozen state no longer causes whole screen to become greenish. This effect was caused by no_healing state, but in the frozen state last thing you going to care about is no_healing, and it's not even obvious

Removes the "only offers talents at level 10" warning, allowing you to spend category points in advance.

Allows you to toggle which classes can or cannot appear on random bosses and rares.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Assorted small quality-of-life changes for the Technomancer class evolution from the Embers of Rage DLC (required). Currently includes:

• Adds a status tracker to the Micro Spiderbot talent, showing how many active spiderbots you currently have and providing a tooltip listing their respective locations and durations.
• Modifies the description of objects and tinkers to indicate whether they are metallic, for use with the Galvanic Arcing talent.
• (new in v1b) Expands the tooltip of the Galvanic Rods status tracker to include information about persistent rods deployed via Galvanic Arcing and their respective beam/triangle zone linkage (including the player's metallic or metallic-tinkered weapon, if any).
• (new in v1c) Modifies the Metaphasic Spin talent to automatically select a steamsaw from inventory if it is tagged with the (localized) name of the Metaphasic Spin talent.

Allows base Imbue Item to apply to helmets, and changes Crafty Hands to allow any armour.

Allows you to set the level of enemies, the frequency of rare creatures, and some other elements of difficulty independently during character creation, to make the game as easy or hard as you like.

If you make the game at least as hard as a vanilla difficulty setting, you qualify for that difficulty's achievements.

An experimental attempt to improve targeting for certain talents that impose conditions on allowed targets, by arranging that targeting will only select targets with the necessary condition. Supported so far:

• Rockwalk and Rockswallow will only target hostiles pinned by Stone Vine.
• Headshot will only target marked hostiles (unless you have Concealment active).
• Upgrade from the Embers of Rage DLC will only target turrets summoned by the caster.
• Shadow Transposition will only target shadows summoned by the caster.

Allows you to move to a more forgiving permadeath setting when you die.

If you are in Roguelike, you can switch to Adventure and carry on from the Eidolon plane.
If you are a donator, you can switch to Exploration when you die and carry on from the Eidolon plane.

Binds the Zone:create hook. This addon is safe to enable and disable on existing save files, though doing so will not have any effects for characters who have visited the sandworm lair already.

Adds some features to your online character sheet:
- Talent descriptions show when they were first learned, when permanent talent points were put into them, how many talent points were refunded from them, and how many times active talents were used.

Attempts to prevent the "Transmogrification Chest" tab in inventory dialogs from being accidentally deselected after switching to an actor like the Alchemist's golem that doesn't have a transmogrification chest. Also attempts to ensure that the Tinkers tab is not left unselected in the inventory dialog after the player gains talents that make the tab available (for instance, Steamtech/Physics or Steamtech/Chemistry from the Embers of Rage DLC).

Plenum ToolTip Custom Edit: Enhanced Plenum tooltip display for ToME version 0.3 for ToME 1.6.1

This addon replaces the normal tooltip for actors in TOME with a more detailed description of monster abilities and characteristics. It adds to the standard tooltip detailed information on speed, main-hand, off-hand, and ranged damage, and damage modifiers and extra crit power, including damage penetration and damage affinities, plus retaliation damage, depending on what options are selected (from a tab in Game Options menu). This makes it much easier to inspect multiple monsters and quickly identify the most threatening. By holding a meta-key (ctrl, alt, or shift) and hovering the mouse over a monster, information on its status immunities and talents is displayed.

In addition, information on temporary terrain features (like smoke and darkness) and map effects (from spells and the like) will be displayed in the terrain tooltip if the appropriate options are enabled.

This is a fork (with permission) of Marson's auto-explore and rest tweaks. It includes as well C.Lowe/CaptainTrip's improvements as well. It does not include, but recommends also using Johnny0's Faster RRE add-on for even better rest and auto-explore experience. This add-on contains numerous Quality of Life improvements designed to make resting and auto-exploring easier to use, brings the add-on overall up to being compatible with 1.6.x, and generally seeks to remove it being more optimal to do timed rests or manual recovery (particularly to help higher difficulty level and players without Faster RRE). Cleaned up feature list in this take, to make it easier to see what it does.

It is recommended to turn off Marson's Rest and Auto-Explore as well as C.Lowe's Rest Tweaks if using. This addon is meant to include all of them.

Latest Update Notes:
• Changed steam sustain behavior to match current gameplay. Before sustains tended to shut off when available resource was 0, now they don't seem to do so. This will now only turn off sustains that drain steam if steam is going below 0, so as to get to a steady finish state.
• Fix minor bug where stealth enabling was always on if you had it.
• Added new option to ignore quest members when resting or exploring. It defaults to off but for those folks that know they want to ignore those quest allies and rest a bit.

Existing Features:
• removed First Sighting and Reset on Rest. Someone can patch them in if they'd like it back, but I'm not really keeping them alive.

• When resting, it will check for infusions and runes that could be used to accelerate HP, Mana, or Equilibrium (via Ancestral Life or Meditation) recovery. If the acceleration appears significant, it will use them, rotating from first available infusion or rune outward. In experiment, I found this often reduced rest turn time by 50-80 percent, improving the more drained the resource was. Particularly helpful for Mana, as it avoids trade-off advantages of short term resting (for increased mana regen) + rune use by just handling that more optimal play for you automatically without breaking rest.
• Support for steam implants, with usual checkboxes. This may not always be faster based on steam sustains that may disable after the initial round of rest and steam implants having very long cooldowns (30+ turns) and steam's resource max being pretty small. It tries to be conservative on that, so will most likely help for cases where your functional steam regen rate is < 2.00 and never activate for things much above it. I found I was often getting 5-20 steam per turn, which makes the implant support useless.
• Supports for medical healing salve injectors. Cooldown measurements are a bit odd here, since they can range from 5-20 depending on injector. Went with 10 as a happy medium for how many turns of natural regen is considered to be equal to the cooldown cost of using it.
• Adding support to auto-stealth if available and not stealthed.
• Option for ignoring small damage when moving and resting, basically if it is <5%, it will ignore it by default, prevent small DoTs from preventing rest.
• Options added to control whether or not to use inscriptions to accelerate recovery of things.
• Fixes a ToME bug that can cause autoexplore or running to move only a single square and hang if used immediately after killing an enemy.
• Lore discovery will only stop autoexplore if it triggers a popup.
• Autoexplore will ignore Exploratory/Infinite Farportal return portals until the entire level has been explored.
• Ignores special terrain features such as Font of Healing after they are first discovered.
• Ignores open chests and alt Maze floor cracks.
• Rest and AE ask for confirmation if you have an escort in your party.
• Ignore already activated pedestals.
• Checks for and waits on any rechargeable items.
• Checks for and reloads any ammo in offhand quiver.
• Waits for cooldowns of talents set to auto-use.
• Waits for depleted air to replenish.
• Combines all checks into a single instance of rest, rather than having cooldowns etc. require a second resting phase.

Determines how auto-explore and running respond to telepathy, including mouse moves. Regardless of the setting, hostiles seen via telepathy will not halt resting or the Rod of Recall, nor trigger automated talents. Unique or powerful monsters (rank > 3) will always trigger a halt to running when they are spotted via telepathy for any mode except 'Original'.

• Telepathy will not prevent auto-exploring the way normal sight will. If a halt is triggered by telepathy, hitting auto-explore again will move you at least one more square in the direction of the auto-explore path. - After generating the world map, using zone exits or recalling allows you to teleport to most reachable zones, instead of having to walk through the world map. Recalling can still drag doomelves/doombringers/demonologists to the Anteroom of Agony, and the teleportation won't let you bypass Crypt of Kryl'Feijan, Godfeaster, or the Dreadfell ambush.

- Maj'Eyal characters start with the Orb of Communication, which can be used to contact the alchemists, Elder of Last Hope, Protector Myssil, and Zemekkys when appropriate.

- Achievement pop-ups and announcing your own achievements in chat can be disabled in the game UI and Online options, respectively.

- Added an easily toggleable "digging mode" that automatically uses your Dig talent when you move into a diggable wall with no hostiles in sight.

UPDATE: I've added the ability to modify stat and level maximums. I have also added the ability to customize which levels stats, talents, talent types, and prodigies are gained at. This allows for alternative leveling schemes such as gaining 2 class points on every even level and 2 generic points every odd level. For example, the max/milestone level could be set to 100, xp gain at 300, and all intervals doubled with alternating offsets for a faster early game, a slower late game, and increased potential for early game specialization.

Adds an option to the Online tab that can disable the broadcasting of death messages. Additionally, can suppress death messages for characters under a specific level.

Adds a UI element to display the predicted order of character turns for the next three turns.
If you hover over a talent in your hotkey bar, your position in the tracker will be updated based on the speed of that talent.
If you hover over a creature in the turn tracker, they will get a small indicator over them on the map, to help identifying identical creatures.
Creatures with high speeds are marked with a small '+' icon.

NOTE: The game itself is not necessarily consistent about who goes first if two creatures are tied in energy.

Temporarily fix the water rendering error on some GPU, that will caused map with water being flooded.
It will disable water shader (data/gfx/shaders/water.frag), without the need to turn off all advanced OpenGL shaders.
I don't know about OpenGL shader programming, so it will just be a temporary treatment.

Makes ToME4 run faster:

1. Add cache for particle & shader effects, thus reduce the delay of IO & parsing lua files, especially when there are many mobs around.
2. Reduce the frequency of the 'hit warning' particle effect when player get hit.
3. Adjust the recent combat log dialog to make it scroll faster.
4. Adjust the recent game log record to make it slightly faster in game.

It is compatible with 1.7.4.

Significantly increases the number of items available for purchase in all shops, and allows some higher-quality items.

Players can set the number of items with the new option appearing in the 'Game Options/Gameplay' tab.

Changes Temporal Warden's - Warden's Call talent to solve memory issues
and make the game enjoyable & playable with Temporal Wardens with Threaded Combat. Added compatibility to adventurer builds.

Updated to fix some issues with tradewind rider's fix

Warden's Call now do not create a new actor (paradox clone) on each trigger,
but instead the player will instantly make a forced attack against the target.

The conditions for triggering are the same as for the paradox clones,
and during these forced attacks, the player:

- do warden swap
- moved to the locations, so it's not a teleport
- invulnerable
- has all effect immunity
- do not consume ammo
- reset weapon folding cooldowns
- making the forced attack with the same generic damage penalty when it is melee
- extra chance to not make a ranged attack equal to the damage penalty, since the damage penalty doesn't seem to work for arrows
- moved back
- do warden swap back <-Update: swap weapon if a swap did occur, fixes some problems when non-dual wielding/ not using bows
- TODO: restore weapon folding cooldows

I hope this solves the issues and making the game with Temporal Wardens more enjoyable. :)
The added changes make this talent mostly compatible with adventureres as well.

Makes alchemists focus on creating elixirs that you are not currently helping them with.
In the base game, when you hand in ingredients to an alchemist, another alchemist completes one of his remaining elixirs at random.
What this addon does is remove the elixir that you are already helping them with from the possible elixirs to be chosen unless it is their last elixir.

• Allows healing and regeneration while in a possessed body.
• Removes restrictions on the number of creature types that can be possessed.
• Adds useful information to various Possessor-related dialogs and talent tooltips.

Modifies certain quest artifacts so that using them while no hostiles are in line of sight does not break stealth. Currently supported:

Forbidden Cults tweak that adds lore drops containing the random artifact codes that exist for the Occult Egress. This doesn't give you any more artifacts than you would normally get, but makes them easier to find.

Improvements to the escort system. Adds a bunch of new types of escorts, and increases the power and number of options for existing escorts. Additionally learning new categories unlocks them by default, or can improve your mastery if you already know them. Also gives escorts 1000 base Life and 100 base life regen so they don't die from a sneeze. This is a fork of Movarc'h's Impoved Escorts by mannendake. Credit to Disnag for necromancer escort and Movarc'h for the base addon. Also credits to Bamboo's fork.

Makes the stats displayed when viewing a weapon's name more accurately reflect the damage it would deal if you were to wield it. Should not have any major compatibility issues with other addons.

Provides an interface to interact with party members similar to the Interact with the Golem talent, by which yo ucan alter their equipment or spend their talent points. Also adds additional functionality like applying a rune or infusion directly to a party member, or managing its talent point plan in conjunction with the Talent Point Planner addon. Standard actions from the "Give order" dialog can also optionally be included, controlled by game option "Gameplay | Include party orders in interaction dialogs".

The interaction dialog is bound to Alt-Shift-I by default, and can also be accessed by right-clicking on a suitable party member on the map or via the "Interact with Party Members" action on the main game menu.

(NOTE: If you are using this addon in conjunction with the Talent Point Planner addon, you will need to upgrade the latter to release 10.8.3 or higher for compatibility.
