Strategy

Stunning Blow and Death Dance are two early game talents that scale well with added class points, creating higher damage and a longer stun. While Death Dance has high damage output its range is small. Unlocking Bloodthirst at level ten is a very good choice. There are three passive talents here: Blood Bath, Mortal Terror, and Blood Rage, all of which will help increase your character's lifespan.

Like Brawler, Breserker has access to some mobility skills, like Rush. These help you to close the gap on tough mobs, hop away from sustaining AoE and regroup with your shorter cooldowns ready.

The Combat Techniques tree can be often overlooked, but the passives - the ones that increase your stamina and health regereration - are quite powerful and can relieve the need for regeneration via inscriptions for more powerful inscriptions, though regeneration runes can make a Berseker even harder to kill. Having two regeneration runes makes it double-hard, and by unlocking an extra inscription slot and you could add a movement or shield rune as well. However there are still some interesting categories to unlock such as the Warcries tree, which will give you Battle Shout and Second wind; both talents are nice.

Berserker has access to many passive talents, such as Weapons Combat and Weapons Mastery, followed by constitution passives and massive armor. Field Control gives you access to another often-overlooked high-tier talent in Track which gives you the ability to see what you're going to be rushing into before doing it.

A good strategy for most of the game is to limit your line of sight. Fighting enemies in a place where only a few monsters could ever see you. This becomes more important as you get into the later levels as you want to limit the number of incoming ranged and magic attacks. Those are the two things that will kill you fast throughout most of the game. Later however melee damage from monsters such as other elite Berserkers can hit extremely hard so you want to be careful around them. Otherwise, Bersserkers can go toe-to-toe with everything else, slaying them in just a few swings. Keeping perfect positioning is key when playing Berserker, which could yet another good reason to pick up Field control (as talked about earlier.)

It can also be noted that Berserker can unlock archery talents as well. The cost to make this an effective method of combat is high, however. A critical strike build is possible too if you were to unlock Dirty Fighting. All of these options makes it a robust class and a solid choice for many races.
