Possessor is a class introduced in an official addon, available only to donators (buying the game on Steam, etc, counts as a donation). It does not need to be unlocked. You must be online when starting a game as a Possessor.

Random bosses cannot be Possessors.

Description

BEWARE: This class is very strange and may be confusing to play for beginners.

Possessors are a rare breed of psionics. Some call them body snatchers. Some call them nightmarish.

They are adept at stealing the corpses of their foes for their own use, discarding their own bodies for a while to use another's.

Their most important stats are: Willpower and Cunning

Possession

Possessors can use their Possess talent to steal the bodies of creatures they defeat, and store the bodies in their Bodies Reserve.

They can then use Assume Form to inhabit the bodies. Possess can only steal the bodies of creatures of certain types.

"Humanoid" and "animal" are always available, and you can permanently learn a certain number of extra types (depending on Possess talent level) by trying to possess creatures of new types.

If all the extra types have been chosen, you cannot steal the bodies of creatures of other types.

Starting Equipment

  • Iron Mace (wielded)
  • Mossy Mindstar (wielded)
  • Linen Robe (worn)
  • Mossy Mindstar x2 (in secondary slots)
  • Iron Battleaxe (in inventory)

Starting Bodies in Reserve

You start with the following bodies in reserve:

  • Spiderkin
  • Vermin

Other creature types do exist, but only on special creatures, and none of those creatures can be possessed (either inherently or by circumstance).
