About Gnomes:

Gnomes are distant relatives of Halflings, albeit a tad smaller in stature and much weaker physique. In the world of Maj_Eyal, not much is known about them for simple reasons: they usually don't leave home to go on adventures, much less to take part in heroic endeavours. People commonly mistake Gnomes for extraordinary small and malformed Halflings, even if that is far from being the truth. The existence of Gnomes as a proper subspecies has passed history unnoticed for centuries, while they lived peacefully, silent and hidden within Halfling society, dedicating their lives to the study of the physical, magical and historical dimensions of Maj'Eyal.

In theory, however, gnomes make great adventurers. While they lack any of those physical attributes, that are commonly associated with a lifestyle dedicated to performing heroic deeds, they got the ability to gain advanced knowledge about almost anything related to skillful adventuring. They start their career with two instead of just one racial talent trees and are able to learn new talent types not available to their choosen class. As a result, they make for very flexible game play, but they are challenged by a low life-rating.

Gnomes now offer a truly experimental game experience. Gnomes get two racial trees:

- one tree allows them to learn just about any talents associated to different meta themes (they can learn one type each of these groups: technique/cunning, spell/celestial/chronomancy, psionic/wild-gifts, cursed/corruption).

- the other tree provides general offensive and defensive benefits as well as resource (stamina, mana, psi, equilibrium) regeneration.

As a result, playing as a gnome makes it possible to spice up just about any class with new talent combinations normaly only experienced when playing the Adventurer class.

Additonaly, gnomes still start with their Gnomish Pocket Encyclopedia - an item, which at level 30 allows them to pick one further talent type from about just any category (excluding stone wardens talents).

Modifies the character creation dialog to bypass the lock check for campaigns and difficulty levels, allowing characters to play campaigns and difficulty levels that you haven't unlocked. Doesn't actually unlock anything.

Adds the Prowler subclass, a hybrid Wilder that uses stealth and mobility to take down their foes. Uses a combination of standard Rogue and Wilder talents, four new Wild-Gift trees and two new Technique trees. Prowlers are wild-rogues that focus on agile melee combat with psiblades or daggers and use their strong will to augment their abilities and call nature to their bidding.

Modifies the Fungal Growth talent so that its triggered regeneration effect does not block other regeneration effects.

Sholtar have no racial talents of their own; instead, the four slots can be used to learn talents from defeated enemies (of a high enough rank). In this manner, the Sholtar can improve nearly any class by adding abilities from other calsses, or even talents that are normally exclusive to NPCs.
Sholtar are not quite as hardy as other humans, and receive -2 to strength, dexterity and constitution, and have a life rating of 8. On the other hand, they are exceptionally quick-witted, with a bonus of +6 to cunning, an extra generic point every 3 levels, and an experience 'penalty' of -20%.

The Sholtar were once a great nation, with many vasts cities in the southeastern regions of Maj'Eyal. In spite of the harsh, dry terrain they inhabitied, or perhaps because of it, they were a people of great ingenuity and adaptability.

The Cataclysm which tore the world apart centuries ago swept nearly all of the Sholtar lands into the murky depths, and all but erased their people from the face of Eyal.

While very few survived, those who did fought for survival with all of the wit and grit that was their birthright. An already adaptable people grew to become even more adaptable through neccessity, and it has become their greatest strength.

Sholtar are able to learn abilities by carefully studying others, and, regardless of their class, they can always improve by incorporating the talents of others into thier skill set.

Adds additional fire and darkness trees for defiler classes, and the emblazoned class, who uses a mixture of them and Uhr'rok talents.

Adds in a new Undead race, Ghost. Ghosts have a life rating lower than that of yeeks, but ghosts make up for this by sharing damage with their mana pool.
Being a ghost gives them access to certain categories, Ghosts can gain the following categories; Aegis, Cursed-Aura, Gloom, and Fears.

Adds Raccoonian as a playable race, a forest creature with keen senses.Raccoonians are usually timid and reclusive, albeit some individuals crave for a more adventurous lifestyle. They possess agile limbs, natural cunning, keen senses and strong bonds with their animal ancestry. They do not practice arcane magic and have no talent for it.

Creates a setting under Game Options/Gameplay for selecting the
first escort that will spawn.

This is intended to allow players to make characters that rely on a certain
escort reward without having to reroll repeatedly or savescum to get what they
need, but not gain the advantage of selecting ALL the escorts to get the best
possible reward every time. With this addon, only the first escort to spawn
will be of the selected type; all others will be randomly selected.

An advantage of this over addons that allow selecting the escort type when it
spawns is that it is less likely to cause bugs. This addon does not create a
new in-game menu, but rather handles selection through the settings menu.
Escorts are generated using the standard quest code.

Adds a new race for the undead: Wraiths. Wraiths are incorporeal creatures born of evil and darkness. Features custom racial talents.

Adds the Stoneshaper, a wild caster. Stoneshapers manipulate terrain, creating or destroying it at need, and have been known to forge formidable weapons from stone.

Adds Mummies as a new type of undead that cripple their enemies and overcome any obstacle.

Entangle wraps up an enemy, slowing them, with a low cooldown.
Inevitability wears away at the resistances of your enemies as your own resistances mount.
Uniquely, they have a small secondary racial tree that removes detrimental effects.

Mummies begin in their own starter zone, a low-level dungeon reminiscent of both the Blighted Scar and the Elven Ruins.

Mummies are initially locked, and unlock by defeating the Mummy Lord

It also grants Sun and Glyphs to Sun Paladin at 1.3 mastery.
Reworks Chants and Hymns, and buffs Sunburst.

Drowning gets you good items but walking the whole big towns searching for rares is tedious.
Enter Round'em Up, which lines them nicely for you to see at once.
Changes are made only to towns where drowning is possible.
Good synergy with Marson's Character Recycler which lets you restart by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L instead of suiciding.

It works by overloading the town file with changed npc generation boundaries.

I'm a programming noob (or even less), so go easy on me. There should be no errors though, only changes are 4 number values for each town.

PS. I can't help but feel there was a better way of doing this. Sorry this addon is so heavy.

New characters in Maj'Eyal start out with the Rod of Asphyxiation, an item made to quickly drown npcs.

Reworks the Higher racial tree.

Gift of the Highborn: For the next 10 turns, heal whenever you use a talent, based on its cost.

Are you tired of needing to rescue a Warrior escort before you can train Exotic Mastery? Then this is the addon for you!

This addon gives access to the Exotic Weapons Mastery talent by default so it can be trained on any character with Technique/Combat Training. It should be compatible will all other addons.

Contains a new hybrid class, combination of wilder and defiler that focuses on debuffs. Note:Equilibrium is increased by 5x the amount of Vim used.

Significantly increases the number of items available for purchase in all shops, and allows some higher-quality items.

Players can set the number of items with the new option appearing in the 'Game Options/Gameplay' tab.

The Lost City of Vulcus

Some events in history are of such importance and have such wide ranging ramifications that they become fixed points -- junctions in time that must and will happen in order to maintain the integrity of the chronoverse.

Lost ages ago, Vulcus was considered by many to be the greatest center of Dwarven learning below the surface. Even up until the fall of Reknor in recent times, however, Dwarven innovation and breakthroughs continued, seemingly by miracle. Fate, however, dictates that one of the greatest untold secrets of the Empire cannot remain hidden forever. Perhaps you will be chosen to take part in this crucial point in history -- to reap the rewards or to suffer the consequences.

This addon incorporates a new major event (like the drake cave or fearscape invasion portal) that has a chance to occur (possibly more than once) on each level in various zones (Infinite Dungeon, Spellblaze Scar, Ardhungol, High Peak, Reknor, Shadow Crypt). Within the game, this event is most like a combination of the Lost Merchant and Limmir quests, and is intended to replace those for characters in the I.D.

Recommended level 10+ (depending on class). The intended difficulty is slightly higher than the Limmir quest, and there are gradations of success. Participating in the event when it spawns is completely optional and you can do it later if desired.

This is possibly the most complex encounter in ToME, with a large number of NPCs, enhanced AI, and various terrain effects. It is compute heavy and will tax slower computers (even with reduced graphics settings).

Allows characters to fully respec anywhere in game, not just in towns.

This is a highly extensive "unofficial DLC" that takes the summonable creatures from the Summoner class and turns them into fully-talented, highly-comprehensive classes with their story and unique events.
This pack features the ranged summons: Hydra, Fire Drake, and Flamespitter Ritch.

Moves fatigue from light boots to gauntlets.

Adds two races, one class, a new town, and a new low level dungeon. Completing a quest to explore the new dungeon unlocks purchasable perks in the town. This quest is the starting quest for the added races, but anyone can access an alternate version of the quest with the same rewards. Look toward the coast east of Last Hope to get started.

Available perks (cost varies):
Reveal Exotic Weapons Mastery (must already know Combat Training; Combat Training can also be purchased as per Last Hope shops).

Gain the ability to invest in Heavy Armour Training and equip mail(heavy) armor by meeting the requirement with the highest of Constitution and Dexterity (or Strength, as usual).

Gain bonus attack and movement speeds and a chance to evade incoming damage while wearing mail(heavy) armor. These values scale with Dex and Con, respectively.

Learn (locked or unlocked) a new Psionic/Mindstar combat talent tree. Similar to Wild-Gift/Mindstar mastery, this tree also has a Psiblades sustain. Once learned, you can also pay to boost mastery (as with Mindstar mastery from Zigur).

Psionic/Mindstar combat:

Psiblades:
Increases damage and physical power when attacking with Mindstars. When sustained, increases the damage modifiers and mind stats granted by equipped mindstars (this is an exact copy of the wild-gift/mindstar mastery psiblades talent).

Mind Thorns:
Instantly touch the mind of an adjacent foe, creating mental thorns which reduce mind save and deal mind damage each turn for a few turns.

Mind Storm:
Create a storm of psionic energy which lasts for a few turns. The storm will overheat the mind of foes in the area, causing them to burn (stacking). Allies in the area will be obscured by illusions, reducing the bonus damage of critical hits dealt to them.

Psionic Balance:
Attack an adjacent enemy with your mainhand Psiblade and channel the energy through your offhand to create a psionic damage shield around an ally or yourself. The power of the shield is based on the damage of the attack and can be a mental critical. The shielded target will also regain an amount of Psi based on the damage of the attack.

Races:

The Naloren are elven race with an affinity for water who are adept with mail armor, whips and tridents. They are also known for their bountiful spirit and superb flexibility.
Talents:

Spirit of the Tides:
Gain X charges of Surging Spirit for 5 turns. Charges will be consumed as you activate talents to reduce their cooldown by one turn per charge.

Spirited Combat:
Gain X% armor hardiness in all types of armor and a Y% Constitution damage modifier for all weapons.

Cleansing Water:
When you are afflicted with a detrimental effect you have a X% chance to create a 1-tile pool of Cleansing Water within 2 tiles of yourself. Moving into Cleansing Water will consume it to cleanse the detrimental effect with the highest duration currently afflicting you. This has a cooldown (3).

Whitewater:
Call on the surging tides to aid you, creating radius X pool of rushing water lasting for 6 turns. Moving within Whitewater is instant for you. Foes will have a 50% chance with each movement within Whitewater to flounder, draining 50% of a turn and leaving them Dazed for 1 turn.

Stats:

+ 4 Con, +4 Dex, -1 Cun, -1 Str, -1 Mag, +10 life rating, 10% increased global speed, 15% xp penalty.

The Freeks are a tribe of Yeeks who broke free from The Way. They are still strong psionics, but their minds have been irreparably shattered.
Talents:

Unbound Mind:
Remove up to X silence and confusion effects from yourself and increase your silence and confusion immunities by 100% for a few turns. When activated, all foes in range 8 are afflicted with Shattered Mind for the same duration, giving them a chance each turn to become dazed or confused(35%) for 2 turns.

Partition:
Increases resistance to all damage and decreases the duration of negative effects.

Hasty:
Gain a passive mind speed bonus. If you are afflicted by 4 or more negative effects, the passive speed bonus will temporarily be doubled and any actions (attacks, spells, movement, etc) will use your mind speed if it is faster than the usual speed.

Schism:
Create up to 3 illusions of yourself adjacent to foes within range 10 that will taunt enemies for a few turns.

Stats:
-2 Con, +0 Dex, +3 Cun, +0 Str, +1 Mag, +3 Wil, +9 life rating, -10% xp 'penalty', -15% confusion immunity.

Target a foe and disrupt their next talent with a blast of physical damage. At level 3+ adds confuses. At 5+ has a passive chance to block damage over a threshold, blast the source, and disrupt the source talent.

Puncture:
Deal physical damage with added bleeding damage. At level 3+ has a chance to disrupt temporary buffs on the target. Direct damage bypasses ice blocks.

Psionic Striking

Kinetic Blast:

 Deal physical damage and pin. Frozen targets take extra damage and both hits bypass the ice block.

Thermal Blast:
Deal fire damage and cold damage and freeze. If target is pinned, pull in nearby enemies and freeze them to the ground for a few turns.

Charged Blast:
Deal lightning damage and shock (reduce stun/pin resist by half). If target is pinned, boost Charge Shield value. If target is frozen, push nearby enemies away from you.

Psi Weaving:
Increased Fire, Cold and Lightning damage and res pen. Also applies to physical, but at half the value.

Altered Talents
Beyond the Flesh:
TK mindstars now project a blast of damage instead of pulling enemies. Chance, range and damage scale with mindstar tier (damage also scales on Mindpower). Active Aura damage is added to the blast at 2 times the usual power.

Quick as Thought:
Also increases mental crit chance.

Mindhook:
Can also target a wall to pull yourself.

Resonant Focus:
TK mindstars have increased chance to blast and also increase the radius of Voracity talents and the range non-melee mind powers.

Frenzied Focus:
TK mindstars attempt to blast all foes in range and Aura damage is added at 4 times the usual power.

Transcendent Telekinesis:
Resets Kinetic Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Physical while in effect. Kinetic Blast will also strike two random foes adjacent to the target.

Transcendent Electrokinesis:
Resets Charged Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Lightning while in effect. Charged Blast will also chain to 3 nearby enemies.

Static Net:
Static Charge is released with your next Telekinetic Crush or Charged Blast.

Transcendent Pyrokinesis:
Resets Thermal Blast, Telekinetic Crush and Puncture. Converts all damage to Fire or Cold (based on your increased damage) while in effect. Thermal Blast cold/freeze will hit in a radius 1 ball.

This adds the Spell/Conveyance tree as a reward for completing the Tempest Peak questline for Angolwen. All the code is borrowed from DG's own, and thus everything works the same as antimagic characters getting Fungus.

Adds the Viper class, an archer wilder who possesses great speed and access to nature damage.

Adds the White Monk, a warrior subclass.

The White Monk wields no arms, instead using intense focus and training to turn their body into a weapon. They fend off enemy blows with their immense willpower and can preform healing and regenerative rites. Primary stats are Dexterity and Willpower. White Monks have the unique ability to project unarmed melee attacks at a distance, with talents that allow them to strike many targets in a area, as well. White Monks have a base damage modifier for hand gear of 60% Dex and 60% Wil, and gain some of the same benefits to unarmed attacks as Brawlers.

Includes seven new talent trees and incorporates a few existing trees from Warrior and Rogue classes.

Rending - Attack your foes from afar and sap their energy.

Mending - Heal and cleanse yourself and even prepare a rite that can ward off death itself.

Fending (generic) - Ward off enemy assaults, directing some damage to your stamina pool.

Agile Combatant - Move across the battlefield with unmatched agility.

Martial Arts - Master the art of unarmed fighting and gain bonus strikes from your attacks.

Black Belt (locked) - Learn advanced fighting techniques to cripple your foes and react with finely honed reflexes.

Transcending(locked) - Directly manipulate your foes' spirits to sap their energy and learn to project your spirit to assail all nearby foes.

Bonelings move slowly, are prone to kiting, and can only spread to tiles adjacent to themselves.

All Bonelings despawn together after a Minor to Moderate duration.

Overload target Boneling with extra Vim, causing it to explode for High Physical damage in a small radius. The primary explosion can hurt friendlies.

Additionally, upon learning this talent, any Bonelings that die via any means explode for Minor Physical damage in a radius of 1. The secondary explosion does not hurt friendlies.

Collar Bone

Must target foe that is surrounded by at least 2 Bonelings.

All adjacent Bonelings sacrifice themselves to attach to target foe, reducing their damage dealt for 5 turns by a Moderate value.
The act causes the foe to Bleed for major damage for 5 turns.

Both values increase based on the number of sacrificed Bonelings.

You have learnt to intwine yourself with your Bonelings.
Whenever a new Boneling is spawnt, you reduce the cooldown of Bone Carver by 1. (Or regain 1 Vim if it isn't cooling down.)
Whenever a Bonelings expires in Melee range of you, you heal for Minor Life.
At Talent Level 5, any Bonelings in melee range of yourself can absorb an incoming debuff, destroying themself in the process.

Adds the Cunning/Poisons tree as a reward from Assassin Lord for siding with him. Increasing Cunning/Poisons and Cunning/Trapping, if already known.

- This addon introduces a new variant of vault, the bazaar, where you don't fight for items, but rather buy (or steal) them.

- A central aspect of this addon is a new questline (consisting of 3 follow-up-quests), which introduces the player to the bazaar-system. The questline starts in the Village of Elvala (look out for a special npc - he will lookout for you as well).

- I took the idea to this addon from starsapphire (Idea : Markets in dungeons! - http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=42553)

------ Details: ------

(1) Bazaars can appear in most dungeons and outdoor zones, which happen to also generate vaults; chances for regular vault-generation aren't being limited. Bazaars won't appear in the East however - tradesmen haven't made it there yet.

(2) Each bazaar contains a shopkeeper and a limited amount of items, which can't be pickuped by normal means (they are chained to the ground). Instead, you either have to pay to be able to pick up such an item - or you try to unchain it (success chances scale with cunning, dexterity and talent points in Heightened Senses and Stealth). Failure to unchain it will trigger a trap which teleports the player (and his party) to a parallel zone ("Mirrorscape").

--> To escape from the Mirrorscape, a special guardian needs to be killed. Alternatively, there are two hidden exit points. The Power of the Guardian scales extremely with the Base-Level of the Zone (Break-Points: Level 20, 30, 50, 70) and the item-quality the trap is based on (unique items are protected by stronger guardians). Killing the guardian allows the player to pick up the item in question.

--> Killing the shopkeeper unchains all item in his shop. Shopkeepers are extremely strong, however.

(3) Additionally, each shopkeeper has a rare ingredient for sale, and some of them also sell maps, which point to special treasure areas in a variety of zones. To find out about these special goods, chat with the vendor. (Again, treasuremaps point only to zones in the West.)

(4)In Elvala starts a questline, which leads to the discovery of a new zone, The Bazaar. Follow-up quests then introduce more in depth to the bazaar system.

(5) Most bazaar-vaults will also be generated inside the Infinite Dungeon - most Treasuremaps also work here.

(6) From time to time, a caravan will spawn on the overworld map. Encountering a caravan is similar to an "Ambush", however without meeting hostile npcs - instead, two shopkeepers will offer their items.

Contains a new mage cass with talents from the Archmage and Necromancer class.

Adds two acid trees for Archmages, allowing them to deal acid damage. Compatible with Arcanum.

Adds the Gladiator, a warrior subclass. Gladiators are weapons experts and can wield one-handed weapons in either hand with ease, however they are also proficient with two-handed weapons and shields.
They learn many techniques for use with Axes, Maces, Swords and even more exotic weapons. Gladiators are able to quickly swap weapons and stack numerous detrimental effects on their foes, then finish them off with skills that grow more deadly the more devastated their enemies become.
Includes six new class trees and one new generic tree, allowing for a variety of builds. Will you wield maces and shields and wear your foes down while sheltered inside your armor or put defense aside, pick up a pair of waraxes and become The Axebutcher?

Removes the tedium of early-game world map navigation.

Choose your Alchemist Elixir quest rewards at character creation, and configure your Rod of Recall to take you directly between pre-Dreadfell points of interest.

This add-on does not affect game balance or difficulty. All races and classes with required starting zones must still complete those before they can take advantage of the new Rod of Recall functionality.

Adds the Afflicted Class, Possessed.

This addon adds in a Faerie, or Fey, race into ToME. This addon was originally created by Kaballah, but he hasn't been online in over a year.
Instead of letting it die (I mean, how could we not be able to play as a Faerie?) I decided to fork it over into a playable form.
I've taken it, modified it's values, and changed it's 4th talent.

The Fey are an incredibly quick and agile race, however they are incredibly fragile.
You will have to make use of their blinding speed to survive encounters.
If you find yourself in trouble, you can spray some Fey Dust onto nearby enemies while you escape.

Dark Faeries are Faeries that have given up much of their natural agility and defense in exchange for bonus offensive potency.
They are extremely frail, even more so than their more agile counterparts, but make up for it with faster offense, higher damage, and many different tricks.
Despite all thoughts otherwise, they are still, mostly, a playful bunch to be around, if not a bit more painful in their method of invitation.

Dark Fey stats:

--The Dark Faerie has lost it's ability to flee, and has been forced to find other methods of survival, in the form of dark magics.
--This talent shows all enemies within a moderate to large radius around yourself.
--Calls forth 3 shadows onto nearby enemies that are in sight.
--Shadows are extremely weak, but make for decent body-blockers.
--Vision Radius, Vision Duration, and Number of Shadow Targets increases with talent level.

-Feyd to Black
--Active
--Call forth the powers of darkness to overflow the battlefield, affecting all Actors in sight range.
--Increase all allies life by a percent of their Max Life. (Including yourself.)
--Decreases all foes life by a percent of their Max Life.
--Blind all foes, even those who cannot normally be blinded.
--This effect's power increases as your life decreases.
--This talent does not proc healing effects, and cannot lower enemies below 10% of their max health.

Adds more Whips and Tridents to the game. Formerly, this was part of my Naloren Race add-on.

Tridents are unchanged, aside from rarity.
As vanilla ToME only has artifact whips, this add-on adds base whips of all teirs. Whips require dexterity, have an 80% dexterity damage modifier, and have a +procs damage accuracy bonus (the same as staves).
Additionally, whips and tridents can be purchased from weapon stores (dagger and mace shops, respectively) and purchased from the rand art merchant. Affected shops have had their inventory size slightly increased to adjust for the greaeter variety.

Credits: I borrowed the whip graphic from grayswandir's Weapon Pack add-on, and bits of code for adding exotics to shops and the rand art merchant from HousePet's Midnight add-on.

Adds a dwarven subrace of ancestral worshippers. Racial talents center around healing and are helpful in surviving the early stages on higher difficulty modes, but lack an offensive punch.

Adds High Wights as a playable race: tough, psionic undead who arise naturally yet stand outside the natural order.

Also adds Forest Wights as a playable race: undead with a connection to fire, light, and nature.

Adds the undead abomination race.

Abominations are the hideous result of callous necromancers fusing several dead bodies or loose appendages into one single being. They can augment themselves by assimilating more body parts to their being, even in the heat of battle. Abominations may grow considerably in size after being created and while such extra size may benefit them, growing too large slows them down.

Their multitude of body parts makes them hardy and difficult to stun and their multitude of heads make their vision difficult to impair, however the vast amount of minds combined can make them more susceptible to confusion effects

They have access to special abomination talents, that improve as they grow in size and constitution.

This addon adds Trolls as a playable race to the game.

Trolls possess the Trollblood talent, which grants them high life-regeneration, but makes them vulnerable to fire.
Their racial abilities scale with their size. A huge troll is a strong troll, but the higher they grow, the deeper they fall.
