Mod that allows you to play as an adventurer who somehow ended up with humanlike intelligence, but the body of a bear.

Bears are an unusual adventurer species. They are unable to use most equipment (hat, lite, amulet, cape and tool only), but are very strong, fast and tough and have a rather powerful racial talent tree.
The mod is an early work in progress. A future development goal is to adjust dialogues and create new scenarios to reflect a bear's limited communication capabilities.

Racial talents
- Maul: You gain two powerful unarmed paw attacks. Despite being unarmed, you can use your paws to perform most attacks that would normally require melee weapons.
- Ironhide: Gain strong defences that scale with physical power, and the ability to treat your tough hide as light armour
- Ursine Ingenuity: Reduce all cooldowns and increase almost all stats granted by the few items you can actually wear
- Huge. Angry. Bear.: You become far larger, faster, tougher, and stronger.

Adds the Orcnac Subrace, the Orc equivilent of a Cornac.

This addon adds Trolls as a playable race to the game.

Trolls possess the Trollblood talent, which grants them high life-regeneration, but makes them vulnerable to fire.
Their racial abilities scale with their size. A huge troll is a strong troll, but the higher they grow, the deeper they fall.

-Monstrous Leap: An active ability to leap and come down with a crash, dealing damage in an aoe! Also gains a bit of size (and damage) when you do!

Next up, we have some nature themed werewolves! They're even green!

-Call the Pack: Exactly what it says on the tin! Call up three wolf friends for a bit to help chow down on your enemies!

Weaver is a Wilder subclass, a resilient unarmed combatant with emphasis of moving around strategically through their set-up battlefield. Their skill sets revolve around arachnids. Laying webs, injecting enemies with poison, beating enemies with your limbs, creating cocoon for later consumption, and more! Their talents mainly uses equilibrium, have huge equilibrium demand yet heavy hitting, and moderate-long cooldown. Some even needs "special charge" to use. So if you decide to become one of the weaver, make sure to use your talents and resources wisely!

Their arachnid nature starts to take shape, modifying their body and giving them the resilience, agility, wisdom, and abilities of a spider.They will even grow spider legs!

As spider would, they grow accustomed in the art of threads and webs. They can trap and disarm their preys, cut them with threads, and eventually encasing them in a cocoon.

wild-gift: dance of the Weaver
These are some of the technique of prey hunting. Begin with an ambush, revel in "the circle of life", hasten their prey to "sleep" with specialized moves, and disable the prey's most annoying sustains!

wild-gift: cocoon utilization
Cocoon is an important resource for the weaver. The liquefied prey inside a cocoon are very nutritious and versatile to use beside hunger filling. The cocoon can nourish the weaver, converted to chemical weapon, and even storing genetic material for backup and cloning.

The thick and strong chitin exoskeleton of the weaver. This gives the weaver their grit and protection against enemies with various means.

Adds the Arcane Archer, a warrior subclass.
The Arcane Archer is exactly as it says on the tin.

Adds all races available in the Arena campaign to the Orcs campaign. You will still need to have a race unlocked in order to play it in the Orcs campaign.

This should work for all DLC races and most addon races, assuming they are not implemented in an unusual way and their addon weight is lower than that of this addon (200000).

Places the entrance to the tinker cave from the Embers of Rage DLC (required) on the world map for all characters in the Age of Ascendancy campaign, without requiring that the character be playing a Tinker class or rescue a tinker escort.

Allow trial and error for character building without restarting new game while minimizing inbalance.

You can respec stats, talents, categories and prodigies freely at any time.
You cannot respec prodigies that cannot be learned with Writhing Ring of the Hunter.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.

- Escorts now follow the player when not close to the portal.

Allows mobs that spawn with an entourage (such as Bandit Lords) for their entourage to be rares or randbosses. !!WARNING!! increases difficulty swing massively, especially early on.

This addon requires the Ashes of Urh'Rok DLC to function.

Adds the race of Doomlings, demon-corrupted halflings, wielding destructive corrupted versions of the original halfling talents.

Doomlings begin in the Searing Halls, and thus can get kidnapped by demons at high level.
Doomlings are unlocked along with Doomelves.

Racial Abilities

• Curse of the Little Folk - Lower an enemy's saves, defenses, and damage dealt for 5 turns.
• Unflinching - Taking a lot of damage at once removes movement-impairing effects or briefly makes you immune to them.
• Predatory Mindset - Deal more damage when you can see exactly one enemy.
• Doom Hunt - Focus on an enemy so you can see no one else, also negating its stealth and lowering its effect immunities.

Adds the Deathknight class. See forum thread for details.

Adds two class evolutions for Archer, the Quickshot and the Munitions Expert.

As a Quickshot, the Archer gains the ability to equip a second quiver/pouch in the tool slot and has a 50% chance on archery hit to trigger a shot using ammo from your tool slot.

Hey! I decided to post a beta in the hopes of getting some inspiration and feedback on various mechanics. Everything from talent names to design goals to specific trees is appreciated :)

The infected is afflicted by various infections; unique diseases which they spread to their enemies upon touch. These slow, durable melee fighters can use both attacks and magic to afflict their enemies with a plethora of diseases, eventually killing anything. They lack mobility but have many ways to heal and reduce damage. Infected relies on strength, magic and constitution.

• Note: This overloads the Corruption/Scourge tree, meaning it will be changed for the reaver class too. The only change is that the talents useable even if you don't dual wield.

The infected is intended to be a tanky melee/spellcasting class that slowly stack up infections (their unique diseases) and debuffs over time versus stronger enemies, while using their weapons or magic to deal with weaker ones.

Intended Strengths:

+ Has damage smear, which makes infected really hard to burst in a single round.

+Great healing and durability.

+ Good damage after a while, unlike bulwark where you get fights that just seem to go on forever.

Intended Weaknesses:
-Low mobility
-No powerful cc.
-Unable to quickly burst enemies
-Weak aoe.
-Deals a mix of physical, blight and acid damage, making it harder to stack damage modifiers.

Have I managed/failed to achieve any of these? Are some of these are just bad ideas?

--- Problems, Plans and Thoughts ---
-I've made some changes since I last playtested it. In particular I just added the Curses and trees in order to try them out. Should they stay, be locked or removed?
-Infected is too tanky at early levels. I'm not sure about how it is later in the game (haven't tried far east yet).
-I'm considering whether to keep the doom shield tree, replace it with a similar tree, or simply remove it.
-Cyst burst deals way too much burst damage. I'm considering whether to nerf the damage or replace it with another ability which spreads diseases. Catelepsy will be removed.
-The last 2 talent in the conditioning tree do basically nothing for this class. Arguably the second one, unflinching resolve, doesn't either, but I would like to make it work somehow since I think it's a fun talent.

-Currently "damaging" infection is the infection that deals the majority of the damage, I'll probably revert to an earlier version where each infection did damage. As soon as I've come up with a fix for the synergy it has with osmosis shield.

Adds the Steam Witch, a Tinker sub-class. The Steam Witch was born into time magic but found the ordered ways of the Wardens boring and struck out to find a path of their own. Travelling through time and space they found an affinity for technology and integrated their time magic with steam mechanisms.

Steam Witches are a ranged attack and spell casting class. Their tl;dr description is ‘magical Psyshot’. Class highlights:

Mystic Combat: Steam Witches fight with a steamgun in one hand and a dagger in other, projecting ranged dagger attacks when attacking with the steamgun. Successful dagger attacks will trigger additional effects based on a selected Touch ability (possible magical attack, magic enhancement, or lifesteal regeneration).
Timegear: Use steam-powered devices that are infused with magical effects.
Hexes: Cast hexes on enemies to render them vulnerable to damage types. Later abilities add damage-over-time and effect vulnerabilities to hexes, plus a special attack based on the hexes a target is afflicted with.
Witchbrews: Customize your character build with one of three Brew sustains that enhance either combat, magic, or steampower.
Future Relics: Activate powerful offensive and defensive abilities that require a turn and a large amount of steam to charge up.
Time Magic: Phase away from enemies, deflect and delay damage, repair your timeline, summon a spider familiar, and create walls out of thin air! Be careful though, as Steam Witches lack the rigorous training of Chronomancers and thus do not benefit from and have less control over Paradox.
Clockwork Menagerie: Command an array of mechanical creatures just short of a winged monkey with cymbals.

Allows the player to pick two classes, but the difficulty scales upward. (Original by StarKeep, modded by Raenarill).
You advance twice as fast, and gain two thirds more talent points. You also gain six talent category points: at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60.
After level 66, you gain one class talent point per level and one generic every two out of three levels.

Stoics are warriors who dedicate their lives to mastering countless secret techniques.
Their wide variety of abilities allows them to fight their way out of any situation.
However, in order to fight at full effectiveness, they must first focus and steel themselves against the battle to come. Exceptionally skilled Stoics are said to infuse their attacks with elemental powers to create radical new fighting styles.

Stoics are a warrior subclass inspired by the Samurai class from Hengband. They are a melee class with a wide variety of specialized combat techniques, but require judicious use of their unique Focus resource to succeed. Their advanced trees allow them to alter the element of their attacks and grant passive effects as long as the stance is maintained.

Adds Mummies as a new type of undead that cripple their enemies and overcome any obstacle.
They start out weak to fire, but quickly overcome that.

Entangle wraps up an enemy, slowing them, with a low cooldown.

This fork updates Combat Vigor to use 1.7+ dispel, and reduces lash/thrust cooldown to 0 at lv5 so increased attack speed will not lead to downtime. It also adds whip/trident icons to their respective talents so you can tell at a glance which is which.
Adds the Gladiator, a warrior subclass. Gladiators are weapons experts and can wield one-handed weapons in either hand with ease, however, they are also proficient with two-handed weapons and shields.

1) Add Discordant as playable psionic subclass. A psionic tank with death radius around them (think of Mindrot, but less sucky). Wins battle through attrition, melts trash mobs just by standing. Can also spam tele-frags if you feel like it.

More precisely, this race is a Cornac with no starting category point, that has been birthed with the tinker escort category point reward that is granted by the Ancient Automated Teacher, without the 500 gold cost.

I made this race because I wanted a consistent way to obtain tinkers with any non-tinker class, without relying on the tinker escort. The Tinkerer is intended to be a balanced and viable alternative to the Cornac race within the official "Maj'Eyal: The Age of Ascendancy" campaign. When used with a tinker class, this race only grants an additional starting talent point to both Physics/Smith and to Chemistry/Therapeutics.

Feel free to extend/modify this addon as you wish! My further ideas for this race or a similar one would be to add the Engineering and Blacksmith categories as racial talent trees, but adjust their mastery and unlock status based on whether the character is a tinker class or not.

Timeshapers are a variant of Paradox Mage that start off weaker on offence, but stronger on defence.

Vor'tep have a life rating of 13 and an experience penalty of 15% and start with +3STR, +3WIL, +3CON,+3MAG, -2DEX, and -2CUN.

Vor'tep posses the strength and will to wield any one-handed weapon in their offhand innately.

Trollkin Fortitude
For 5 turns, each magical, physical, or mental detrimental effect applied to you by an enemy will have the duration preemptively reduced by X turns or 50% (rounded up), whichever is greater. If this reduces the duration to 0 or less the effect is completely negated. The power of the effect improves with Constitution.

Trollblood
Passively increases life regen by X and healing modifier by Y%.
Scales only on talent level.

Blood Rush
Sustaining this talent will cause talents to cooldown by one turn at the begining of each turn. This will occur regardless of stuns or other effects that would normally reduce or prevent cooldowns. This will not effect talents with a fixed cooldown.
CAUTION:
This will cause you to take X% of your maximum life as irresistible damage on the first turn, increasing each subsequent turn. Each turn the damage dealt will be 15% greater than the turn before. If your life is below 20% of your maximum at the start of a turn, the sustain will automatically deactivate.
The damage of the effect is reduced by Willpower.

Internal Inscription
You are able to internalize a rune or infusion of your choice. Once chosen, the inscription will be triggered instantly when you are below 15% of your maximum life. This has a cooldown and is the only way to activate the inscription.
Cooldown decreases significantly with talent level and is based only on this talent (the original cooldown of the inscription is completely disregarded).

Edits class birth descriptions to ignore the lore-based race checks when assigning the starting zone. It takes talents directly from the subclass/subrace list so it should :

- Bypass race/class compatibility
(Allowing Skeletons to take Wyrmic talents, or Cornacs to use those from the Stone Warden for instance.)

- Take talents trees from NPC only classes/races
(In the base game, that would be the two talent trees of the golem.)

- Ignore the locks
(Allowing Adventurers to use talent trees from classes you haven't unlocket yet, or things like Demented/Scourge Drake.)

Additionally, "undead/lich", "Cursed/Cursed Aura" and talents from the Fallen Paladin can also be selected.

Talents from the Technomancer and the Thaumaturgist dont work without their respective prodigy, so if you want them I recommend this addon : https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/evolve_adven1

It should be compatible with most classes and races from other addons.

A new tinker class, the Demolisher.

This addon requires the Embers of Rage DLC to function.

Demolishers are designed to be a sort of Steam-Caster, using bombs, drones, and their steam-buggy to destroy their enemies rather than weapons.

Adds the Zilquish race, an artificial lifeform created by necromancers based on the accidental birth of the first skeletal ooze. They're tough, and can use natural talents. Comes with one secret unlockable feature, and one less secret unlockable feature! They will be added to the racepack on its next update, but for now here they are alone.

Adds the White Monk, a warrior subclass.

The White Monk wields no arms, instead using intense focus and training to turn their body into a weapon. They fend off enemy blows with their immense willpower and can preform healing and regenerative rites. Primary stats are Dexterity and Willpower. White Monks have the unique ability to project unarmed melee attacks at a distance, with talents that allow them to strike many targets in a area, as well. White Monks have a base damage modifier for hand gear of 60% Dex and 60% Wil, and gain some of the same benefits to unarmed attacks as Brawlers.

Includes seven new talent trees and incorporates a few existing trees from Warrior and Rogue classes.

Rending - Attack your foes from afar and sap their energy.

Mending - Heal and cleanse yourself and even prepare a rite that can ward off death itself.

Fending (generic) - Ward off enemy assaults, directing some damage to your stamina pool.

Agile Combatant - Move across the battlefield with unmatched agility.

Martial Arts - Master the art of unarmed fighting and gain bonus strikes from your attacks.

Black Belt (locked) - Learn advanced fighting techniques to cripple your foes and react with finely honed reflexes.

Transcending(locked) - Directly manipulate your foes' spirits to sap their energy and learn to project your spirit to assail all nearby foes.

Adds Raccoonian as a playable race, a forest creature with keen senses.Raccoonians are usually timid and reclusive, albeit some individuals crave for a more adventurous lifestyle. They possess agile limbs, natural cunning, keen senses and strong bonds with their animal ancestry. They do not practice arcane magic and have no talent for it.

Racial talents:

Raccoonian Malice: Passive. Boosts your racial aptitudes for malice and thievery, increasing cunning and dexterity.Raccoonian Senses: Sustained. Focus on the scents and noises around you, revealing all creatures in a radius which scales with your cunning. Your deep focus will also slow you down while active.Rockstar Raccoon Rampage: Active. Enter a destructive rampage state, boosting your movement speed for a short amount of time. Besides, once per turn you unleash your destructive behaviour, granting a free attack to a random adjacent enemy as phyisical damage.Raccoonian Rage: Passive. Your animal nature makes you react to pain and wounds with a wild frenzy, giving you action speed scaling with your missing live percentage.

Allows schematic-only artifacts from EoR to be learned AoA or Infinite Dungeon. Each one is unlocked randomly by defeating bosses (not elite bosses) above level 20.

Content is modular and various sections can be disabled via the options.

Its an agile nature mage, but can be played as a fighter/mage hybrid, or as a summoner hybrid.
Uses staves, alchemist gems and equilibrium.
Werebeast Class:
Werebeast fits somewhere between Cursed and Wyrmic, with a touch of Rogue thrown in.
Flavour is you have been cursed by nature's hate at those who harm it.
Can be played with conventional weapons or dual mindstars, stealthy or heavy.
Uses both Hate and Equilibrium.
Woodsman Class:
Archery, Summoning and Traps.
Use whatever you need to survive.
Summoner:
A full rework is available.
Allows you to command your critters to attack or defend.
Wyrmic:
A few talents improved and many new categories.
General:
Loads of nature based artifacts.
A few of new inscriptions.
Oozemancer can get the Wild-gift/Symbiant category.
