Audiomancy 1.7.4Version 1.2.1 released Jan 16, 2023; see change notes. Audiomancy is an audio enhancement for ToME that does not affect music. It started with the High Quality Sounds mod (thanks to Gurkoz), but it does a bit more than replace sounds. It enhances the code introducing random variance, layering, and new trigger points. Weapon types (sword, great axe, mace, sling, bows, etc.) have distinct sounds in combat, along with NPC types having different impact sounds. Many weapons have distinct critical hit sounds as well. Ranged weapons have separated attack and hit sounds. Melee and ranged talents you would have expected to produce sound before likely will with this mod. Multiple hits trigger multiple sounds, e.g. the Volley talent. There is still more to do, especially in terms of providing distinct sound effects for various game mechanics and talents, but the code as-is will affect almost every sound played in the game while adding more. I attempted to maximize compatibility, replacing a single function and using superloading and hooking for the rest. Any time a category or tree is learned which is dependant on something specific that you don't already have, one or multiple 'Wanderer' trees will be granted locked as well. These trees are usually at x0.8 mastery, and can have less or more than 4 talents, learnable out-of-order. Wanderer trees can be removed under certain conditions, and this will fully refund category and talent points. The exact conditions are detailed in each tree's description. Every Wanderer now knows the Shoot talent from the get-go, and starts with iron mail armour in addition to everything else. New Gem Types 1.5.10Adds several new gem types and attempts to fill in some gaps in Tiered gem colors; also adds the Crystal race. This is a continuation of jayseesee's original addon. It's my hope that the gems in this release are balanced, consistent across tiers, and useful to a variety of different characters. More tinkers may be added in future versions. Nargol 1.7.4Adds the Nargol as a playable Halfling subrace. Studious to a fault, yet racist to the core, the Nargol empire once dominated Maj'Eyal. Though their superiority complex has been much humbled by the Age of Pyre, their brilliant inquisitive minds have not. Nargol may take any combination of any four talents in their race tree, with more talents being unlocked later. 1. Concentrate: select a non-instant, non-fixed-cooldown talent. That talent will always be cast at effective level 4, but its cooldown will increase proportionally with how many levels this talent is effectively adding. If your selected talent has an effective level over 4, its cooldown will be reduced instead. 1. Space Out: each talent cast will increase your negative life slightly. 2. Recompose: select an activated talent that has a cooldown. If you are affected by any non-other debuffs, using that talent will reduce the duration of each by a percent of that talent's cooldown, spread out across all debuffs affecting you and with a minimum of 1. 3. Practice: select an activated talent with less than 10 turns of cooldown that does not change the world in a permanent way and does not have a fixed cooldown. Each time you kill a creature that is worth experience, the raw level and mastery of this talent will increase to a cap. 4. Hyperfixate: instant sustain. Each turn your talent cooldowns are halved at the cost of burning away your life. In addition, they have a secondary "Imperialist" tree unlocked by wearing the Crown of Command, then unlocking it with a category point: Improved Adventurer 1.7.4Allows adventurers to use talent trees from every classes and races, including those from addons. This addon is designed as a more "addon friendly" alternative to Much more Adventurous. It takes talents directly from the subclass/subrace list so it should : - Bypass race/class compatibility - Take talents trees from NPC only classes/races - Ignore the locks Additionally, "undead/lich", "Cursed/Cursed Aura" and talents from the Fallen Paladin can also be selected. Doombringer Destroyer Reskin 1.7.6This allows Doombringers to select a different Destroyer form than just the Champion of Uhr'rok. Nothing against the Champ, but maybe some characters wanna look a little different when they hulk out. Now, the Destroyer can use any of the various demonic appearances, or even a number of non-demonic forms: a faeros of one size or another, a phoenix, and quite a bit more. Even dragons! (Wyrmics, you had your chance.) The text of Destroyer has been very slightly tweaked to reflect the more general and/or personal effect. I mostly aimed to include fire-elemental stuff, given the class, but there are some selections that don't really slot into either "demon" or "fire" — i.e., if you wanna morph into a big sandworm, that's also cool. I suspect the chosen setting will likely also impact the temporary Destroyer mode granted randomly by demon statues, too, though that's one thing I haven't tested.
