Description

This addon adds the Sapper as a playable class. As it is a Tinker, it will require Embers of Rage DLC to work.

Sappers use their knowledge of steam weaponry to build construct that will fight your foes and destroy the walls of their lair.
They have an automated onarger, serving as a permanent ally. They can manipulate the terrain by digging tunnels and creating impassable pits.
But they are also trained for short range combat and will not hesitate to stick their pickaxe in their enemies' skulls.

They have 9 class trees, including 4 locked ones :
- Battle Machinery
- Siege Engine (new tree) : build 3 different temporary construct that will attack your foes and protect you
- Onager (new tree) : build a permanent construct that will follow you, hurt and disable your foes, and help you reposition
- Tool Combat (new tree) : join the fray, using your knowledge of tools to deconstruct your foes' equipment as you fight, or hit your construct to temporarily improve them instead.
- Death Tools (new tree) : use the carnage of the battlefield to your own advantage

- Trapping (locked)
- Automation (locked)
- Sapper (locked, new tree) : control the field to improve your odds of survival
- Steampunch Arts (locked, new tree) : find new inventive ways to punch your enemies in the face, or embed a pickaxe in their skulls

Adds the Prowler subclass, a hybrid Wilder that uses stealth and mobility to take down their foes. Uses a combination of standard Rogue and Wilder talents, four new Wild-Gift trees and two new Technique trees. Prowlers are wild-rogues that focus on agile melee combat with psiblades or daggers and use their strong will to augment their abilities and call nature to their bidding.

A magical class based on creating and shattering illusions.

Allows schematic-only artifacts from EoR to be learned AoA or Infinite Dungeon. Each one is unlocked randomly by defeating bosses (not elite bosses) above level 20.

Audiomancy is an audio enhancement for ToME that does not affect music. It started with the High Quality Sounds mod (thanks to Gurkoz), but it does a bit more than replace sounds. It enhances the code introducing random variance, layering, and new trigger points. Weapon types (sword, great axe, mace, sling, bows, etc.) have distinct sounds in combat, along with NPC types having different impact sounds. Many weapons have distinct critical hit sounds as well. Ranged weapons have separated attack and hit sounds. Melee and ranged talents you would have expected to produce sound before likely will with this mod. Multiple hits trigger multiple sounds, e.g. the Volley talent. There is still more to do, especially in terms of providing distinct sound effects for various game mechanics and talents, but the code as-is will affect almost every sound played in the game while adding more. I attempted to maximize compatibility, replacing a single function and using superloading and hooking for the rest.

Fixed the attackTarget hook (thank you to "Chief of Kilimanjaro" and "purpel frog" in the ToME Discord); it now properly returns two values. This should fix various misc issues, anything dependent on the second return value.

A new class, a psionic archer who starts with the powers of hypnosis, light telekinesis, and control over fabric.
They use only Psi as their resource.
They are unlocked along with Mindslayers.

Technique/Psychic Marksman - Use willpower instead of strength and focus on shooting extremely accurately.
Technique/Psychic Shots - Shoot arrows that pierce targets, knock enemies around, or change direction midair.
Psionic/Idol - Surround yourself with hypnotic auras. The first 3 talents in this unusual tree can be learned in any order.
Psionc/Noumena - Strange manifestations of energy let you disable enemies and hide yourself from view.
Technique/Arrowstorm - (locked) Ranged Combat, but at close range.
Psionic/Unleash Abomination - (locked) Shoot arrows when attacked, shoot arrows when you shoot arrows, and make enemies into arrows.
Psionic/Unleash Nightmare - (locked) Put enemies to sleep and torment them in their dreams.

Psionic/Mindshaped Materials - Reinforce your light armor, pin enemies down, and summon walls using your command of fine materials.

Note: This is the first release and balance may be weird because I am not very good at balancing things. If you want a bit more polished class, wait a few days.
Adds a new class, the Lost, designed by Thornstromb and developed by me.
The Lost is a new Afflicted class based around a hybrid of Archery and Stealth. Skulking in the shadows, the Lost is filled with a piercing hatred for the living.
A nasty glass cannon that relies on tools and inscriptions for survival, but does atrocious amounts of damage while undetected. You have an alternate version of stealth that never breaks, and while you have no inbuilt source of stamina regen, as a Willpower-main class you'll have plenty of stamina for most fights.

Adds the Void Scholar, a twisted Celestial class themed around cosmic expansion and the emptiness of space, featuring a unique starting scenario. Void Scholars are dedicated spellcasters with poor durability, but many ways to negate damage and debilitate foes. Their spells are ineffective against nearby targets, but grow incredibly potent when cast at a distance -- strike from the depths of infinity, where no eyes or blades can reach! They use a unique resource called "Void Energy" that is built up by casting certain spells and quickly disperses when out of combat, requiring careful management to retain momentum.

Logia (generic): Three forbidden chants to turn away slings, arrows, and everything else!
Void (generic): Render foes impotent before the majesty of the Void!
Vacuum: Draw upon the cosmic vacuum to replenish your resources!
Dilation: Pull space apart like putty to shred your foes!
Chaos: Crumble away your foes' defenses with the Void's power!
Collapse: Slowly crush enemies down to nothing under the Void's relentless weight!
Subspace: Ride and shape the Void to control the battlefield!
Dissolution: Dissolve away the material world to erode the strength of those who oppose you!
Genesis (locked): Repaint the world in your image to build overwhelming power!
Hyperspace (locked): Stretch and bend the universe to resculpt existence and unleash untold destruction!
Terminus (locked): Bring the slow, inevitable doom of the universe upon your foes!

All things come to an end, adventurer. Those who place themselves above the slow march of the cosmos should take heed not to stand upon nothing.

A new class, a Celestial summoner who draws on the powers of Shandral's other planets to call up elementals.
Their basic trees summon and support Fire, Ice, and Lightning Elementals, as well as providing utility effects.
Their unlockable advanced trees rain down Meteors and twist Time Elementals into being.
They start with Chants, and a new tree in the vein of chants and hymns. They can unlock Celestial Light.

Their main resource is negative energy, which they generate by summoning and some other spells, and spent by others.

This mod should be compatible with just about everything.

Adds the High Guard, a mage subclass. The High Guard is a melee fighter with mid-range spells who can wield any staff in one hand and favors shields in the offhand.
Primary stats are Magic and Strength. All talents are spells and use only mana. Attacks with both staff and shield, with nearly all attacks (save for bumps) dealing the damage type your staff is currently alinged to.

Adds the Grove Keeper, a Wilder subclass. The Grove Keeper is pirmarily a mindpower-caster with limited summoning ability, but has the option to mix slings, or one-handed weapons and unarmed attacks, into their skill set. They are also able to become proficient with mindstars and focus wholly on mind-casting. Includes advanced class categories favoring either weapon-hybrid or mind-casting play style, with the advanced hybrid tree working equally well for ranged or melee.

Not all adventurers seek fortune, not all that defend the world have good deeds in mind.
Lately the number of sightings of horrors have grown tremendously. People wander off the beaten paths only to be found years later, horribly mutated and partly insane, if they are found at all. It is becoming evident something is stirring deep below Maj'Eyal.
That something is you.

Forbidden Cults is a big expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal to let you explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface, to delve in long lost knowledge and lore and as usual to die a lot!

Forbidden Cults makes two new classes available to play:

• Writhing One: Give in to the corrupting forces and turn yourself gradually into an horror, summon horrors to do your bidding, shed your skin and melt your face to assault your foes. With your arm already turned into a tentacle, what creature can stop you?
• Cultist of Entropy: Using its insanity and control of entropic forces to unravel the normal laws of physic this caster class can turn healing into attacks and call upon the forces of the void to reduce its foes to dust.

Both those classes use a new resource called Insanity that gradually makes you both more chaotic and powerful as it fills up.

Forbidden Cults makes two new races available to play:

• Drem: A corrupt subrace of dwarves, that somehow managed to keep a shred of sanity to not fully devolve into mindless horrors. They can enter a frenzy and even learn to summon horrors.
• Krog: Ogres transformed by the very thing that should kill them. Their powerful attacks can stun their foes and they are so strong they can dual wield any one handed weapons.

Forbidden Cults adds many new zones for you to explore and die in:

• Kroshkkur: An ancient Sher'tul Fortress laying half in ruins that serves as a focal point, and home, for all kinds of creatures seeking lost knowledge.
• The Maggot: A huge living corrupted worm about to destroy Kroshkkur! Teleport inside and save your sanctuary of horrors!
• The Godfeaster: Deep undergroud the ground shakes as ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• The Scourge Pits: On the south of the Iron Throne lays a fool pit of ... -- redacted by corrupt forces --
• Forbidden Tomes: Find special artifact books of ancient lore. But, read at your own peril, for the story they tell may very well suck you in... quite literally.
  Maybe you will even find The One That Writes...
• Occult Egress: A strange, extremely old, contraption of unknown origin. It seems to require some kind of code sequence to activate. Maybe you will find some during your adventures?
• The Entropic Void: So you think you are strong? Powerful? Invulnerable? In the end, entropy always wins, as you will learn...

What would an expansion about horrors be without a bunch of new horrors to torment you with? Please give a warm welcome to:

Adds the Schizophrenic class.

Various enhancements to escort quest NPCs:
- Escorts now follow the player when not close to the portal.
- Escorts occasionally say useful things.
- Escorts heal 5% of their maximum health per turn.

Modifies the Attune Mindstar talent to allow individual control over the nature-vs.-mind attument of your mainhand and offhand wielded mindstars. Also adds a status indicator in the buffs display showing the attunement of your wielded mindstars.

Adds the Fallen Meditant class. The Fallen was once a monk; training in a natural combat style upon a mountain. They have been cast down.

Contains several classes developed by Root of All Things, including:

• Raider: A Tinker who fights with a melee weapon in one hand and a steamgun in the other. The Raider has mastered the deadly art of throwing explosives everywhere, even if they risk hurting themselves with it.

Coming Soon:

• Animist: A Wilder who is blessed by the spirits of fire, ice, wind and earth. The Animist conjures weapons that scale with his talents, and switches between them based on a set of Stances.

Update Notes - v1.0.0 - Raider, Revived

• Now compatible with ToME 1.7.
• Many bugfixes.
• Strength scaling removed. Now starts with daggers and scales primarily with DEX and CUN.

    * Seaward Charge - X Marks the Spot: Periodically mark a tile within range while in combat. Reaching this tile grants a boost to your attack and steam speed for several turns.

This addon aims to make Sandworm Lair less terrible.

It does so by doing four things: Enabling natural tunnels, disabling burrowers, replacing the walls with their stable counterparts, and removing the alt version.

Adds a new class evolution for Berserker, the Barbarian.

As a Barbarian, the Berserker loses the ability to equip body armor, but gains the ability to wield a two-handed weapon in their off-hand. Additionally, they will unlock Technique/Duelist and Technique/Dual Weapons at 1.0 mastery. Finally, each turn the Barbian attacks a foe, they will automatically eneter a blocking stance to deflect damage with their weapons, potentially setting up deadly counter-strikes.

Adds the Calligrapher, a short-ranged mage class that uses ceaseless aggression and high mobility to debilitate their enemies in a whirl of bloodied ink.
The goal is to make a class where instantly dashing into the middle of a pile of rares and laying about with AoEs is the correct way to play, rather then elaborate suicide.
They primarily deal darkness damage, with secondary fire and blight elements.
They use the brand-new Ink resource, notable for having a hard cap of 100 Ink. Ink is restored by killing high ranked enemies, or by damaging yourself with Blood Distillation.
Aside from the usual unlocked Combat Training and Survival, Calligrapher uses completely unique trees. It has 4 unlocked class trees, one locked class tree and one generic tree.

Planned changes:
-I have an idea for another locked class category
-I might add another generic category as well
-A few of the sustains might have particle effects added to them, like Divine Cipher
-It is distantly possible that I might add sound effects to the class. I'm generally not a fan of ToME's sound design though, so this is unlikely.

I like to think that I've been fairly thorough in playtesting, but there are probably still bugs and exploits lurking.
If you run across any bugs then please report them. Include the relevant lua error and whether you have any other addons active.
There shouldn't be any other addon conflicts, since I've made liberal use of shortnames and haven't superloaded anything destructively, but it's still possible that there are some.
I do still recommend having as few non-essential addons active as possible, but this addon shouldn't affect even non-Calligrapher playthroughs due to the class being disabled on random enemies.

Modifies mastery and perfection egos to only roll from what you have unlocked and have at least 1 point in, to reduce useless rolls.

Description

This addon adds the Bristlebarb as a playable class.
Bristlebarbs hate everyone with a passion, but refuse to lower themselves to the levels of other by fighting.
Their scorn alone empower them as they cover themselves in spikes and trudge their own path, in blood.

Bristlebarbs use no weapons but are covered in a living bramble that they can control.

They use a special resource : thorns.
Higher thorn count give them bonus damage.
Lower thorn count slow them down but increase their armor, as their thorn become dead wood.
Extremely low thorn will prevent all movement.
Thorns default to 50% on rest and increase in the presence of worthy enemies (rare rank and above).

5 unique class trees (1 locked) :
Scorn : A manifestation of their hate for the outside world
Flow of the thorn : You move like a vine, nothing stopping you from growing wherever you want.
One with the thorn : More and more, your body changes and adapt.
Mutation : your thorns started simple, what are they becoming now ?
Wrath of the thorn : harness your hate to guide your thorns in devastating attacks.

1 Unique generic tree (locked) :
Roots : a generic tree all about getting hit and doing nothing

Bristlebarbs can not appear on NPC.

Allows you to choose which escorts you will encounter at the start of the game.
You may change the future encounters in the game menu (Esc).

There is an option to choose a random escort in case you just wanted to guarantee some unlocks before continuing with the base game's behavior.

Note: You're only supposed to be able to choose the lost tinker once. (Must have the Embers of Rage DLC and unlocked by playing in the Orcs campaign)

This adds a new Evoker class which is both corrupted and cursed (though it shows up under Defilers). They are a magic class that does blight damage and evokes a demon to serve you.

It is possible for you and your demons to help or hurt each other with some spells and skills. Learning how to work with and around your minions will be key.

This is an overhaul of the class because it didn't feel as good to play and balanced as I wanted it to.

- Took out both shadows trees and Black Magic. Added Darkness, Vim, and Doom Covenant (locked) trees. Locked Fearfire. Took out Torment so that you have to wait to use higher vim cost skill until you have more vim in your pool, or use your life with Bloodcasting.
- Made demon summons immune to fear and tweaked their life, armor, and defense to give them a bit more survivability.

Adds Hiveminders, an insect-themed wilder class, as a birth option. Hiveminders are a melee class specialising in dual-wielded daggers or psiblades. They command their vast hivemind to lend them potent support and utility powers which make up for their lacking offense.

Hiveminders also have access to the Combat Training, Lethality, Call of the Wild, and Mindstar Mastery generic trees by default, and can additionally unlock the Fungus and Mobility trees through levelling up.

Power is a subtle thing, adventurer. The smallest of factors can make the greatest of differences.

This addon makes items description easier to read and determine on a glance it's usefulness
- sorts all stats by category - DPS/DEF/MISC
- item's passive power always the same blue color (not a random blue-yellow-pink-green)
- item's usable power - always yellow
- all rarity categories are displayed
- encumbrance value moved to the right under item name
- "on hit" powers always green
- "Stats" have an ornage highlight and placed before others because it's most important one
- Removed many extra-explain details, which any veteran player would not want to read each time
for example, stat "S.pwr/crit" shorten from "Spellpower on spell critical (stacks up to 3 times)"
means you do remember that it can stack only 3 times, and is not so super important anyway

Adds the Inferno Forger, a tinker class. As steamtech swept over Maj'Eyal, some mages adapted to it. Similar to Psyshots, these so-called Inferno Forgers use steampower to enhance their own powers - in this case, fire magic.

Druid class:
Uncast spells to produce nature based magical effects.
Its an agile nature mage, but can be played as a fighter/mage hybrid, or as a summoner hybrid.
Uses staves, alchemist gems and equilibrium.
Werebeast Class:
Werebeast fits somewhere between Cursed and Wyrmic, with a touch of Rogue thrown in.
Flavour is you have been cursed by nature's hate at those who harm it.
Can be played with conventional weapons or dual mindstars, stealthy or heavy.
Uses both Hate and Equilibrium.
Woodsman Class:
Archery, Summoning and Traps.
Use whatever you need to survive.
Summoner:
A full rework is available.
Allows you to command your critters to attack or defend.
Wyrmic:
A few talents improved and many new categories.
General:
Loads of nature based artifacts.
A few of new inscriptions.
Oozemancer can get the Wild-gift/Symbiant category.

Zigur:
As Druid's use spells they cannot become a Zigur follower, as this would make all their talents unusable.
However, you can still attempt to join Zigur, you might get something special instead.

Talent changes:
Lightning Speed now converts your damage to lightning for your next hit.
Wing Buffet replaced with Ember Scales: a flamey aura sustain.

Adds several new classes and races:
- Bladebender class: Psionic melee fighter that triple-wields daggers and has "meta" talents that can modify other talents.
- Harbinger class: Wilder melee fighter that channels storms through their attacks. More powerful against groups of foes than against single targets. Their class talents do not use resources.
- The Cooler Anorithil class: Revamp of the Anorithil class that must directly alternate between Solar and Lunar talents instead of managing positive/negative energy.
- Zephyr class: Basically a ranged and exclusively lightning-based version of Arcane Blade. Overpowered, not a serious class, and mostly exists to demonstrate instant projectiles.

- Moon Fox race: Race that can radically transform class and generic talents by attaching tails to them.
- Dreamelf race: Overpowered race that can reposition enemies and shorten talent cooldowns.
- Lich race: Undead race that can convert a portion of all their damage into a damage type of their choice.

This addon also makes a couple other changes to make the Zephyr class work:
- Feather Wind is no longer snapshottable, provides less defense but provides both melee and ranged defense, and its maximum encumbrance is no longer spellpower-dependent.

Other than that, the addon tries not to affect existing classes/races/talents. The new classes won't appear on enemies or Adventurers.

Adds a swordsmaster class to the game.

 - Added a new talent tree, Technique/Fencing which has defensive talents related to parrying.
 - The talent Web of Steel has been moved from Swordsmanship to Fencing. It's place in the Swordsmanship tree has been taken by a new talent, Vorpal, which gives Physical Power and Armor Penetration.
 - The talent Crescent Sweep has been reworked. It deals more damage, inflicts bleed, moves before attacking, no longer allows swapping places, and has a cooldown. It's usage as a spammable movement talent for swapping places has been filled by the new Mist Step talent on the Fencing tree.

Adds the Frost Invoker, a mage subclass.

The Frost Invoker is a Cold-focused caster and unarmed fighter. Their primary stats are Magic and Dexterity.
Frost Invokers know Combat Training and Survival(locked) and have 11 new spell trees, 3 generic and 8 class (of which 3 start locked).

Generic:

Frozen Core: Unarmed training with 40/80 Mag/Dex dam mods, and utility.
Rime Guard: Defense, with a damage shield and one-shot protection.
Ice Floes: Mobility and utility focused on an icy ground effect.

Class:

Hail: Offensive spells which can reduce the cd of Artic talents.
Arctic: Unarmed attacks with AoE, a pin, a multi-hit, and a gap closer.
Winter: Utility and defense, with a decoy and a scout.
Frost: Defense and utility focused on building and consuming a stacking effect.
Chill: Debuffs which proc on cold damage, with active conditional sustain stripping.

Locked:

Blizzard: Defense and debuffs focused on a single AoE spell.
Icicles: Adds a cold-damage psuedo-weapon that procs on unarmed attacks. (high level)
Cryomania: Maical and physical synergy, and cold resist / ice-block penetration sustain. (high level)

Takedown - Perform a short dash to a target, striking it in melee and pinning it if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Rip and Tear - Deals melee weapon damage, Bleeds, and increases Hate. Disarms if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Mournful Howl - Deals Darkness and Mind damage in a small radius and increase Hate. Causes a random gloom effect if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level and Mindpower. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Throatseeker - Deals high melee weapon damage and increases Hate. Silences if used from Stealth. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.

Cursed / Prowl (WIL)
Prowl - It's Stealth.
Pounce - It's Shadowstrike.
Nocturnal - It's the stealth regen thing but instead of Life and Stamina, it's Life and Equilibrium.
Into the Woods - Re-enter stealth no matter if enemies are near you or not. No cost, but high cooldown and breaks like regular stealth.

Cursed / Gore (WIL, Locked)
Bloodlet - Critical weapon attacks also apply Bleed. Bleed increases based on talent level.
Dig In - Deals melee weapon damage and intensifies Bleed effects on the enemy. Costs Hate and Equilibrium, damage based on talent level. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Frenzied Swipe - Lash out and swipe madly at everything around you, dealing damage and applying Bleed. Claws of the Beast must be active.
Shadow of the Pack - Sustain that causes triggers a weak melee attack against all Bleeding enemies in a short radius. Costs Equilibrium to sustain, and Hate once per turn that it triggers.

Claws of the Beast - Sustain that gives you some Physical critical chance as well as have a chance to cast your current level of Instill Fear on a single target on melee attacks. Costs Equilibrium, damage based on talent level and Mindpower. Cannot be used with anything in hands. Also passively provides unarmed mastery and makes gloves scale with STR and WIL.
Ravenous Hunger - Gain Hate each turn a Bleeding enemy is in range.
Fight or Flight - Trained Reactions but it costs Equilibrium.
Beastly Form - When active, you gain a stack of Seethe and Grim Resolve (if you know them) automatically and Intimidate enemies around you.

Technique / Combat training

A variation on wyrmics, as a multi-elemental debuff-centered class.
Rather than having their abilities scattered among the elements, they'll rank up melee attacks, mental attacks, and elements separately.

The core of Wyrmic is:
Combat Techniques
Draconic Combat - provides weapon attacks.
Draconic Energy - provides mindpower attacks.
Draconic Body - provides mobility and survivability.

Then, a wyrmic picks one of the six natural elements: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Sand, Acid, or Poison. Each element has a single ability available right away, and a set of advanced skills that require a category point to access.
Finally, the advanced Prismatic Tree rewards you for changing elements.

Apex Predator - new generic tree that fills in a few gaps and lets you wear gems.

This pack compiles several classes, with an emphasis on hybrid design. Not all classes are complete: the ones which I'm not satisfied with are marked as either INCOMPLETE or "in BETA".

- The Transcendent Fist is an unarmed Psionic warrior, using a gem in his TK slot to hit with flexible energy types.
- The Storm Warden is a melee-and-ranged skirmisher with magical mobility and support spells.

- The Gravitic Infantry is a melee-focused Chronomancy user (formerly named the Heavy).
- The Creep is a stalker in the dark, cunning and covert in his hate.

- The Flenser is a Defiler whose knives debilitate and torture his victims.
- The Blood Mage is a Vim-based caster with a mild dip into staff-melee combat.

(BETA) Shield Hero is an Adventurer who starts with heavy armor and a shield. Not very exciting unless you were annoyed about not being able to equip your Adventurer's shield right away.
(BETA) Prototype Hero is an Adventurer who starts with 1.3 mastery in every category. Not very useful for players, but it might be interesting for addon writers to spitball new category combinations.

(INCOMPLETE) The Flux Marauder is a Paradox thug, stealing time from his enemies.

This was created by Speeder, who has not played in 5+ years under that name.

This addon is yet another OP human subrace, it features strong fire and light based racial talents, extra quests, dungeons, and items that give more character building points.

The difference between this addon and the one uploaded by speeder is the racial passive on speeder's was set to reduce life reduction each talent point instead of the advertised fire damage, I removed the life regeneration reduction and re-enabled the fire damage.

I did this because this race would have amazing synergy with The Shining One demented class and I wanted to do a playthrough like that.

Adds the Mindslinger as a new, Yeek-only, Psionic subclass.
Mindslingers wield slings in their main-hand and telekenetic weapon slots and gain many bonuses while their off-hand slot is empty, ranging from defense to added procs on ranged attacks.
One part Mindslayer, one part Solipsist, a dash of Skirmisher, just a pinch of Arcane Blade and Cursed, and 100% Grade-A Yeek.

Introduce Phantom Warrior, a two-handed chronomancy class.
Different from other chronomancers who are adept at traveling along the timeline, Phantom Warriors enhance their craft in manipulating the space of the battlefield. Each strike of their hefty two-handed weapon has a chance of breaking the stability of surrounding aether, creating inferior phantoms of themselves that last only for a short while. In order to thrive in combat, Phantom Warriors need to manage their phantoms wisely along with other resources.

Known problems:
- The size of the save file tends to grow quite large by late game. It appears to be caused by some reference counting issues plus the fact that inventories are cloned. Dead/expired phantoms still show up as party members even though they shouldn't be. Please let me know if anyone has ideas about how to work around this issue.

A new Bombardier class which is a variant of the Alchemist. Bombardiers forgo using a golem in order to focus more on the effects of their bombs and their own combat viability.

Adds a new class into the game, a mage warrior hybrid. There can never be enough hybrid classes, right?

The Spell Blade is a warrior that uses magic in order to enforce their attacks with destructive spells.
They use their magic to cripple their foes and overwhelm them with swift strikes.
Their use of magic is innate and not really studied; as such they do not naturally regenerate mana and must use external means of recharging.
Therefore they also rely on channeling their spells through weapons or tools rather than casting large bolts of fire or beams of arcane energy as Archmages do. Nevertheless the result can be just as devastating.

v2.0 is a revamped version and is incompatible with old save files (too many talents were changed to work in a different way).

Contains 6 new categories.

Beholders resemble floating orbs of flesh with large mouths, a single central eye, and lots of smaller eyestalks on top with deadly magical powers. This addon adds three new content: a new race, a new class and a new area with mini-games.

I., Adds a new race: the Vorloth.

Vorloths are not from Eyal, they are from planet Luxam.
They are unique sound creatures, fragile but powerful.
Vorloths have their own starting zone, and they have a unique post-game boss fight.

II., Adds a new Chronomancer subclass, the Quantum Slider.

The class has a very unique way of gameplay: you should run & teleport as fast and as many times as you just can.

You can enter into a new shop, where ring imbuing can be done like in Angolwen.
This enables anti-magic characters imbuing too, before the East.

You can play two different mini-games there too:

a, a Soko-Ban puzzle game

b, and a real time epic Space Battle game

These mini-games have no effect on the campaign, these are for enjoyment.

Adds the Berzerker class, a modified Berserker with a mix of pre- and post-1.2.0 Berserker talents.

Adds the Harrier class. The Harrier is a member of the rogue metaclass who focuses on throwing knives, although she can punch things in a pinch. This addon Overloads throwing-knives.lua.

My personal twist on and combination of "TLR's Stat changes" by thelastraven, "Moderately Generous Levels" by Chaotic Heretic, and "Constitution Viability Buff" by Raenarill.

This is my first ToME mod, so bear with me, I'm still working on balance and stuff, just give me constructive criticism please!

Leveling changes:
Sets max level to 100, though you still get the bonus points at 50. Birth stats remain unchanged.

+ 0.2% resist all per level after 50, so 10% should you reach level 100.

Level 2 is a "double" level, granting double the normal points (6 stat, 2 class/generic points)
Extra stat point every even level, starting at level 4.
Extra class point ever odd level, starting at level 3.
Gets rid of the extra class point and removal of a generic point at level intervals of 5.
One category point at levels 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 50, 75, and 100. Removed point at 34.
Two prodigies at level 25, and then one at 50, 75, and 100. Removed prodigy at 42.

Constitution changes:
Max life per point increased from 4 to 5.
Added 0.04 life regen/turn per point.
Added 0.25% Heal Mod per point.
Added 1 Stamina per point.

This is my take on TLR's (thelastraven) stat changes mod.

Mainly I just wanted my own exact preferences registered on te4 to be honest.

I liked the overall concept, but felt some of the changes were too powerful even for some nightmare runs on mid classes.

This mod takes the basic shell of TLR's stat changes, then strips out some extra global bonuses to resists and nerfs some constition changes I felt went too far

This mod goes over particularly well with other overpowered fun addons, like the multi-class challenge.

There are also maybe some unlisted changes to what willpower does, looks like giving bonuses to mana/stamina/psi? I'm scared to touch that section so far.

The game will be a complete cakewalk at lower difficulties, be aware.

I just tweaked some values, all credit goes to TLR, Chaotic Heretic, and Raenarill.

Adds the White Monk, a warrior subclass.

The White Monk wields no arms, instead using intense focus and training to turn their body into a weapon. They fend off enemy blows with their immense willpower and can preform healing and regenerative rites. Primary stats are Dexterity and Willpower. White Monks have the unique ability to project unarmed melee attacks at a distance, with talents that allow them to strike many targets in a area, as well. White Monks have a base damage modifier for hand gear of 60% Dex and 60% Wil, and gain some of the same benefits to unarmed attacks as Brawlers.

Includes seven new talent trees and incorporates a few existing trees from Warrior and Rogue classes.

Rending - Attack your foes from afar and sap their energy.

Mending - Heal and cleanse yourself and even prepare a rite that can ward off death itself.

Fending (generic) - Ward off enemy assaults, directing some damage to your stamina pool.

Agile Combatant - Move across the battlefield with unmatched agility.

Martial Arts - Master the art of unarmed fighting and gain bonus strikes from your attacks.

Black Belt (locked) - Learn advanced fighting techniques to cripple your foes and react with finely honed reflexes.

Transcending(locked) - Directly manipulate your foes' spirits to sap their energy and learn to project your spirit to assail all nearby foes.

Adds the Mirrorblade, a chronomancer that calls upon his temporal twin. Unlike Temporal Wardens, Mirrorblades train exclusively with melee weapons, and only ever call upon one other timeline for aid. However, this specialized training has resulted in an extremely effective paired combat style.

Descriptions

Add Discordant as playable psionic subclass. A psionic tank with death radius around them (think of Mindrot, but less sucky). Wins battle through attrition, melts trash mobs just by standing. Can also spam tele-frags if you feel like it.

Add Kudzu as playable wilder subclass. Invasive, annoying, and hard to get rid of. Master of crowd controls and area denials. Cover the world with fungus, lichens, moss, and kudzus.

Add Scorpion as playable rogue subclass. Stealthy brawler with poison fist. Pull in your enemy and dethrone them with chain of combos.

Add Critic as playable afflicted subclass. High-risk, high-reward, critical-centric class that use feedback pool as life. Overpower your enemy with overwhelming amount of Gestures, or die from receiving too much criticism.

This addon requires the Embers of Rage DLC to function.

Adds Heartstalker, a psionic class themed around the subconscious, as a birth option. Heartstalkers are a stealth-oriented class that start with twin daggers. Confounding foes's perceptions with their strange psychic power, they weaken their victims from afar, unseen and untouchable, before drawing in close for the kill when they feel the time is right. Take care, however, for though your mind is a potent shield against hostile intent, the physical flesh it guards is exceedingly frail.

One year has passed since the one the Orcs call the "Scourge from the West" came and single-handedly crushed the Orc Prides of Grushnak, Vor, Gorbat, and Rak'Shor.  The Allied Kingdoms, now linked by farportal to their distant, long-lost Sunwall allies, have helped them conquer most of Var'Eyal.  The few remnants of the ravaged Prides are caged...  but one Pride remains.  Kruk Pride, isolated on an island, is the last orcish settlement that stands; they, too, face their impending doom.  The Sunwall has blockaded the only exit point from the island, and now, the technologically advanced civilization of Steam Giants have come down from the mountains to take their homeland with machines and weaponry unlike anything else on Eyal.  Kruk Pride has reverse-engineered their technology before; their only hope is to do it again and rise up against the Pride's foes.

Quality of Life improvements for resting and auto-exploring.

v3.5.0 *** FOR ToME v1.6.5 ***
This is a fork (with permission) of Marson's auto-explore and rest tweaks. It includes as well C.Lowe/CaptainTrip's improvements as well. It does not include, but recommends also using Johnny0's Faster RRE add-on for even better rest and auto-explore experience. This add-on contains numerous Quality of Life improvements designed to make resting and auto-exploring easier to use, brings the add-on overall up to being compatible with 1.6.x, and generally seeks to remove it being more optimal to do timed rests or manual recovery (particularly to help higher difficulty level and players without Faster RRE). Cleaned up feature list in this take, to make it easier to see what it does.

It is recommended to turn off Marson's Rest and Auto-Explore as well as C.Lowe's Rest Tweaks if using. This addon is meant to include all of them.

Latest Update Notes:
• Changed steam sustain behavior to match current gameplay. Before sustains tended to shut off when available resource was 0, now they don't seem to do so. This will now only turn off sustains that drain steam if steam is going below 0, so as to get to a steady finish state.
• Fix minor bug where stealth enabling was always on if you had it.
• Added new option to ignore quest members when resting or exploring. It defaults to off but for those folks that know they want to ignore those quest allies and rest a bit.

Existing Features:
• removed First Sighting and Reset on Rest. Someone can patch them in if they'd like it back, but I'm not really keeping them alive.
• Fixed actor bugs causing Elemental Surge to never reset. Thanks Reca♥den.
• Fixed bug with Paradox Spacetime Tuning from 1.5.5. This may rebreak posessors with paradox, hard to kinda test.

• When resting, it will check for infusions and runes that could be used to accelerate HP, Mana, or Equilibrium (via Ancestral Life or Meditation) recovery. If the acceleration appears significant, it will use them, rotating from first available infusion or rune outward. In experiment, I found this often reduced rest turn time by 50-80 percent, improving the more drained the resource was. Particularly helpful for Mana, as it avoids trade-off advantages of short term resting (for increased mana regen) + rune use by just handling that more optimal play for you automatically without breaking rest.
• Support for steam implants, with usual checkboxes. This may not always be faster based on steam sustains that may disable after the initial round of rest and steam implants having very long cooldowns (30+ turns) and steam's resource max being pretty small. It tries to be conservative on that, so will most likely help for cases where your functional steam regen rate is < 2.00 and never activate for things much above it. I found I was often getting 5-20 steam per turn, which makes the implant support useless.
• Supports for medical healing salve injectors. Cooldown measurements are a bit odd here, since they can range from 5-20 depending on injector. Went with 10 as a happy medium for how many turns of natural regen is considered to be equal to the cooldown cost of using it.
• Adding support to auto-stealth if available and not stealthed.
• Option for ignoring small damage when moving and resting, basically if it is <5%, it will ignore it by default, prevent small DoTs from preventing rest.
• Options added to control whether or not to use inscriptions to accelerate recovery of things.
• Fixes a ToME bug that can cause autoexplore or running to move only a single square and hang if used immediately after killing an enemy.
• Lore discovery will only stop autoexplore if it triggers a popup.
• Autoexplore will ignore Exploratory/Infinite Farportal return portals until the entire level has been explored.
• Ignores special terrain features such as Font of Healing after they are first discovered.
• Ignores open chests and alt Maze floor cracks.
• Rest and AE ask for confirmation if you have an escort in your party.
• Ignore already activated pedestals.
• Checks for and waits on any rechargeable items.
• Checks for and reloads any ammo in offhand quiver.
• Waits for cooldowns of talents set to auto-use.
• Waits for depleted air to replenish.
• Combines all checks into a single instance of rest, rather than having cooldowns etc. require a second resting phase.

Determines how auto-explore and running respond to telepathy, including mouse moves. Regardless of the setting, hostiles seen via telepathy will not halt resting or the Rod of Recall, nor trigger automated talents. Unique or powerful monsters (rank > 3) will always trigger a halt to running when they are spotted via telepathy for any mode except 'Original'.

Available modes:
• 'Always Viligant' always stops running when a hostile creature is seen via telepathy.
• 'Original' is standard ToME auto-explore behavior, which ignores telepathy when running or auto-exploring.

• Compatible with ToME v1.6.0

• Telepathy will not prevent auto-exploring the way normal sight will. If a halt is triggered by telepathy, hitting auto-explore again will move you at least one more square in the direction of the auto-explore path. If in 'Always Viligant' mode and a hostile is within telepathic sight (but not normal sight), you will auto-explore in 1 square per keypress increments.

Quick Recovery: Quick Recovery and Fast Metabolism merged. Lifegain scales with CON.
Warrior's Determination: If more than one enemy is visible, take reduced damage, improving as you see more enemies.
Spell Shield: Spell save unchanged. 4-15% Arcane/Fire/Cold/Lightning resist added. When you save against a magical effect, daze the caster for 1-3 turns.
Unending Frenzy: Once a turn when you hit an enemy in melee you gain a 3 turn 0.7%-2.5% combat speed bonus which stacks up to 10 times. Kills restore life/stamina, lifegain scales with CON and occurs once per turn.

This version has seen a complete playthrough main AoA campaign on insane roguelike without major issues, however it's still being tested and subject to change.

This addon overloads the combat techniques tree, and is therefore incompatible with any addon or future versions which change that file.

0.9.5: Tooltips clarified, small numerical adjustments.

If you capture a soul via Soul Leech (or other method) while you are at maximum soul capacity and your Hiemal Shield is depleted, allows you to store the soul in a temporary Hiemal Buffer to be used to pay the soul cost the next time your Hiemal Shield regenerates (normal mana costs still apply).

Adds the Gladiator, a warrior subclass. Gladiators are weapons experts and can wield one-handed weapons in either hand with ease, however they are also proficient with two-handed weapons and shields.
They learn many techniques for use with Axes, Maces, Swords and even more exotic weapons. Gladiators are able to quickly swap weapons and stack numerous detrimental effects on their foes, then finish them off with skills that grow more deadly the more devastated their enemies become.
Includes six new class trees and one new generic tree, allowing for a variety of builds. Will you wield maces and shields and wear your foes down while sheltered inside your armor or put defense aside, pick up a pair of waraxes and become The Axebutcher?

Aadd-on that expands on the available Egos and Semi-Random Artifacts available. Introduces all sorts of new Effects and Talents used with both! For example:

Spellslinger - A Passive that increases Spellpower per visible enemy in a range of 2 - Rolls on Hats

Nether Resonance - A Passive found on the Semi-Random Artifact 'Netheric Diadem' that increases Light resist by half of Magic stat and Nature resist by half of Willpower stat.

Combust - Found on 'Pyrophage' items, if you hit a burning enemy, cause an aoe of fire damage and gain a temporary life-regen buff.

Mystical Recovery - Found on shields, when blocking, 20% chance to lower the cooldown of a random spell-type talent based on item level.

All That Glitters - Activated talent found on Rings, gives you a temporary buff to Spellpower based on how much money you have.

This is only a small sampling of new additions among the 10 semi-random Artifacts and 100+ Egos. There are still many more of both to come and I will be posting a full breakdown of all the new components soon. At this time, many of the added Egos are Greater, so they will only appear on blue or purple items. Designed to be compatible with other addons, please report any possible collision issues.

Allows you to toggle which classes can or cannot appear on random bosses and rares.

Stoics are warriors who dedicate their lives to mastering countless secret techniques.
Their wide variety of abilities allows them to fight their way out of any situation.
However, in order to fight at full effectiveness, they must first focus and steel themselves against the battle to come. Exceptionally skilled Stoics are said to infuse their attacks with elemental powers to create radical new fighting styles.

Stoics are a warrior subclass inspired by the Samurai class from Hengband. They are a melee class with a wide variety of specialized combat techniques, but require judicious use of their unique Focus resource to succeed. Their advanced trees allow them to alter the element of their attacks and grant passive effects as long as the stance is maintained.

In the realm of Titania, the Midsummer Queen, there live the Faeries, mystical beings as graceful as they are fickle. Drama and mayhem spring forth wherever they walk, and those whose lives they touch are forever changed, their fates intertwined with that of the mysterious Faesong. New paths opened by the Fae currently include:

Moonchild (class): Unfortunate souls infused with the faeries' magic from birth, bent by its will as they bend it to theirs. Fetch (race): Wretched imitations of mortals created by and for the faeries' fancy, forever yearning to be whole. Shatter your body and soul to shift your identity and avoid danger, and mimic the talents of others to make yourself at last complete!

Additionally includes a new starting scenario with original art, music, and dialogue, 7 new artifacts, 6 new enemy mobs, and an unlockable Fae-Drake category for Wyrmic. The realm of the Fae is ever-changing, and new paths may yet open in the future!

Adds the Stoneshaper, a wild caster. Stoneshapers manipulate terrain, creating or destroying it at need, and have been known to forge formidable weapons from stone.

This adds three new classes, two of which are loosely based on the Headless Horror, plus a mini-adventurer that gets talents from all three.
All are considered Demented, but use a new resource instead of insanity and do *not* require Forbidden Cults.
Their talents do not appear on enemies.

This is a simple mod that requires the Embers of Rage DLC, and makes several buffs to the Gunslinger class, here is a list of changes:

Many talents have their steam cost reducded slightly.
Uncanny Reload now gains steam instead of costing any.
Steamgun Mastery grants an extra reload at level 1 instead of 2.
Double Shot's stun duration increased by 1 turn.
Evasive Shot's cooldown reduced to 15 instead of 30.
Agile Gunner's radius increased by 1.
Awesome Toss's duration now increases based on talent level. All resistance increased from 5 - 20 to 15 - 35.

A new demented class, the Shining One.

This addon requires the Forbidden Cults DLC to function.

Celestial Spellcasters who have been overcome with madness and become more and more like unto Luminous Horrors.
